Rear passaenger door handle broke preventing the door from staying closed. A passenger had to sit in the back seat(with seatbelt on) to hold door close inorder to get truck home. When home, I used Cargo Straps and strapped the inside door handles from drivers side to passenger side to keep the door closed. Made dealer aware of issue and they are not able to get me in to fix until Dec 31 (2 weeks from now) only cause I had another previously scheduled appointment on that date for another issue. This same exact problem happend back in Dec 2023 which was fixed by the dealer. It only happens WHEN ITS COLD AND FREEZING out.
Dashboard has bubbled. I contacted the dealership because I have an extended warranty with CNA and the claim was denied due to weather/ sun damage. My truck is a 2019 model and should not have this issue. The Service Rep. at the dealership told me he has noticed several dodge vehicles with the same issue. He said the glue that was used was an inferior adhesive. He said they recently repaired a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the same problem.

I have a rear window leak that is that is from a manufacturing defect, as described in this TSB: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2023/MC-10247466-9999.pdf I originally took the vehicle into the dealer in advance of my factory extended warranty expiring and they said they would call me back to schedule a fix/replacement. They never did. Now, my extended warranty has expired and when I went back in to schedule, they are saying that the repair will not be covered, despite the TSB and warranty extension being in place because the "XL1" code does not show up in their system. The dealer instructed me to call Stellantis Customer Care, where I was connected with an overseas call center that said they were unable to do anything and that I should return the vehicle to the dealer, who already told me they will not cover the repair. It has been several months of back and forth and I would like to get this corrected before I go through ANOTHER winter season with a leak.

The power folding mirrors have plastic gears in them that strip out. Once the gears are stripped out the mirrors are loose and can fold in while traveling due to the wind.

I have a leaking rear window which is well known in RAM trucks. I had it into the dealership and they said they sprayed a seal around it, I still have a heavy leak of water on both sides, damaging my interior seats and more . I am looking for some help on getting this fixed as I have be stone walled so far.
The infotainment touch screen options are becoming unusable. The screen is bubbling and no longer works when I touch certain options on the screen.
After starting the 2019 Ram 1500 Bighorn in the morning, or after starting the truck and putting it in Drive, the vehicle sometimes shifts itself from Drive into Neutral as we come to a stop. When this happens, the gear indicator on the dashboard begins blinking and displays the message: “Shift to P then desired gear.” On one occasion, as my wife was merging onto the freeway in front of an 18-wheeler, the vehicle suddenly went into Neutral as she slowed down to merge. When she pressed the gas pedal, the truck did not move, putting her in immediate danger and forcing her to coast while traffic approached from behind. This issue has made the vehicle unsafe to drive because it can unexpectedly drop into Neutral at critical moments for example, while crossing lanes, merging, or pulling into intersections. There are no warning lights or alerts before this occurs. Sometimes, the truck will lunge forward or move forward unexpectedly when slowing down. Other times, it just rolls even though we are pressing the gas because it’s actually in Neutral. The problem has been repeatedly reported to the local dealership, which has replaced several parts -including the transmission and performed multiple repair attempts, but the issue continues. No other independent mechanic or third party has inspected the vehicle only the local dealership. Due to the ongoing safety hazard and repeated failure to repair, I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this issue. The unpredictable shifting poses a serious risk to drivers/passengers and others on the road.
Hello. There is a recall on this vehicle (VB1) for vehicles manufactured up to 10/2019 My vehicle was manufactured 12/2019 with the same defective EGR COOLER that caused the recall on this vehicle. The manufacturer is saying they will not take car of the issue under warranty as my VIN number is not included in the recall. They are saying I need to contact you folks to include my VIN number into the recall. Are they correct? Are you able to assist in that? Really appreciate any help or guidance on this. A cracked backlite frame resulting in an interior water leak (crack is visible from the outside). Water leaks from the top of the backlite. There is a recall under Warranty Bulletins: U.S. D-23-17 (TSB: 23-098-23) for the same make, year, and model as this vehicle, but it is not listed as a specific recall for this VIN. In addition to the risk of mold in the vehicle, electronics located below the leak, such as the RF Module beneath the rear seat, could also be damaged. This could lead to the inability to remotely start the vehicle, or even start it at all, due to the module being used to recognize the key fob before the vehicle starts. This could strand an individual and represent a safety concern in this aspect. The problem is well known on other vehicles; see the previous reference for Warranty Bulletins: U.S. D-23-17 (TSB: 23-098-23). However, it is not listed for this VIN. The dealer and auto body shops have inspected the problem, and they can confirm that this matches the problem listed in the TSB. A known problem with the rear power and manual sliding window backlite frame developing cracks on 2019-2021 Ram 1500 built prior to September 30, 2020. The extended warranty has only been offered to the sales codes of GFE and GFD. My vehicle was built with a different sales code in Nov 2018 for the rear power sliding window but has developed the same issue. I have attached a photo showing the crack.

The issue is the MGU went out on truck. Dealer has no idea when a replacement will be available. Was told over 4100 are backordered. This appears to be an ongoing problem with these trucks for several months now. They blame supply chain issues. I feel it's on the manufacturer to readily have replacement parts. Clearly they didn't do their due diligence on this part. Something should be done to this company for the way they are treating customers. It's my only vehicle to get to and from work. Please put pressure on this company to get the necessary part.

The engine light came on, and I noticed some noise under the hood at the same time. The actual code for the OBD two diagnostics was poa43. Drive motor a position sensor circuit issue. It appears that the Rams have a E torque system that is failing over and over again its federal warranty is eight years and 80,000 miles. I am just above the mileage unfortunately it’ll have to pay thousands probably. This really shouldn’t fail on a vehicle like this and hundreds of people have it and the part is backordered so you have downtime of your vehicle for weeks if not months.

High pressure fuel pump failed causing a fuel system failure. The truck would not start and was towed to dealership. The dealership will not repair the recall since they will only use Mopar parts and none are available in the US.Other brand parts are available but they refuse to use them.
On 6-4-25 I was idling around a parking lot and my Ram truck SUDDENLY ACCELERATED by itself and took off....I slammed on the brakes and swerved to the side of the vehicle in front of me in case the truck didnt stop. The brakes squealed to a stop. Just in front of me was 4 lanes of traffic I would have driven across if the truck hadn't stopped...with 2 GRANDKIDS with me! It was not driver error and my floor mat was not in the way and I had not been using cruise control that day . But I did just have the truck in the shop a few days earlier for a recall on a software update

