Defect Description

Stoughton Trailers, LLC (Stoughton) is recalling certain 2016-2019 DVW trailers with a specific rear pintle hook mounting assembly and rear suspension hangers welded to a channel suspension sub-frame. The sub-frame may crack around the area where the hangers are welded.

Safety Consequence

The rear suspension hangers can break away from the sub-frame and become detached from the trailer, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Stoughton will notify owners and will repair the existing fatigue cracks and add reinforcements in the area of the rear hanger, free of charge. Owners may contact Stoughton customer service at 1-352-593-5900.
