REAR SUSPENSION STARTED MAKING A SQUEAKING NOISE AROUND 30,000 MILES. UNFORTUNATELY MY WARRANTY WAS UP AND THE DEALER WANTED TO CHARGE ME. I TOLD THEM I HAVE BEEN RESEARCHING THIS PROBLEM ON THE INTERNET AND THERE HAVE BEED MANY COMPLAINTS, NOT JUST WITH THE 1500 BUT ALSO THE 2500. THE SUSPENSION NOISE IS SO BAD WHEN I AM ON BLUETOOTH PHONE THE PERSON I AM TALKING WITH CAN ALSO HEAR THIS. THIS NEEDS TO BE RECALLED FOR SAFETY REASONS AS WELL. IT KEEPS GETTING WORSE. IT SOUNDS LIKE THE REAR END IS GOING TO FALL APART. BY THE WAY IT DOESN'T MATTER THE SPEED YOU ARE DRIVING.

I HAVE A ECODIESEL PROMASTER WICH DOESN'T HAVE A PARKING ON THE TRANSMISSION AND HAVE TO USE HAND BRAKE EVERY TIME I PARK WICH GETS STUCK IN WINTER TIME AND MAKES THE ROTORS AND PADS ON REAR TO GET WORN OUT REALLY QUICKLY WICH COSTS A LOT TO REPLACE SINCE THEY'RE NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY BAD DESIGN OF TRANSMISSION WITHOUT PARKING OPTION COSTS USER LOTS OF MONEY

I NOTICED THE REAR SUSPENSION MAKING A LOUD SQUEAKING NOISE WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED. I BELIEVE IT'S THE REAR RUBBER BUSHINGS. AND ONLY HAVE 15,000 MILES ON THE VAN. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF I HAVE ANYTHING IN THE BED. VERY LOUD AND THE DEALER STATED I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR IT BECAUSE MY WARRANTY WAS UP. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL FOR SURE. I HAVE BEEN TO MANY DODGE FORUMS AND I SEE THE SAME COMPLAINT. PLEASE MAKE THIS A RECALL OR I AM FORCED TO SELL THIS POS.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM PROMASTER 2500 CARGO VAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED SEVERAL ELECTRICAL FAILURES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SWITCH THAT ENGAGED THE FUEL PUMP SYSTEM TO DEACTIVATE IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH (TO KEEP THE CARGO VAN FROM CATCHING ON FIRE) FAILED. THE SWITCH ENGAGED INDEPENDENTLY SEVERAL TIMES, CAUSING THE CARGO VAN TO DEACTIVATE WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH. THE CONTACT ALSO EXPERIENCED A FAILURE WITH THE LOW AND HIGH BEAM SWITCH. WHILE THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO SWITCH FROM LOW TO HIGH BEAM LIGHTING, THE SWITCH ENGAGED THE TURN SIGNAL. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE IN THE REAR BELIEVED THAT THE CONTACT WAS TURNING RIGHT, BUT INSTEAD THE CONTACT WAS MOVING FORWARD. THE VEHICLE IN THE REAR CRASHED INTO THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE AREA OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES REPORTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN NUMEROUS TIMES TO HUNTINGTON JEEP CHRYSLER, DODGE, RAM (120 EAST JERICHO TURNPIKE, HUNTINGTON NY 11743, PHONE (631) 673-0270) FOR THE ELECTRICAL FAILURES; HOWEVER, THE DEALER STATED THAT THE CARGO VAN WAS OPERATING NORMALLY. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE ENGINE AND THE FRONT SUSPENSION FAILED. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING AT A LOW SPEED, A KNOCKING NOISE WAS HEARD AND THE ENGINE SHUT OFF. IN ADDITION, THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE SUSPENSION EXHIBITED A LOUD KNOCKING NOISE WHILE TURNING. THE HUNTINGTON DEALER STATED THAT THE ENGINE VALVE ARMS AND THE FRONT SUSPENSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE ENGINE VALVE ARMS AND FRONT SUSPENSION WERE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 500.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM PROMASTER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, A LOUD SQUEAKY NOISE EMITTED FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WHENEVER THE VEHICLE WAS IN OPERATION. IN ADDITION, WHEN THE ENGINE WAS OPERABLE, A STRONG ODOR OF COOLANT CIRCULATED INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THERE WAS NO COOLANT VISIBLE ON THE GROUND. ON SEPARATE OCCASIONS, THE ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO VIBRATE VIOLENTLY AND MISFIRED. AFTER TURNING THE ENGINE OFF AND THEN RESTARTING, THE VEHICLE RESUMED NORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,000.