Rear window frame cracked in two places and checked with dealer and no recall for my VIN. Common issue with other trucks that did have a recall. Not sure why my vehicle does not have a recall.
The WiFi works on my truck but I have never set up an account or purchased it. I bought Ram 1500 new in 2018 (2019 truck though) and have owned it the entire time. I have called At&t multiple times and even went into one of their stores, they have run my vin, the IMEI # and the ICCID number and can find nothing on their end and say there is not an account. Yet, it is connecting to the At&t network. I have run speed tests that prove this and connected with both my phone and laptop. I took it into the dealership and they could not help either, just stated that is is weird. At&t has forwarded me to multiple people including stellantis, siruis gaurdian, and ram connect all of whom could not help. There are some other things going on with other devices that make me believe someone who had access to the truck may have done something and is using this to track me or access other data.
The rear widow is leaking water into the cab a wetting the seats.
I purchased a 2019 Ram 1500 in November and have since been unable to pass state inspection due to several issues with the vehicle. I have contacted the dealership three times to request repairs, but they have repeatedly told me there is nothing they can do. I reached out to the Massachusetts Lemon Law, and they advised me to contact a lawyer immediately. The problems preventing my vehicle from passing inspection include excessive play in the bushing of the right front upper control arm, excessive play in the ball joint of the right front lower control arm, issues with both front struts, and excessive wear on the stub shafts of the front differential assembly, necessitating a front axle replacement since a kit is unavailable. Additionally, both front axle shafts need attention, and I require four-wheel spacers to prevent tire rubbing, as well as four fender flares. Within the first 30 days of purchase, I informed the dealership about the truck's tires not passing inspection. They acknowledged the tires were worn but claimed they still passed. When alignment issues arose due to bad ball joints, the dealership insisted the ball joints were up to spec. Unsatisfied, I sought a second opinion from another Dodge dealership, which confirmed the ball joints were faulty and identified additional issues with the front axles, struts, control arms, and front differential assembly. I provided this information to the original dealership, seeking repairs, but was again told there was nothing they could do. I have documented all my communications with the dealership and their responses. At the time of purchase, I received a powertrain warranty through Zurich that covers the front axles and front differential assembly. However, the dealership did not provide an inspection report or certification of the vehicle's condition when I bought it.
Tailgate falling down on its own can barely open it when it's in the closed position. looked it up on recall with a VIN number and it is listed as a zb8 recall. I took my vehicle in for an unrelated issue, a wheel speed sensor that was throwing codes. When I brought it in they advised me about a serious engine oil leak. This issue is too fold. . As far as I'm concerned this should have been a recall due to its seriousness. The housing for the oil filter is made of plastic mounted on the engine block. I live in Buffalo New York, where we were experiencing Sub-Zero to zero temperatures it is not unlike putting a hot glass in cold water it cracks, also if it is tightened too much it can also crack, which shortly before this incident I did have it in for an oil change and tire rotation, suggestion would be to perhaps make the part out of aluminum. This could have caused a serious issue with oil splashing back on the rear tires causing a spin out, possible accident, possible injury or worse. Mopar has known about this as far as I can tell from my research as far back as 2013 on the 3.2 and 3.6 Pentastar in their Jeep products in fact there was a 2012 Jeep in for service with the same problem. Apparently this has continued on the same engine in Ram also. I was told by the service people at Joe Cecconi Chrysler in Niagara Falls New York that it was nothing that I did wrong. I certainly believe that since they knew about this for such a long time that they should reimburse at least in part, if not in total of that related service up to including other parts related to this issue and the oil. I am further concerned about this being a continuing issue.
When driving down the road the truck shifter goes to neutral and says put in park and then back in drive. It already happened to me 3 different times . If your driving down the road and it throws it in neutral and there cars around there subject to hit you or you hit someone. Especially if you can't pull over right away.
I have a 2019 Dodge Ram that slips out of gear and an error message comes up on dash "shift to park and then to desired gear". This is extremely dangerous as it happens in traffic. I have taken truck to dealer two times for four days each. They say that they cannot do anything unless they can recreate the same problem. It does not happen all the time but does happen in traffic. I videoed it when it happened but they say they need to see it. I asked if you see it what would you do and the answer is they do not know. I contacted dodge customer service and got a call but it was useless conversations. I see many other dodge truck owners online with same issue including videos too but dodge customer service seems to have no records of other drivers with same problem. Help. It is dangerous and I cannot not get anything other than a run around about they cannot recreate it. Help Help. First visit was 12/2024 and second visit was 01/2025. I selected other at this issue caused more the 3 items to fail. While driving the truck pretty much every light on the dash would come on, I would lose power steering, speedometer (both digital and analog), all gauges would malfunction, turn signals would not work and pretty much anything electronic would not function properly. At one point, this happened while driving on the interstate using cruise control. The truck was doing fine and then all of the sudden it popped into neutral from cruise and started to malfunction. There were also times where the transmission would not shift gears past first gear so that pretty much made it impossible to drive anywhere. As you can imagine, this is not only a safety issue for myself and my passengers, but also to anyone else on the road. I've seen many other cases of the same issue I experienced online in many forums and I really don't know why there isn't already a recall out for this. When I had my truck serviced to fix the issue, I'm almost positive I saw a recall for the ABS system that pertained to my issue, but after it was serviced I can no longer find that recall. The fix ended up being a replacement of the "star connector". I have a video of the malfunction actively taking place before it was repaired if that would help with anything.
The service Anti-lock brake system, and service electronic braking system, along with the lights come on. Also the electronic stability control (ESC) disables, and that light comes on as well. The cruise control does not work either. My truck year model is 2019, and a recall has been issued (reference number 75B/NHTSA/24V-653) for this same problem, but my vehicle was not included for whatever reason. I Attached some pics. Truck will not shut off. Had to disconnect the battery. ESC - Electronic Stability Control Warning came on Scheduled for inspection at dealer. No warning signs just happened suddenly. Would not start, had to jump the truck, then would not shut off followed by ESC warning. My VIN does not come up under the 85B recall but my truck has the issue
Back Window just imploded while driving there was no impact and nothing touched it, it shattered causing little shards of glass falling inside the back seat and this would have been very bad if we would have had anyone in the back seat! I investigated after this happened and found out more 5th Gen Ram owners with this same back window had the same issues
The RAM trailer brake controller has two problems, causing unsafe operation when connected to a camper or trailer with electric brakes. 1) When coming to a stop and feathering off the brake to stop smoothly, the trailer brakes are released too early, this causes the vehicle to be pushed forward, often into an intersection, pedestrian, or a vehicle opinion front of you! Care must be taken to avoid this! Alternatively, the trailer brake controller lever can be manually pressed to avoid the trailer brakes from being released early. The camper was tested by the camper dealer as OK This same camper does not have this problem if tested with other tow vehicles such as GMC, etc. 2) The RAM trailer brake controller does not output a full 12VDC to the connected trailer, even with the gain set to max (10) and full brakes are commanded either by the brake pedal, or the brake controller lever. This causes the trailer to not have full stopping powerm reducing the stopping distance, especially in an emergency stop. If the brake controller output is tested without a trailer connected, it will show 12V output. However, once a trailer is connected, the output drops to about 9.6 VDC. The camper has been tested by the camper dealer and was found to be ok. The camper was also tested with other brands of vehicles (Toyota, GMC, Chevrolet, Nissan), and no other vehicles except RAM exhibit this problem. This problem was also confirmed at a trailer dealer by using an independent trailer brake test meter (IPA #9107B Electric Brake Force Meter). The RAM has been taken to a RAM dealer multiple times since new, and each time the dealer said the RAM is working as designed. I have photos of the tests made on multiple RAM vehicles showing this issue, as well as other brands showing that they do not have the same issue.
My dashboard is bubbling and delaminating after only 18000 miles on a garage kept truck. my research has shown me this is an ongoing problem for this model and it severely affects its value Also if it delaminates on the air bag side could this be a safety issue?
To whom it may concern, I am making a safety complaint on a component that failed while operating the vehicle. My vehicle is a 2019 Ram 1500 Bighorn DT. The component that failed and almost cost me to crash my truck while in reverse and parking is called The Park Sense and The Rear Parking Assist . I started to have this problem back in the Summer around August 2024. I have brought the vehicle in to my dealer ( CHRYSLER, JEEP, DODGE OF PARAMUS N. J.) several times already, the first time they replaced the Park Sense Sensor Module and reset the computer. No sooner then I got home from the dealership and was reversing in my driveway the error messages came on and the truck did not sense the garage door and continued to back up thankfully I was able to brake hard and stop 6 inches from the door. Not only did the Park Sense warning come on but also The Rear Brake Assist did not stop the vehicle like it has in the past. I brought the vehicle back to the same dealership and they worked on it for about 6 hours gave it back to me and said they rerouted the wiring harness for the park sense module and it was working fine. As I get into my truck to leave the error messages came on the dashboard so I walked inside and showed the service manager and the tech that just finished working on my truck. They said to bring it back, they had no regards for my safety or the safety of others letting me leave the dealership with the truck acting up cause from time to time the brakes would suddenly come on causing the vehicle to stop abruptly. Nevertheless I strongly believe that there is a safety issue with the truck's Park sense sensor and Rear Brake Assist too. I do not know what to do can someone please help me? Thank you.
Unknown, this past winter while coming across a slight bend in the road my Ram lost control causing the rear to slide outward. I was driving very slowly on a slightly froze asphalt road. I don't think my traction control turned on. I almost slid into a fire hydrant on the side of the road.
I have a 2019 Ram Laramie and one of the power side view mirrors no longer works as it should because the plastic gear or the motor is broken. When you google the problem it seems to be a very common problem among RAM truck owners is typically occurs because the plastic (instead of metal) gears fail. This issue is a health and safety concern for the driver of these trucks with a broken mirror, other drivers on the road, and pedestrians. When the plastic gear breaks the mirrors so not stay in place as they should so when you go to look in the mirror the view/angle might be off (i.e. the mirror won't show the view that you set it to show because the mirror moves around due to the broken gear). There should be a recall on plastic gears to replace them with a metal gears.
Service Electronic Stability Control error thrown while driving down a main highway. Truck went into max RPM and slowed to 20MPH or less on a high traffic road and could have caused major accident. Truck is currently at the dealer awaiting diagnosis. No warning prior to failure and error message thrown and vehicle is currently on a recall for the same issue for same year make and model, however my VIN is not associated with the recall as of yet.
Air dam malfunction causing truck to shut off
the truck only has 42,529 miles on it and oil pan is rotted/rusty and starting to leak oil
The rear backup camera either shows a blue screen when the vehicle is put into reverse, or a black screen with the lines for backup guidance. Other times the camera works as intended.
Truck takes itself out of gear and goes into Neutral stalling the engine while driving you have to place it in park and restart. Normally happened at slower speeds, turning in an intersection/ slowing to enter a parking lot, accelerating onto ramp. Took it in and couldn't find an issue.said could be a door sensor maybe?
Rear window sliding window frame cracked in two places. Known issue that Ram is fixing for some owners with same model and year vehicle but will not apply extended warranty to my vehicle.
My 2019 Ram 1500 Classic came with the optional 20" tires and rims. Had a flat and when the spare was taken down it was only a 18" not a 20". This spare should match the other wheels and tires to drive safely. Yes Rams can come with 17" or 18" but when you upgrade with the option should the spare be as well. This is a recall on other Rams but not mine, please look into this.
Dashboard leather has completely delaminated. High bubbling and excess material causing poor viability and obstruction. Ram will not repair.

UNKNOWN. Has an investigation been opened into the delamination of the Leather dashbords, in the RAM LIMITED 1500. Concerned how the disfigured dash surface will impede the function of passenger Air Bag deployment. A review of U Tube. Will have pictures / videos.
I closed my tailgate and it sounded like it latched, but I got a warning as soon as I pulled out on the road that my tailgate was open. I pulled over but it still looked closed and didn’t fall when I pulled on it. I went to open the tailgate to try to shut it again but it wouldn’t open. I unlocked the car a few times and it still wouldn’t open. I had to push really hard and then pull the latch and it finally clicked and opened. Sometimes intermittently on the highway it will tell me my tailgate is not closed. This is a safety issue because if the tailgate opens while I’m driving down the highway and my bed load slides out it could harm someone else behind me.
Only 65000 miles I wash everytime all the truck undercarriage is rust easy especially the oil pan in the engine. And I check too many people make complaints about the oil pan. Now my oil pan is crack and rust and it's $3000 to fix its insane. 4 years and gone. Car value over $45000.

