Defect Description
Nova Bus (US) Inc. (Nova Bus) is recalling certain 2019-2020 LFS commercial buses. The driver's door windows may have been built with the prime glazing manufacturer DOT code mark missing. As such, these vehicles fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 205, "Glazing Materials."
Safety Consequence
A missing DOT code mark may result in the window being replaced with an incorrect type of glass, reducing visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Nova Bus will replace the glass panels, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk were mailed December 12, 2025. A second notice will be sent once the remedy has been finalized. Owners may contact Nova Bus customer service at 1-450-472-6410. Nova Bus' number for this recall is CR5805. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning January 30, 2026.
