Defect Description
Altec Industries Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2014-2017 Altec Flatbed Bodies with stake rails. The stake rails may not be properly retained, allowing them to become dislodged.
Safety Consequence
If the stake rails become dislodged while the vehicle is moving, it can increase the risk of an injury or a crash.
Remedy
Altec will notify owners and provide stake rail retention kits, free of charge. The recall began on June 21, 2018. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN 680.