On 02/11/2024 my boyfriend and I were involved in a rear-end collision. The driver that hit us was going 60 to 70 mph at the time of impact while we were sitting at a traffic light. The airbags did not deploy and now my boyfriend and I have sustained severe injuries due to the accident.
Oil Pan is Rusting and thin. Oil Pan gasket leaking warranty will not cover parts/labor. Oil pan holds vital lubrication for engine operation. Read tailgate handle does not operate properly. Must push closed to keep rear tailgate door from opening when vehicle is in motion
I have a 2019 Dodge Ram Rebel I have owned since new. Two months after I got it it had the tick. I have noticed every dodge ram on the road has this tick I mean every ram. I have always bought dodge since I have purchased vehicles. Is the anything that you can do for me on this issue there is fumes coming in the cab of the truck and it’s unsafe since there is a problem with all vehicles in the brand. I’m hoping so because this is starting to turn a lot of heads and people do get an upset stomach because of the noises and this is not what a 80,000 dollar vehicle should have happen.
A properly secured/closed tailgate popped open causing damage to the tailgate and trailer.
The 8.4in screen made by Stellantis delaminating is a common issue for them and they refuse to put a recall out for it. Some screens including mine are delaminating to where it’s difficult to see the backup camera in the day time, making it a safety issue. It also makes the screen harder to read, causing more attention to be focused on the screen rather than the road.
The persistent water leakage issue in my vehicle, which has been ongoing for an extended period. Water pooling under the left rear seat, even seeping beneath the mat. This not only poses a serious inconvenience but also raises concerns about potential damage to the vehicle's interior and electronic components. Please see attached document from the dealership.
The rear window has cracks in the plastic surround and is leaking over the sliding glass window. Water is coming into the cab
The backup camera started getting very foggy, overly sensitive to lights at night making it very blurry. I bought an aftermarket camera as a direct OEM replacement which works fine, however the onboard Uconnect 12" display will not allow me to turn back on the backup guidance lines over the video for the aftermarket camera on the display. I put the original camera back on, sometimes it has a horrible picture, sometimes just a fog and rarely good quality but either way the guidance lines do show clearly even when the camera's image is horrible. I put the aftermarket camera back on and it would not display or allow me to turn on the reverse backup guidance lines. Did they build in a feature that doesn't allow aftermarket part to be used in the software? From my understanding that would be illegal.
I am not sure if this issue is electrical or suspension or even computer related. My car battery was dead after just driving it a few hours ago. I came out and heard a noise coming from the truck that sounded strange coming from under the hood, like something was trying to start or like a long delayed switching sound or airpump (I'm not sure). When starting the vehicle it only clicked and the battery showed low, the air suspension, airbags, safety systems and a lot more all lit up on my dashboard. I do have a video but on my cell phone not the computer from which I am writing this and it is too large of a file size for here. I placed the batter on a charger and it took a very long time to get enough of a charge but still wouldn't start. I had to get mad and keep pressing the start button and letting go on and off and on and off before it eventually started. I have not experienced this issue since but it was concerning to me that all the suspension, leveling, safety, headlight directional systems, etc. had errors flashing or cycling on the dash to be serviced and it killed my battery by having components activating audibly so and just disappear.
Happened twice within the last three months. The first time I was driving at a speed between 45-50 mph and vehicle shutoff with instruments reading vehicle must be placed in park depress brake and start engine. After coasting to a safe area to stop the vehicle seemed to have shifted into park just before a full stop and abruptly and aggressively stopped. Depressed brake and restarted then vehicle displayed same message again and shutoff, this time it would not restart. Inspected under hood for an obvious problem, did not find anything. After about 20 minutes vehicle started and was able to continue on with no problems until weeks later when vehicle again shutoff while driving. This time while driving around 70 mph on highway. Was able to coast to stop in emergency lane. This time the instrument panel displayed a TPWS error with no input to all tires. Tried to restart after coming to abrupt stop. Push to start had no power nor did anything inside the vehicle. After about 45 minute the depress brake and push to start symbol illuminated and vehicle started. Was able to make it home about 4 miles away the vehicle shutoff pulling into driveway. Loosing power at 70 mph is not a good feeling.
Large amounts of water enters the cab from a defective rear backlite assembly. Damage sustained to the rear seat fabric, cushion and carpeting. Concern for mold and mildew (health hazard). There is a pending class action lawsuit for the leaking issue. Dodge has extended the warranty on the Center High Mounted Stop Lamp (3rd brake light). The rear backlite assembly has been replaced by the local Dodge dealer at the cost of $1485.40. Dodge is well aware of water entering the cab not only from the 3rd brake light but also the rear backlite assembly and the roof mounted antennae.
Since purchase of the vehicle in 2019, the truck has experienced this issue. When slowing down to a stop, the vehicle shifts goes out of gear (similar to neutral) and displays an error requiring the driver to shift into drive and then back into gear. It does this all the time, sometimes placing me in compromised situations in an intersection.
The dashboard instrument cluster of my 2019 RAM 1500 Gen 5, Longhorn model, is completely inoperable (went blank). This poses a safety issue to the driver as it provides important safety readings like velocity, fuel levels, RPMs, engine temperature, and distance traveled, etc. Roadways have a designated maximum speed. Meeting the speed limit is difficult if you can't read your speedometer. You can receive a citation for driving too fast, or worst, you risk getting into an accident. Not being able to read your engine temperature is vital to the life of your engine, it may pose a dangerous situation, as your engine can overheat. When I contacted the dealer, they advised that it is a common issue and that the Manufacturer is aware. The dealer advised that they couldn't duplicate the problem, when I took my truck to the dealer, as my cluster was working at the time. The instrument cluster turns on and off intermittently. The map light of the truck also stopped working. I disconnected the overhead light assembly, disconnected and connected the modules and they seem to work for now.
The 8.4 infotainment screen became stuck either the rear view camera on not allowing you to change it or exit out. This stayed on during the drive and even after attempting to power cycle the screen. No buttons for climate or radio functioned and there was no way to turn the screen off or exit the rear view camera mode cause a distraction for the driver and could possibly lead a driver to believe the vehicle was still in reverse.
While at a stop waiting to turn truck would not move. Saw a message on dashboard “ shift into park and select desired gear. This has happened more than once. Later that day I lost all power. Engine shutdown, no power steering or brakes. Message stated “ Place into park and restart engine “. Truck is hard to start.No accident either time. Dealer is an hour away. Afraid to drive it to have it checked. Ram blogs show I’m not the only one with this happening. Will someone get hurt? If I lived in a more populated area I would say yes. Someone will. A family with children would be hard to deal with.
While parking the tailgate opens, when I closed it and tried to open it the electronic tailgate handle would not unlock to open 10/25/2023. When parked overnight tailgate opens 10/25/2023. While driving on Interstate the tailgate opens and I almost caused an multiple car accident, I parked at idle closed tailgate tried to reopen and it would not unlock, I drove off and it dropped again 10/26/2023. At Chapman Chrysler Dodge Jeep 89014, I parked in the service drive informing the service advisor something is wrong with my tailgate, and it dropped in-front of the advisor, he closed it and tried to open it and it wouldn’t open, while he was making my appointment it dropped again 10/27/2023. I have contacted the FCA Recall Spoke to Delroy he said my vehicle wasn’t part of the recall, and with 23,534.5 miles it was out of base warranty, he said I have power train coverage, gave me a Case # [XXX] he told me to cancel my 7:00am appointment 10/28/2023 and wait for a correlating response so I didn’t have to pay. Driver side door lock no longer auto locks or opens.
The exhaust manifold bolts have broken allowing the exhaust to escape into the engine compartment which allows these fumes to be pulled into the fresh air inlet into the cab of the truck. it has been inspected by Cole Chrysler in Marshall Michigan. their reply was it is happening on many of their trucks and cars with the Hemi engine and the cost to repair it is $1200.00 and is not covered under any warranty or recall, and said it is not a safety issue. I have made calls to Chrysler and have had zero cooperation in trying to resolve this issue. I am [XXX] and never in all my years of owning cars have ever seen an exhaust manifold bolt break under normal driving conditions. These are breaking one by one, there are 8 broken bolts now, the truck is louder and more fumes are escaping now. this is dangerous to the health to anyone who is having the same issue and can't afford to throw away $1200 on $20 worth of bad bolts. Trucks guage cluster LCD display information center located behind the steering wheel, does not illuminate, and or work at all anymore. I cannot see warnings, issues with the truck, cautions, information, mileage, use the safety systems included with the truck, use automatic park assist, and know if the air bag system is functioning correctly. Anything that the screen is required for cannot be used, safety systems included. I cannot monitor vehicle temperatures, vehicle hours, or trip miles.. The analog guages work, but that is all. This is a huge safety issue and this should not be an issue. Current mileage is 57,589. The vehicle has been inspected by a certified ram dealer and they have told me I must replace the cluster since i am out of warrenty. The issue the ram dealer recognized as 'cluster internally failed' and must be completely replaced since the cluster is one unit, and the electronics are internal. There has been an individual recall issued for ONLY ONE 5th Generation 2019 Ram Limitied in regaurds to the cluster failure back in 2019. Ram cares says I am not covered. Why mine is not covered does not make sense to me. This is absolutely a safety concern, this is absolutely a danger not having access to any safety systems or information about the vehicle/truck, tire pressure, engine and trans temp, and everything mentioned above.
Rear window leak
The rear window frame has cracked and is allowing water to enter the vehicle and get the carpets wet which is causing mold and unpleasant environment inside the vehicle.
Hi The Stop/Start system is not working correctly, the engine stated to misfire randomly and now 70,00 + miles the stop and start system is making the truck unsafe to drive. I have taken it to my local ram / jeep dealer and the problem is not fixed.
Defective shifter. Vehicle is automatically shifting in Park while in drive causing vehicle to stop moving while driving, in traffic or at a stop light. Vehicle accelerated and cut off in the middle of an intersection and almost got rear ended because vehicle would not move. When shifting to drive again it immediately switched to park stranded me in the middle of on coming traffic. This is horrific especially if it would happen on an interstate. This happened also at a gas station putting the truck in reverse backed a little bit than automatically shifted to park stranding me in the middle of the parking lot. I had to turn off the truck and start it to shift back in gear. The truck shifted by it self multiple times. This safety issue could be detrimental. I was scared to continue driving my truck. Turning in front of someone had me nervous because when I tried to accelerate the truck shifted in to park and stopped moving multiple times. Reaching the internet to find out why. I found multiple people had the same issues. This need to be fixed before it cost the life of someone
The drivers seat back has broken twice in the same exact way leftside seat back support breaks dealer has been contacted. Vehicle has not been in an accident or impact.
The sun visor/shade attachment to the roof is broken on both passenger and driver side. This is a known issue, which when the sun visor is down to block the sun, the visor will become dislodged from the ceiling causing the visor to drop suddenly into your line driving vison. This issue has been reported to RAM and is on all RAM forums. The forums indicate that RAM fixed this issue in future models but has not addressed this issue with all vehicles. This is a significant safety issue that RAM has failed to address.
While driving at highway speeds on I-80 we first received a warning that the TPS system had failed and needed to be checked. I began looking for the next exit which was luckily not far away. Just as I excited the highway every other system started coming in the dash as failing and the windshield wipers began operating on their own. We lost power steering and brakes. This was especially difficult to a paid a crash because we were also towing a 4,000 lb camper at the time. We barley a wooded a crash and we were able to ring the vehicle to a safe spot before it finally shut down completely. The entire electrical system died while driving and all systems related to it malfunctioned simultaneously. The vehicle did not start back up and a tow truck was needed. The contact stated the Radio Frequency Hub needed to be replaced.
This is an emissions issue. The exhaust manifold bolts have failed and are failing. This ultimately releases nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, benzene and formaldehyde fumes into the cabin area. Broken exhaust manifold bolts directly causes failed manifold gasket(s). Failed exhaust manifold gaskets causes emissions (nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, benzene and formaldehyde fumes) to be released and to build up in the engine compartment and into the cabin rather then safely through the exhaust system and catalytic converter and out the rear end of the vehicle. This problem has been confirmed by the dealer (documentation forthcoming). This problem was denied warranty repair by the extended warranty purchased at the dealership and by RAM customer service by phone 7/7/23 8:41 am. There were no warning lights or messages. The problem was identified by the dealer technician when inspecting for another unrelated issue.
Merging onto highway at approximately 65 MPH, the sun was bright and I moved my driver’s side sun visor down and started to move it to block the sun from the driver window. The visor fell off and hung by only the electric wires. The visor hung blocking my forward vision as I merged at high speed I had to take my hand off the steering wheel and physically hold the visor out of my field of vision until I could safely exit the highway and park on the shoulder of I-5. I was able to push the visor support arm/rod back into the ceiling and hook the end back to the visor snap hold. The passenger side visor broke in the same fashion last summer and repeatedly falls out if the passenger attempts or use the visor. I’ve check web sites and see many others reporting the same safety issue. Very fragile plastic part.
Front part of moonroof just broke/exploded.
My vehicle stalls on me and shuts off while driving. Brought it to the dealership at Quinn motors Gloucester, VA where I get all my oil changes done. They couldn't duplicate it. But it happens a couple times a month. I'll have to pull off as it's stalled. Turn it completly off then back on. Sometimes it starts back up and sometimes I have to wait a minute or two. I have blocked traffic numerous times because of these incidents happen at idle in drive at stop lights or stop signs. I have also recently had my dash go completely blank on me. No codes pop for either one of these events. Any help or advice would be great.
I BOUGHT A 2109 RAM BIG HORN MAY 2020 NEW. SEPTEMBER 2022 WARNING SYSTEM SHOWED THE SHIFTER NEEDED SERVICE. TOOK IT IN TO SERVICE DEPARTMENT OF DEALERSHIP. IT TOOK THREE WEEKS TO GET IT BACK. THE NEXT MORNING THE TRUCK WOULD NOT START. HAD IT TOWED BACK TO DEALERSHIP. FOUR WEEKS PASSED AND WAS TOLD IT WAS READY. DROVE IT HOME AND PARKED INDRIVEWAY. THE NEXT MORNING WOULD NOT START. THEY KEPT THE TRUCK FOR TWO MONTHS AND CALLED TO PICK IT UP. THENEXT MORNINGIT WAS DEAD AGAIN. SENT IT BACK. THEY KEPT IT FOR THREE MONTHS. THEY BROUGHT IT BACK ANDSAID THEY DON'TKNOWWHAT IS WRONG WITH IT. I CHARGED THE BATTERY AND TOOK IT FOR TEST RUN AND THE DASH MESSAGE SYSTEM STARTED FLASHING MESSAGES THAT THIS WAS BROKE, THE TIRES WERE FLAT, SERVICE LIGHT FLASHED ON AND OFF, THE ENGINE SPUTTERED THEN RAN AGAIN. ALL MOST DID'T MAKE IT HOME. LAST TIME I DROVE IT. DEALERSHIP WILL NOT FIX.
My 2019 Ram truck has less than 41,900 miles on it.I drove it Thursday morning, but then was stranded.The vehicle wouldn’t unlock, lock, or start. Upon entering using the manual key, the vehicle wouldn’t recognize my key fob. My second key fob would not work either. I called a locksmith to see if he could reset the computer, but he couldn’t. So I called a tow truck. After giving them $100, the dealer couldn’t look at it for several days. Meanwhile I’m stranded without a vehicle. Luckily not in the remote wilderness. My truck sat for a week.The dealer called and said the RF Hub was bad. The RF Hub controls everything from the key fobs, ignition, alarm, brakes, door locks, all electronics, etc. $605 now paid to the dealer for them to replace this RF Hub that is mounted on the back wall of the cab under the rear window. Had this been in the middle of winter, or when I was at high altitude in the mountains last fall it could be a life or death situation.Being locked out and unable to move a vehicle, being stranded is dangerous. Particularly with health issues. What the dealer didn’t do is correct the problem.The back window frame on these Rams breaks and then leaks water into the cab.The leak shorts out the electrical equipment behind the rear seat.Thankfully it didn’t start a fire. A google search of the issue finds hundreds of complaints about the rear windows in these trucks. Imagine a young mother with little children out on the road when the vehicle leaks enough to fry the RF Hub! The Ram dealer charged me to replace the RF Hub, but didn’t bother to fix the problem with the rear window. I am taking it upon myself to attempt to stop the leak before I get stranded again because of fried electronics because of their faulty design. I have attached pictures of the problem.After paying the locksmith, tow, dealer, and pulling out the rear seats, drying all of the carpet, it is clear to see the problem with the rear window. Recall this.
This issue has not occurred to me yet, but I have seen many instances in my research of the issue of where the issue has occurred. I believe it should be looked at seriously because of the risks. The rear back window has a defect that allows a crack in the plastic frame of the window to allow water in from the outside of the truck. The water intrusion itself is not a safety issue, but the damage it can cause to the RF Module system that is mounted behind the back seat of the vehicle is a safety issue. If the leak becomes severe enough it can cause the module to short out or completely go out. This module controls the keyless start system. If the system were to short out while driving it could result in the vehicle turning off and the driver losing control of the electrical systems in the vehicle. RAM will only cover the replacement of the window under warranty, but many owner's don't even know of the issue. I didn't until I noticed the water all over my seats. RAM also only replaces the window with an exact replacement that will allow for the issue to reoccur.
Power steering cut in and out while driving and changing lanes making it difficult to steer. While attempting to force the wheel to steer properly, power steering re-engaged causing truck to jerk.
Inside the truck I have located a crack in the rear window. The crack is in both sides of the sliding rear window and now leaks. I’m sure overtime this can damage in the interior which may damage seats and or the body of the vehicle. My vehicle is out of warrants and apparently they won’t cover this. Major defect, websites easily accessible with the same issue I have encountered.
The rear glass develops a leaks after a year or two due to the glass sealant failing and water freezing in the crevices and cracking the plastic frame attached to the glass. This causes water to enter the cabin in a rain and wet the carpet. The leak if unnoticed, causes mold to develop on the carpet/headliner, which is a safety/health issue.
System - 5 months after I purchased my vehicle, my 12 inch screen went black. Safety - Because the screen is black, I cannot use the back-up camera. I cannot see behind the truck. This is a major safety issue for me. Dealer - I have taken my vehicle to Fitzgerald Auto Mall in Lexington Park, Maryland and Waldorf Ram in Waldorf, Maryland a total of 6 times. The service center at Waldorf Ram tried several solutions (hard resets, replaced screen, etc.). The problem returned within 2 days. Inspection - The vehicle has been inspected by two dealerships. Warnings - There were no warnings prior to the screen going blank. This is a serious safety issue. If I can't see what's behind me while backing up, I could potentially hit something or someone. That can result in a serious crash or injury. The same issue has been happening with Ford Explorers recently. Ford issue a recall in January 2023 due to low visibility and risk of crash.
Occasionally when I am driving whether it be slowing down at a light, stopped at a light the car will display shift car to P to drive and automatically shift itself into to P. It is very scary.I have a 2 year old daughter I am worried it will get worse and when I am driving one day it will just stop when I’m driving and someone will hit me. I have taken the truck to the dealership and they had ran updates and had said that was it when it did not in fact fix the issue at all. This is issue had started about a year ago I have less then 30000 miles on the truck. I really wish we would be heard and the problem could be fixed before someone is seriously hurt. I have read others threads and sites where it is happening to other truck owners and they take the vehicle in and the dealership tries multiple things to fix it and it has not resolved the issue.
Power folding mirrors have failed and will not stay extended at highway speeds. At speed the drivers side mirror is very loose and flops around and will fold in against the drivers side window. When this happens the driver can no longer see behind him and must pull over to manually extend the mirror into the proper position. I have researched this online and it is common problem to this year, make and model. The dealership says the mirrors have just "worn out" and want $1600 to replace them, with no guarantee the new mirrors won't eventually have the same issue. The issue there is plastic gearing in the power fold mechanism that fails. This should not happen with a 4 year old vehicle that is garaged, and never abused.
When driving at speed and speeding up the transmission can go out of gear and leave the truck unable to accelerate. This has happened on the highway multiple times. Dealership CJDR24 unable to diagnose issue. Has been there twice. First time they said it was battery next time they said it was a transmission recall code that needed to be reset. Issue still remains. It is not a persistent issue but it is dangerous and has almost caused accidents on multiple occasions. To get transmission back in gear vehicle must be put in park or turned off then back on and it can drive normally again.
This happens randomly while driving. While driving the vehicle,The Drive indicator around the shift knob will blink and The instrument panel will also display the message "Shift to P then Desired Gear". In this time, the engine remains running and the transmission enters a neutral state. When pressing the gas pedal, the engine revs and vehicle will not move. The vehicle has to be stopped, shifted into park, then back to drive. This has happened many many times since owning the vehicle. Photos attached below are while stopped. I also have video but it will not allow me to attach.
Dodge Ram Rear Backup Camera Failure. Experienced multiple instances of backup camera failure. Problem was at first intermittent, as it became more regular truck was serviced at dealership. Wiring harness to camera replaced. Roughly 1 month later, problem returned. Returned to dealership for service, camera replaced. Roughly 1 month later problem returned. Performed online search of forums / message boards and discovered this is a common issue with 4th generation Ram pickups. Recommended online fixes are disconnecting camera from wiring harness in tailgate and re-connecting, or even simply jiggling the connection. A friend who also owns a 4th generation Ram suggested slamming the tailgate to fix. This (ironically) works and is less invasive than removing the tailgate inspection cover, and far better than leaving truck with dealer for a week. Still, the problem continues, frequently during change of temperature between seasons. I have small children, and am often driving locations where small children toddle about (daycare, parks, etc). Losing the rear view camera means I have no rearward visibility to see a small child behind this tall truck. If it fails in one of these locations I return the vehicle to park, get out, and slam the tailgate. I hope others who own these trucks take the time to do the same. This is a known problem identified on youtube and many message boards / forums. After the dealer repairs, when the problem occurred again I contacted Chrysler Cares and questioned if there was a recall or technical service bulletin related to the issue. I was told 'no'. I asked if some type of internal ticket or work order for engineering to investigate could be created and was told only dealerships could initiate investigations.
I'm not sure this isint a recall I bought this truck a few months ago with no warranty or exsteded warranty it has come to my attention when I start the truck I have a ticking sound now it's a sound of exaust escaping from exaust manifolds I know this cant be good with carbon monoxide escaping into the cab I went to dealership were I bought truck to no satisfaction I was told by Chrysler they would share expense when I went to dealership I was told I needed to pay before they would tell me what was wrong bit being a retired auto mechanic I knew what I was talking about with it being a safty issue so if there is any help for the many ram owners this problem goes back to 90s and still L going on thank you