THERE IS A DEFECT IN THE ENGINE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM THAT KEEPS BURNING PARTS OUT LIKE LIGHT BULBS, ENGINE COIL PACKS, & DASH COMPONENTS. THE SUSPENSION IN THE REAR SQUEEKS SO BADLY THAT YOU HAVE TO WEAR EAR PLUGS TO DRIVE IT. THE ENGINE SMELLS OF ANTIFREEZE LEAKING ALL THE TIME AND THE BREAKS SQUEAL AND GRIND... OUR DEALER TRIES TO FIX THINGS BUT KEEPS TELLING US THAT DODGE HAS NOT COME UP WITH A FIX FOR MY PROBLEMS AS OF YET. DEALER REFUSES TO DOCUMENT REPAIR ATTEMPS AND GIVES US NO PAPERWORK!

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE DEALER RECOMMENDED AN ALIGNMENT BE PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALER REPLACED THE LEAF SPRINGS WITH HEAVIER LEAF SPRINGS. THE FRONT CHASSIS WAS UNBOLTED AND THE DEALER ATTEMPTED TO REPAIR THE FRONT END. THE MANUFACTURER REPLACED THE ENTIRE VEHICLE; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE OCCURRED IN THE NEW VEHICLE AS WELL. THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 0.

MY RAM PROMASTER BASED CLASS C RV HAS A DOOR STICKER THAT SAYS NOT TO EXCEED 9350 LB GVWR. DYNAMAX ALSO PLACED A STICKER WITH DRY WEIGHT 8024 LB, CARGO CAPACITY 1108 LB. THE DEALER FILLED GAS, PROPANE, AND WATER WHEN I BOUGHT IT. I WENT TO DOT SCALE FRONT AXLE 3540 LB + REAR AXLE 5220 LB = 8760 LB WHICH IS LESS THAN 9350 LB GVWR. MY PROBLEM IS MY WET WEIGHT WITH NO CARGO IS ONLY 60 LB LESS THAN 5291 LB RAWR. HOW CAN I POSSIBLY CARRY 5 - 150 LB PASSENGERS OR ADD ANY CARGO WEIGHT TO THE STORAGE COMPARTMENTS OR CABINETS UNLESS ALL PASSENGERS SIT ON THE FRONT AXLE? THEY MAY BE ABLE TO SIT IN THE 4 BELTED SEATS IN THE BACK IF I DUMP ALL WATER, PROPANE, AND GAS BEFORE DRIVING? ALSO, WHEN I CALLED DYNAMAX THEY SAID THEY WEIGHED THE VEHICLE AT THE FACTORY AND THE RIGHT REAR TIRE WEIGHT WAS 2565 LB ONLY 80 LB LESS THAN 2645 LB = RAWR/2. ALTHOUGH THE VEHICLE MET RAWR DRY AT THE FACTORY WHEN I ADD GAS, PROPANE, WATER, PASSENGERS AND MINIMAL CARGO LIKE CLOTHES, KITCHEN POTS, FOOD THERE IS NOWAY I CAN KEEP WEIGHT UNDER RAWR AND ESPECIALLY RIGHT REAR TIRE LOAD RATING. HOW MUCH WOULD YOU SAY IT IS OK TO EXCEED TIRE LOAD RATING OR RAWR? *TR