Back glass has crack in frame around sliding glass window. Water is leaking into the truck from crack and causing back seat, carpet, ceiling liner and airbags in the ceiling liner to get wet.
There frame around the rear sliding window is cracked in two places. Water appears to be getting into the vehicle through the cracks. I've brought this to the local dealer's attntion and they stated that even though it was a common issue, there is no recall yet for this. The headliner in the vehicle also shows water stains near the area where the cracks are.
Rear window seal is leaking which cracked the window frame allowing water to enter behind rear seat leaking onto the wireless control Module making it in operable. The vehicle would not start. This will become a safety issue when driving down the highway/local areas and you loose the module it shuts down the car no power at all. Power steering goes down breaks become more difficult to push. Chrysler knows about the leak but will not do anything. The suggested repair is to replace the rear window at $1600.00 and the Wireless Control Module. My vehicle had 26k miles on it and warranty ran out. I do have an extended Warranty but because the rear window was leaking the wireless control Module is not covered.
The Ram app does not delete your car if you sell it. Which allows the previous owner to control the car by the app even though they do not own it anymore. The functions they can controled are starting the car, unlocking/locking the car and track it’s location. The ability of this functionality could create dangerous situations. What if a previous owner mistakenly starts the new owners car and it is in a garage.
The issue is that as a result of faulty factory installation of the rear window and the resulting issues it caused that were beyond my control, I had to pay $2000 that the manufacturer will not cover. The truck rear window was installed improperly causing a slight leak that was not detectable unless the rear seats were removed. At the same time the third brake light gasket was also leaking, and these leaks were not detectable by any normal means. The result of the leaks was that the RF unit that allows all of the key fobs and the main start button to function was damaged thus rendering the truck unusable. Manufacturing defects like this could have caused my truck to fail while driving it and could have been a huge safety issue. Luckily that did not happen to me. The manufacturer should be held accountable for these types of production failures.
The vehicle’s rear window started leaking with normal rain. Airbags are present in the area and are prone to getting get. This can be a hazard in case of an accident.
Rear back window leaking,causing water to fill floor boards with water.Noticed over time mold in areas of the truck. Cleaned, FCA said no recall for this problem. Many 2019-2020 trucks like mine. Have this issue Rear cabin brake light leaks,cabin vent leaks and rear back window leaks. Just passing this information on.
To whom it may concern, It is of extreme concern the interior moisture issue my vehicle is experiencing. My vehicle has been to Chrysler Dodge Jeep and RAM in Valencia, California twice, for inspections, for reoccurring moisture inside the vehicle. On two separate inspections, on two separate dates, the investigation revealed no moisture issues present. Unfortunately, this week after a moderate rain storm, I discovered that all the interior electronics were dead inside the vehicle, although the exterior power was working on the exterior. Additionally, I discovered several heavy moisture areas within the interior cabin, which was described to me by service personnel, as being common. Finally, I also discovered upon closing the left rear door that there was moderate water draining out of the door, and or possible frame of the vehicle.
2019 Ram 1500 Limited with 48,000 miles the rear window started leaking badly. The rear seat back and hybrid battery pack get wet whenever it rains. On 12/23/2022 had truck inspected by Safe Lite glass shop in Wilmington NC. Confirmed the rear plastic window frame cracked causing the leak. Estimate to fix $1000.00 On 12/28.2022 went to Hendricks Ram in Wilmington NC to have truck inspected. Service advisor [XXX] confirmed the rear window plastic frame cracked and leaking. The rear window frame has cracked with under 33,000 miles on the truck. The crack occurred prior to my purchase of the vehicle. The crack has allowed water to enter the rear of the vehicle and potentially damage/interfere with various electronic systems and cause odors/mold. This water intrusions has caused some of these vehicles to no longer operate. The vehicle is available for inspection. It has not been inspected by a dealership to my knowledge (recently purchased used). This issue has not activated any sort of warning lights and was discovered luckily by accident, so I have been able to take some action to attempt to mitigate this issue. These mitigation steps are in no way permanent solutions for this issue.
The plastic cover for the fuel line and power cables on the underbelly of the vehicle came loose and drags down the road, exposing the fuel lines in the power connections. The clips that hold the cover in place to prevent the lines from getting struck by road debris failed. Could cause failure to fuel system and other components.
I have a 2019 Ram four-door with approx. 44k miles. I bought it brand new and have never been in an accident. I was coming to a stop light that turned green as I approached so I was slowing down, but when I accelerated, the truck dings at me, gives me the error code "Shift to P then Desired Gear" and shifts itself into neutral. I had to come to a stop, then put it back into Drive and continue driving.
The dashboard cluster frequently goes blank. This is where I can see the speed I’m driving, if my oil needs to be changed, my backup camera and warning messages etc. this is a complete safety hazard. I went to get my inspection and emissions done and they couldn’t complete it because they couldn’t gather the information needed because the dash was blank. I also see that this an ongoing problem with rams and I’m not the only one, there have been 100s of people stating the same thing. I feel like this is something that needs to be rectified. My car is only 2 years old it shouldn’t be having these major issues already.

While driving the truck, driving 80mph on highway the truck disengaged from Drive to neutral, with a notice on the dash to pullover and shift to park to drive. When truck disengaged from Drive while in motion I lost all acceleration power, and had to coast over to side of road to a stop. The truck disengaged from Drive on 3 other occasions. I almost died when the truck disengaged from drive while makeing a turn through an intersection and almost getting hit my a tractor trailer. I contacted Dodge FCA, filed complaint, then i took the truck to the dealer and after having my truck for 22 days, they said I needed a new transmission on my 2019 ram 1500. The truck drove fine for 2 weeks then it disengaged from Drive again while driving, 2 times this morning. I contacted dodge fca and they said they couldn't do anything till the dealer looks at it. This is a major safety issue. I refuse to let my wife and kids ride in this truck because I am not going to have my wife and kids die in this truck because of these major safety issues. This is a known issue on all dodge ram online forums and dodge has not addressed this issue or acknowledged it. There is something wrong with the electrician system. I have had 2 batteries replaced, radio replaced, manifold, transmission, full tail light housing, active noise cancelation system fixed. There has been so many issues from day one when I bought the truck, but this MAJOR issue with the truck disengaging from drive to neutral while in motion is the most serious. Seems like dodge doesn't have an issue till someone dies in an accident from this issue, because this issue can not be replicated and doesn't not show up at a fault on the dealer test systems, due it everything in vehicles being computerized and digital. Something needs to be done about this

Rear window frame has cracked. Allows water into the cabin. Creates awful smell and wet seats. Water drips onto seat belt which will most likely cost it to not work properly over time.
Sunroof EXPLODED/SHATTERED while I was driving. Caused me to run off the roadway to the right shoulder and almost collided into a Electric Pole.
The entertainment system in the truck suddenly started playing at maximum volume and the volume control could not reduce the extremely loud sound (using either the steering wheel mounted controls, or on dash controls). This caused a temporary major distraction as I quickly tried to reduce the painfully loud sound while on the Interstate highway. Using the settings section in the system menus could not solve the problem (but the mute button worked). I had to find a highway rest area and the only solution to the either off or maximum volume of the system was to disconnect the negative wire on the truck battery to get the system to hard reboot. The system reset after disconnecting the battery and the problem did not re-occur. Looking online I see that some other drivers have encountered the same issue.
I was driving in my neighborhood and slowed down to take a curve. Going no more than 20mph the truck stalls and starts beeping. The 'drive' light indicator started flashing and the dash had a message to shift into 'P'. It then shifted itself into neutral. I had to stop immediately and put it in park and turned it off. When I turned it back on it was fine. Dealership could not duplicate.
Hello.. I purchased a 2019 Ram 1500 limited with the 5.7 etorque VIN# [XXX] with approximately 32000 miles on it in December of 2021 from Barton Cadillac in Newburgh N.Y.. I've put about 2000 miles more on it. About 2 weeks ago upon startup my low voltage light lit up. As the engine ran for a few seconds, the voltage continued to drop even more into the very low 11's with the red warning light illuminated....After about a minute and a half, abruptly, the voltage soared up to normal range ..14 - 14.2 volts..This happened multiple times..Finally I brought it in to Hudson Valley Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership in Newburgh NY...I was told I probably needed a new battery..So they replaced my battery but the problem was still there...So I went back and they searched for codes with their scan tool and found many pertaining to the etorque battery and components behind the rear seat...They told me water had leaked in through cracks on the plastic frame of the rear window onto the etorque battery pack and other electronic components and ruined them..They said It wasn't covered under the etorque 8 year or 80000 mile warranty because there was flooding in that area of the truck...Flooding..That truck had a cracked rear window trim which is a well known manufacturers defect..Many Ram owners have had the same issue..I have read on some forums that some dealerships did in fact cover costs for this issue even though it was not covered by the warranty...As I'm sure you know, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has had a bulletin on this..Case # [XXX] REV A released on 1/30/21..Technically my warranty ran out on November of 2021.. .So I purchased a battery which was not the problem..It cost me $350 with troubleshooting fee..Now they're saying I have to pay for a new etorque battery pack, a replacement window which is a widely known manufacturers defect and I'd also have to pay for the labor costs..So a defective window leaked water on the etorque battery they are claimi INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT
A recall will only be issued for safety concerns. A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) will be issued for known problems which are not a safety concern. A TSB isn't required to be repaired, so many times they aren't checked or fixed unless the consumer reports the problem. Likewise, if not addressed during the warranty period, they are typically* up to you to fix and/or pay for. (* more on this below) This is unlike a recall which will have safety implications and thus it must be repaired regardless of model year or mileage. This is why they send things out in the mail urging you to have the vehicle inspected/repaired. This covers them against legal claims if the affected part fails and causes injury/death. Don't confuse a "recalled" item with a known defect. They are two very different things. FCA well knows it's a common problem and they've got a TSB on it However, a leaking window/roof does not pose a safety concern so there isn't a recall for it. That doesn't mean it's not a known defect. With this being a known issue it makes it extremely difficult for FCA to claim i have a flooding problem that i caused. They know there's a potential for the leak resulting from a manufacturer defect and they're actively repairing that very issue on my truck. This defect is known to cause the rear seat area to accumulate water/moisture. This also If this leak is a known issue, then shouldn't the etorque system be shielded from the potential risk of water exposure? That's not on me I didn't alter the vehicle, drive through deep water, or somehow create damage to the covered part. It's a manufacturer defect plain and simple.It happens to be where the etorque battery is located. Water is obviously bad for electronics. This vehicle has developed an exhaust manifold leak/problem. When I have taken it to the dealer, they inform me that although there is no recall pending, it is so prevalent that Ram has developed a repair kit for what is a known widespread problem. I believe that there is a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning to all users of vehicles that have developed this problem.
After purchasing my 2019 Dodge 1500 I started hearing a ticking sound from underneath at about 64,880 miles. I have ignored the issue due to the dodge booklet says that the hemi engine makes consurning sounds but this is common with the HEMI 5.7. I drove my friend to pick up her daughter and her ex told me that I had a exhaust manifold issue with the bolts and they are sheered off. Little did I know, until after research, that this has been going on for over a decade and the consumers are getting screwed and the dealerships are selling the dodge chrysler 5.7 hemi knowing there have been years of issues. I can not afford to fix my truck and I use it for making my living. I think its time for a class lawsuit.

Vehicle stalled and forced the transmission into Park while driving. Vehicle came to an instant halt. If this would’ve happened on a highway speeds this could have posed a serious safety risk. Vehicle very often stalls right after starting and the problem has been getting increasingly worse and more often. The vehicle has not been inspected by anybody and there are no warning lights.
Rear window shattered after using defrost
I was driving my truck home and while approaching a stop sign I proceed to apply the brakes, my vehicle drop out of drive, the D on my shift knob began flashing and a message was displayed on the panel that stated " select the P (park) and then desired gear". I looked online to see if I was the only person having this issue and it turns out that this issue is all over the forums. I considered this to be potentially dangerous issue since this could also happen in traffic. I contacted the dealership and they stated that there was no recall notice for such an issue. They stated that they were backed up with service issues and could not look at my truck for weeks. I think RAM (FCA) should look into this issue asap.
The direction signals will only work when taking a right turn. The signal stalk will not return to the neutral position and the signal will not shut off after making a right turn. In order to shut off the right signal, I must pull the signal stalk to the left turn position. However, the left turn signal will not operate. Further when making a right turn the signal will begin operating even though I have not engaged the turn signal. The truck is only 38 months old, with only 18,600 miles on it. The turn signal is a lifetime part and should last decades and hundreds of thousands of miles. It is dangerous to operate the vehicle in traffic especially at night as I cannot signal a left turn. I took it to the dealer, but the service agent wanted me to pay $145 just to diagnose the problem and then parts and labor. The vehicle is just beyond the 36-month warranty, but at only 18,600 miles, the dealer should repair this as it is a safety issue.
When I come to a sudden or slow stop either coming to a stop sign or going around a corner or traffic jam on the highway, my truck will sometimes surge and accelerate suddnly before coming to a complete stop. When that doesnt happen the truck will just drop into nuetral and the cluster will display " please shift to park then select desired gear". Its not just annoying but a safety issue since ive almost been rear ended twice and almost t-boned while my wife and 8 year old daughter were in the car with me. I cant moved till i stop the vehicle to put it in park and then back in drive everytime it does it. Its been happening ever since 25k miles and im at 52k miles. Ive take. It to the dealer twice and they daid they couldnt replicate the problem so they couldnt do anything. Then no dealer near me does courtesy vehicles except one 50 minute away from me but they only have two courtesy trucks and they are always out and have no idea when they will get them back and i work out of my truck so i need a truck so i can never schedule an appointment to take my truck in for anything including this issue. I just want my brand new truck to work that im paying $600 month for. I dont wanna trade it in and get stuck on a new loan and more money out of my pocket. This is the most aggravating experiance of my life and no way to reconcile the issue in site. Please help.
The rear window frame cracked. Water leaks into the interior. The window could fall out while traveling and create a road hazard or strike a vehicle behind me. It is a known issue as Ram has updated the part to correct the problem, but refuses to replace due to vehicle being 2 mos out of warranty and only 15k miles.
1. Rear glass seal failed as a result of manufacturer defect allowing water to leak into back of passenger compartment, just below the airbags in the rear/roof of the cab. 2. Concern is that increased moisture inside the passenger compartment may impact the functionality of air bag or other electronic systems. 3 & 4. Rear glass was inspected by the manufacturer and replacement was recommended. Defect with rear glass seal/cracked window frames is documented in MOPAR Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 23-016-21. This is a known issue to the manufacturer. 5. No warnings other than moisture build-up on the windows inside the passenger compartment and a saturated back seat and carpeting after wet weather.
I have had radio issues since Mid 2020 on my 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn. I have gone to the dealer and they have updated the software. It was good for a short, SHORT, time and then the issue continued. At the end of November of 2020, my battery went bad for a second time. I took it in to the dealer because the radio was not working again and this time they ordered a new radio. The maps system would show my 250 miles to the East Southeast. I live in Wichita, KS and it would have me in a field outside of Tulsa, OK. The radio would display also the same message that “dive not supported”. I finally got a replacement radio and the maps worked but the display immediately went back to “device not supported.” I went back into the dealership and they contacted Mopar once again and the service person told me that an update was coming in the spring of 2021. I have contacted the dealership and “US Customer Care | [email protected]" by the installed help system multiple times and I have received one replay but was told at each phone contact that someone would be contacting me to followup. No one has ever returned a call for a follow-up. I would like my radio back and to be able to use it like it was purchased to function. It is a distraction to use since it also controls the air conditioning and the heat functions as well as hands-free for my phone. Please look into this matter and PLEASE keep me updated on it. It is a hazard and needs to be repaired properly

5.7 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel with MDS engine stop with low MPH and turning onto oncoming traffic. I was not accelerating, nor applying the brake. Just slowly rolling into a left turn. It has happened about 4 times and usually during a U-turn. Only two options to get it out of condition during oncoming traffic!!! 1) Engine dies, apply the brake, shift to park, release the parking brake, shift to drive 2) While still rolling in turn, engage/turn the shifter to neutral and lightly touch the brake pedal, the engine will start, then shift into drive
Instrument cluster panel has been intermittent for some time and eventually is now blank. It is a safety hazard since you cannot get any information about tire pressure, oil pressure, and other information.
The instrument cluster in the vehicle providing all information to the driver does not work properly. When the temperature is hot outside or the vehicle is in direct sunlight for extended period of time it will not come on. This I lose all safety alerts, as well as odometer readings and other standard readings.
Rear tailgate opens randomly while driving. Tailgate has power locks. Vehicle has short bed. Luckily my cargo has not fallen out but this could be a safety issue for people behind me or cause damage if I’m hauling a trailer.
This truck makes a grinding or rubbing sensation when turning and when turning and breaking. The sensation comes from the steering column and vibrates through the steering wheel. It is audible as well. Obviously, this is a concern not only for me any my occupants, but for others on the road way as well as I do not know what is causing this rubbing or grinding. This vehicle has been checked out by my dealer and they do not know what is wrong with it, although they were able to experience the problem for themselves. They also informed me that this is a known issue and that Chrysler is aware of the problem as there are many other trucks like mine with this defect. This issue started very sporadically and has continually gotten worse.
The vehicle comes with a safety feature that automatically locks the doors when you reach a set speed, I believe it is 15mph. On several occasions, I, as well as two others that I am sure of, have had their arm on the door when the window was open and when the auto door locks engaged, it pinched us, and on three separate occasions, left bruises. I contacted Ram and their independent reviewers said there was no manufacturing defect. I agreed with that but told them that it's a poor design, and at least change the auto door lock feature to engage when the vehicle shifts into gear. Still not the best option but probably the easiest to just change the software. I currently have the auto lock feature disabled, but if this were to happen to somebody while driving, it could distract them long enough to hit something.
While driving all dash warning lights will come on, windshield wipers come on, power steering stops working, brakes extremely hard to stop vehicle. Warnings states do not turn off vehicle as it may not start again or go into gear. This has happened on two occasions. Have taken truck to dealer on both instances and am advised there are no issues. Last time this happened I took video of everything that was happening and provided to dealer.

I AM WANTING TO FILE A CLAIM ON A 2019 RAM 1500 FOR A DEFECTIVE REAR WINDOW. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE THAT FCA HAS REFUSED TO ACKNOWLEDGE OR RESOLVE. THE REAR WINDOW FRAME IS WEAK AND CRACKS AROUND THE REAR SLIDING GLASS. WITH THESE CRACKS, THERE IS POTENTIAL FOR WATER TO LEAK INTO THE CAB OF THE VEHICLE. THERE ARE ALSO ISSUES WITH CRACKS AND LEAKING AROUND OTHER AREAS OF THE REAR WINDOW FRAME. THIS MAY BE DUE TO A FAULTY SEAL WHEN MANUFACTURED. MY FEAR IS THAT THIS WILL CAUSE MOLD TO DEVELOP BEHIND AS WELL AS ON MY REAR SEATS CAUSING POTENTIAL HARM TO NOT ONLY MY VEHICLE, BUT MYSELF AND FAMILY. I ALSO DO NOT WANT POTENTIAL DAMAGE TO IMPORTANT ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS THAT ARE LOCATED BEHIND AND UNDER THE REAR SEAT. MY TRUCK IS OUT OF WARRANTY, AND I UNDERSTAND THAT THERE ISN'T MUCH FCA WILL DO, I JUST HOPE THAT PRESSURE IS PUT ON THEM TO IMPROVE AND DEVELOP A BETTER DESIGN TO PREVENT THIS ISSUE. THEY HAVE ALSO KNOWLEDGE OF THIS AND HAVE SENT OUT A LETTER TO THEIR SERVICE TEAMS (SEE PICTURE). THE WATER CAN COME IN WHEN LEFT OUTSIDE DURING A RAIN STORM OR SIMPLY GOING THRU THE CAR WASH. ANY WATER THAT HITS THE ROOF OF THE TRUCK AND GOES TO THE BACK WILL EVENTUALLY MAKE IT THROUGH THE REAR WINDOW CRACK AND INSIDE THE TRUCK.

AS I PUT IT IN DRIVE AND BEGIN TO TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE, THE TRUCK WOULD AUTO-SHIFT INTO PARK AND CUT THE ENGINE OFF. THIS CONTINUED TO HAPPEN OVER AND OVER AGAIN AS I KEPT TRYING TO PUT THE TRUCK IN DRIVE AND GO INTO MOTION. IT EVEN DID IT WHILE TRYING TO PUT IT IN REVERSE. I LMADE SURE ALL DOORS WERE SHUT, SEAT BELT ON, NO E-BRAKE AND NOTHING WAS LIT UP ON DASH. THE TRUCK SIMPLY WOULD NOT ENGAGE INTO DRIVE AND IT WAS NOT USER ERROR. I HAD RAM ROAD SIDE ASSISTANCE TOW THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL CERTIFIED DEALER WITH RAM TECHNICIANS. THIS WAS ON 10/16/20 AND THE TRUCK WAS IN THE CARE OF THE RAM DEALER UNTIL 10/19/20. THEY INFORMED ME THAT THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE ISSUE I EXPERIENCED. I THEN TOOK BACK POSSESSION OF THE TRUCK. ON 11/12/2020 I DROVE ABOUT A MILE FROM MY RESIDENCE PUT THE TRUCK IN PARK WHILE RUNNING INTO A STORE. I DROVE THE TRUCK ABOUT 900 FEET AND THE TRUCK AUTO SHIFTED TO PARK WHILE I WAS AT SPEEDS OF 30MPH. THE ENIGINE CUT OFF AND THE TRUCK HAD TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO TURN IT BACK ON AS IF I WOULD IF THE TRUCK WAS STOPPED. I PULLED OVER AND BEGAN DRIVING AGAIN FOR SEVERAL HUNDRED FEET. AGAIN THE TRUCK SHIFTED TO PARK ON ITS OWN WHILE DRIVING SPEEDS OF 30MPH. THIS HAPPENED TWO MORE TIMES BEFORE BEING ABLE TO RETURN TO MY RESIDENCE AND CALL FOR A TOW. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO THE SAME DEALER AND IN THEIR NOTES. THE TOW DRIVER EXPERIENCED THE TRUCK TURNING OFF ON HIM WHILE TRYING TO BACK IT OFF THE TRUCK. THE DEALER HAD THE TRUCK FOR SEVERAL DAYS BUT TOLD ME THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE THE ISSUE WHICH HAS NOW BEEN EXPERIENCED BY ME AND THE TOW DRIVER. THAT WAS ON MAY 31, 2020, INSPECTIONS WERE PERFORMED ON THE VEHICLE, WITH RAM BEING ONE OF THE PARTIES INVOLVED IN THE INSPECTION PROCESS. UNFORTUNATELY, THE INSPECTORS WERE UNABLE TO DEFINITIVELY SAY WHAT HAPPENED, ALTHOUGH THEY THEORIZED THAT THE REAR, DRIVERS SIDE CALIPER MAY HAVE SEIZED UP, RESULTING IN THE FIRE. EITHER WAY, NOTHING WE COULD HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY. WHILE I AM RELIEVED THAT WE WERE ABLE TO ESCAPE HARM, IT'S UPSETTING THAT ALL OF OUR KEEPSAKES, PERSONAL EFFECTS AND SOME VALUABLES WERE DESTROYED. I LET IT SET A FEW MINUTES TRIED STARTING IT AGAIN IT DID THE SAME THING FULL THROTTLE. I TURNED IT OFF IMMEDIATELY. CALLED SHIVELY MOTORS IN CHAMBERSBURG, PA FOR HELP AND ASSISTANCE. THEY GAVE ME A NUMBER FOR A TOW COMPANY THEY TOWED MY 2019 RAM 1500 4WD TRUCK TO THAT DEALERSHIP. IT IS JANUARY 28, 2020. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY INSIDE A CAR WASH BAY. I HAD NOT HAD ANY ISSUES LIKE THIS BEFORE, FIRST TIME. IT SCARED ME.

I BOUGHT A 2019 DODGE RAM LARAMIE FROM CITY DODGE IN NJ. EVERY TIME I PUT THE TRUCK IN REVERSE, THE TRUCK GRINDS TO A HALT. IN STREETS, DRIVEWAY AND PARKING LOTS. I RETURNED IT TO DEALER FOR INSPECTION ON 11.12.19. THEY HAD THE VEHICLE FOR A FEW DAYS. WHEN IT WAS RETURNED TO ME. THE SERVICE DEPT. SAID THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG, DIAGNOSTICS WAS GOOD. THEIR SERVICE MANAGER EXPERIENCED THE PROBLEM YET I WAS TOLD ITS OK. LATER THAT SAY AFTER GETTING IT BACK 11/18/19. MY WIFE DROVE THE VEHICLE AND IT REPEATED A DIFFERENT DEFECT (THE TRUCK SHUT DOWN) WHILE BACKING UP TO DRIVEWAY PLUS 2 TIMES AFTER THAT. I THEN RETURNED IT BACK TO DODGE 11/21/19 AND EXPLAINED WHAT HAPPENED. THEY THEN HAD THE VEHICLE FOR A WEEK. THE SERVICE TECH THEN COULDN'T EXPLAIN WHAT'S WRONG THEN ASKED ME TO "MAYBE TURN OFF THE SAFETY SENSORS" . I THEN GOT IT BACK ON 12/2/19. THEY SAID THEY REPLACED THE PARK ASSIST MODULE. NOT SURE IF THEY TESTED THE VEHICLE AFTER. LATER THAT EVENING WHILE BACKING UP IT HAPPENED AGAIN. THE THIRD TIME. I WENT BACK TO TELL THEM IT HAPPENED AGAIN. THE SERVICE MANAGER TOLD ME HE S NOT SURE AND "THEIR CHASING GHOSTS". I SAID THEN WHY DID YOU REPLACE A SAFETY FEATURE IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT'S WRONG. THE OTHER SERVICE GUY SAID A SIMILAR INCIDENT HAPPENED TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER. AT THIS POINT I DON'T WANT THIS VEHICLE. I FEEL UNSAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE. TOLD HIM THIS IS NOT ME AND THIS IS NOT MY ADDRESS AND HE SAID HE WOULD FIX IT IF I GAVE HIM THE CORRECT NAME AND ADDRESS SO I DID SIGNED MY PAPERWORK AND TOOK OFF. 3 WEEKS LATER I GET A CALL FROM MY FATHER THAT MY PLATES AND REG CAME TO HIS HOUSE AND THE TRUCK IS REGISTERED IN HIS NAME AND HIS ADDRESS IS ON THE PAPERWORK. SO GO TO THE DEALERSHIP AND LET THEM NO WHAT THE ISSUE IS AND NO ONE HAS HELPED ME I HAVE BEEN SENT TO SALES REPS I SET WITH 4 DIFFERENT FINANCE MANAGERS AND ALSO DEALT WITH THE DMV PAPERWORK LADY AT THE DEALERSHIP AND STILL NO FIX EVERY PERSON I TALK TO SENDS ME TO SOMEONE ELSE AND NO ONE SEEMS TO BE ABLE TO FIX MY ISSUE THAT THE DEALERSHIP CAUSED. THE ONLY ADVICE OFFERED WAS TO TURN UP THE TEMPERATURES ON THE AC SETTINGS AND THAT IS NOT AN OPTION IN SOUTH FLORIDA. FCA CLAIMS THAT THE VEHICLE IS "RUNNING AS EXPECTED" SIMPOLY BEASIUE ALL LIKE MODELS OF THE RAM 1500'S ALL EXHIBIT THE SAME FAULTY DESIGN AND ALL ALLOW AIR TO BLOW FROM THE DEFROST VENTS WHEN THAT MODE IS NOT SELECTED. I DON'T THINK THAT COMPARING ONE DEFECTIVE VEHICLE TO ANOTHER DEFECTIVE VEHICLE IS VERY GOOD TO MEASURE OF DETERMINING IF SOMETHING IS RUNNING AS EXPECTED. I HAVE CREATED A FORUM OF THIS SUBJECT AND HAVE A SIGNIFICANT FOLLOWING OF MANY INDIVIDUALS ACROSS THE COUNTRY EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUES AND THERE HAVE BEEN NO SOLUTIONS OFFERED BY ANY OF THEM EITHER FROM FCA OR THEIR RESPECTIVE DEALERSHIPS. WHILE MY 2019 RAM 1500 IS IN MOTION, IT HAS A PULL / DRIFT TO THE RIGHT. THE PULL / DRIFT TO THE RIGHT OCCURS WHEN LIGHTLY HOLDING THE STEERING WHEEL OR MOMENTARILY LETTING GO OF THE STEERING WHEEL. THE PULL / DRIFT TO THE RIGHT OCCURS ON ALL TYPES OF ROAD SURFACES. THE GRADE OF THE ROAD DOES IMPACT THE PULL / DRIFT AS IT IS EXAGGERATED WITH A STEEPER RIGHTWARD GRADE, HOWEVER IT WILL DRIVE STRAIGHT IF THE ROAD HAS A SLIGHT LEFTWARD GRADE. WITH A MILD RIGHTWARD GRADE, I HAVE TO PUT A LITTLE LEFTWARD PRESSURE ON THE STEERING WHEEL TO KEEP IT FROM VEERING RIGHT. THIS OCCURS AT SPEEDS OF 10 TO 80MPH ON CITY STREETS AND HIGHWAYS. IF THE DRIVER GETS DISTRACTED FOR A MOMENT, THE VEHICLE WILL UNINTENTIONALLY CHANGE LANES OR PULL THE VEHICLE OFF THE ROAD. I HAVE HAD IT SERVICED AND THE ALIGNMENT CHECKED 4 TIMES AT CORWIN CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM IN FARGO, ND AND THEY TELL ME THE ALIGNMENT IS WITHIN SPEC AND THERE IS NOTHING ELSE THEY CAN DO. TIRE PRESSURE IS EQUAL IN ALL FOUR TIRES. THE SERVICE MANAGER STATES A RIGHTWARD PULL IS CHARACTERISTIC OF NEW VEHICLES. I DO NOT BELIEVE MY VEHICLE, NOR ANY ANYONE ELSE'S, SHOULD BE PULLING TO THE RIGHT AND POTENTIALLY CAUSING A MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH. THE TRUCK SHOULD DRIVE STRAIGHT WITH THE EXCEPTION OF OUTSIDE INFLUENCES SUCH AS STEEP ROAD GRADES, HIGH CROSS WINDS, ETC.

SINCE THE FIRST WEEK WE BOUGHT THE VEHICLE WE HAVE HAD A BURNING WIRE SMELL. TOOK THE VEHICLE TO 2 DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS AND THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE ISSUE EVEN HAVING THE VEHICLE FOR 4 DAYS. SCHEDULED TO TAKE IT BACK AND IT BURNED SITTING MY DRIVEWAY PARKED AND OFF. WE ALSO HAD AN ISSUE OF THE VEHICLE CUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. WE WERE TAKING IT BACK DUE TO THE DISPLAY SCREEN HAD TURNED BLUE FOR THE RADIO AND THE BURNING WIRE SMELL. WE WERE SCARED IT WOULD CATCH FIRE.

TRAILER HAS BEEN INSPECTED BY TWO INDEPENDENT SERVICE PROVIDERS. TONGUE WEIGHT IS 800 LBS. TRUCK SEVERELY SQUATS WITH TRAILER ON IT. TECHS AT DEALERSHIP HAVE INDICATED THAT IT DOES NOT HAVE PROPER SUSPENSION OR TIRES, BUT DODGE REFUSES TO MAKE ANY REPAIR ATTEMPTS.

THE YELLOW ARROW FAILED TO APPEAR EVEN DURING SEVERAL TESTS OF THE FEATURE. THE CONSUMER RELIES HEAVILY ON THIS DEVICE AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO INFORM ME THAT IT WAS NOT WORKING. NOT WORKING (NO YELLOW LIGHT IN MIRROR MEANS IT'S SAFE TO ENTER ANOTHER LANE). NOT WORKING, NOT WORKING IS A RECIPE FOR DISASTER.

BUT IF IT COULD BE SERIOUS IN NATURE (REFERENCE RECALL 4) WHY ARE WE NOT EVEN TOLD, TO BE SAFE WITH OURSELVE, FAMILY AND GENERAL PUBLIC, THAT WE SHOULD NOT DRIVE UNIT. ISSUE WITH GROUND COULD AFFECTED STERRING CAPABILITIES AND MAY EVEN CAUSE AN ACCIDENT AND/OR CRASH. WHY NOT BE MORE PROACTIVE FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL PEOPLE AFFECTED AND GENERAL PUBLIC. FOR TWO DIFFERENT OCASSIONS WHILE DRIVING IN TRAFFIC, OUT OF THE BLUE, MY HAZARD LIGHTS TURN ON AND I CANT DISABLE THEM. I'VE TOLD THIS TO DEALER AND SEEMS ITS NOT A MAYOR ISSUE. EVEN HAVE SUGGECTED TO CONTINUE DRIVING WITHOUT CONCERN, REALLY! I BELIEVE IT'S IRRESPONSABLE TO HAVE THAT POSTURE AS A CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE RAM TRUCK, EXCELLENT UNIT. BUT THIS ATTITUDE TOWARDS SOLVING ISSUES LIKE THE ONE ALREADY DESCRIBED TELLS MUCH ABOUT THEIR CONCERN OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC. IT GETS WORST LAST NIGHT, THE HUMMING SOUND CAME EVERY 15 SECONDS, AND LAST ABOUT 5 SECOND OR LONGER. THE SOUND WAS LIKE THE TIRES GOING TO FELL OFF THE CAR/A JET LEFT OR A MOTORCYCLE PASSES BY. I WENT TO THE DEALER 5 TIMES SINCE THIS PROBLEM APPEARS. THEY SAID THEY DID EVERYTHING THEY COULD, THEY GAVE ME 2 REPORTS, AND THEY SAID THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE THIS PROBLEM, SO THEY REFUSE TO EXCHANGE OR RETURN THIS PROBLEM CAR. I FELT VERY VERY UNSAFE TO DRIVE THIS CAR. THE DEALER TOLD ME "IT IS SAFE TO DRIVE BECAUSE NOTHING SHOWS ON THE PANEL, NO WARNING LIGHT." BUT I THINK BECAUSE OF NOTHING SHOWS ON THE PANEL IS THE SCARIEST PART. IT IS A NEW CAR. I WAS DRIVING ON THE NICE AND FLAT ROAD. I DIDN'T TURN THE RADIO OR AC ON. I TURN OFF THE INSIDE AIR CIRCULATION. I CLOSED ALL THE WINDOWS WITHOUT A GAP. EVERYTHING WAS NORMAL AND IT STARTS HUMMING. I HAVE DRIVE TRUCK/PK TRUCK FOR 35 YEARS, AND IT IS THE FIRST TIME OF MY LIFE HERD A CAR MAKING SUCH A NOISE. A CAR IS HAVING A PROBLEM AND SHOWS ANY WARNING LIGHT, EVEN A PROFESSIONAL CAN'T SOLVE? WHILE PARKING MY TRUCK AT WORK IN THE PARKING LOT ABOUT 5 MIN. AFTER THE FIRST FAILURE MY POWER STEERING FAILED AGAIN BUT CAME BACK WITHIN SECONDS. ON THE WAY HOME FROM WORK TONIGHT MY POWER STEERING FAILED AND DIDN'T COME BACK FOR ABOUT 8MINS/SEVERAL MILES. MY POWER STEERING CONTINUES TO FAIL THEN COME BACK TO NORMAL THEN FAIL AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AND ON A CITY STREET. THIS OCCURS RANDOMLY WHILE TURNING AND OR GOING STRAIGHT.
