MY 2008 SATURN OUTLOOK XR LEAKS FROM THE ROOF/SUNROOF AND WHEN IT RAINS HARD IT HAS BOTH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE GETS SOAKED AND DOWN BOTH SIDES OF THE TOP OF THE DOOR FRAME HEADLINER IS SOAKED AND ALSO MY FLOOR BOARD FROM BOTH PASSENGER AND DRIVER SIDE ARE ALWAYS WET
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 SATURN OUTLOOK. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SUN ROOF LEAKED EACH TIME IT RAINED. THE WATER TRAVELED ACROSS THE TOP OF THE VEHICLE, ONTO THE WINDSHIELD, AND INTO THE DASHBOARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO STUTEVILLE CHEVROLET BUICK GMC OF PONCA CITY (3330 N 14TH ST, PONCA CITY, OK 74601, (580) 749-5976) WHERE THE BODY CONTROL WAS REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED A NEW BATTERY DUE TO THE WATER THAT WAS LEAKING ONTO THE BATTERY. THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE PPM CHIP FOR THE AIR BAG WAS MISSING, WHICH CAUSED THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR TO ILLUMINATE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V118000 (AIR BAGS). THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD LURCH FORWARD WHEN IN PARK OR DRIVE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE SAME DEALER, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 148,564.

TAKATA RECALL....WATER LEAKS INTO THE CAR BEHIND KICKER PANEL ON PASSENGER SIDE GOING DIRECTLY INTO THE FUSE/RELAY BOX. IT LEAKS IN ALL DOOR JAMS AND THE REAR LIFTGATE AREA. I HAVE PROBLEMS WITH MY CAR NOT SHIFTING. THROWING CODE P2723 WHICH IS TRANSMISSON PRESSURE CONTROL SHIFT SOLENOID E. I BELIEVE ITS DUE TO WATER GETTING INTO THE FUSE BOX BECAUSE THERE IS A CONSTANT DRAIN ON MY BATTERY AND WHEN TESTING THE FUSES WITH A TEST LIGHT NOT ALL OF THEM SEEM TO BE GETTING A GOOD CONNECTION DUE TO ALL THE CORROSION. ALSO SUNROOF LEAKS. ALL DOOR CIRCUITS GET WET. I HAVE TO DRY EVRYTHING OUT BEFORE I CAN START IT. THE CARPET SMELLS AND ITS FULL OF RUST. COMMON SENSE WOULD TELL YOU THAT THIS CANNOT BE GOOD FROM ANY ASPECT. IM TO THE POINT TO GOING UP TO GM AND MAKING THEM LOOK REALLY BAD BECAUSE THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I CANNOT BELIEVE WITH SO MANY COMMON PROBLEMS THERE IS YET TO BE A RECALL. I HATE GM AND NEVER WILL I EVER PURCHASE ANY GM PRODUCT NOR WILL I HAVE ANYTHING GOOD TO SAY ABOUT GM. WHEN ALL THIS OCCURED MY CAR WAS OUTSIDE EITHER IN MY DRIVEWAY OR A PARKING LOT OR DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. I HAVR TO COVER THE CAR UP. THE ENTIRE CAR. I BOUGHT THE CAR SOMETIME LAST YEAR. I NOTICED THIS WAS HAPPENING ABOUT 4-5 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE. IVE TRIED FIXING IT MYSELF AND I JUST FAIL EVERYTIME AND ITS RIDICULOUS.

UPON RAINING VERY HARD WATER LEAKS INTO THE CABIN OF THE SUV VIA BEHIND THE EMERGENCY BREAK,AIRBAG PORTS AND FROM UNDER THE GLOVE BOX ONTO THE FLOORBOARDS. MY VEHICLE STAYS ON WHEN THE KEY IS OUT OF THE IGNITION. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON THIS ASAP. THE WATER LEAKS IN WHILE DRIVING IN THE RAIN AS WELL AS IF THE VEHICLE IS SITTING OUTSIDE WHILE ITS RAINING.

OH BOY...HERE GOES. I HAVE A 2008 SATURN OUTLOOK FWD. FOR THE SECOND TIME IN A SPAN IF A FEW YEARS, WATER HAS LEAKED FROM THE SUNROOF AND INTO THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS, FUSEBOXES, FLOORS, ETC. THIS IS THE INFAMOUS DRAINHOSE CLOGGING ISSUE THAT MANY MAY KNOW ABOUT. THE CAR NOW ONLY STARTS WHEN THE KEY IS REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION. THE STEERING WHEEL IS LOCKED BUT I CAN SHIFT GEARS AND MOVE THE CAR BACKWARD AND FORWARD. I'VE CLEANED UP THE WATER, GRIME AND LITTLE LARVAE GROWING FROM THE WATER INTRUSION. ALL ELECTRONICS WORK CORRECTLY (EVEN THE BUTT WARMER 😊) WHAT I'VE TRIED SO FAR: -REPLACED THE IGNITION SWITCH. -REPLACED THE BATTERY -CHECKED ALL OF THE FUSES OF THE UNDERHOOD FUSEBOXES -CHECKED SEVERAL FUSES OF THE UNDER DASH FUSEBOX -THREW A TEMPER TANTRUM -CUT MY FINGER TRYING TO GET TO IMPOSSIBLY PLACED SCREWS -CHECKED FOR RECALLS. GM STILL DOES NOT SUPPORT AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS ISSUE -PULLED THE CODES. THE RECENT ONES I'VE GOTTEN ARE: C0899, C0561, P0017, P0011 LAST TIME THIS HAPPENED, IT COST ME OVER $1500 TO REPLACE ALL OF THE FUSES/WIRING. I AM FRUSTRATED, YES. NO, I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO FIX THIS YET AGAIN. BUT I AM MORE AMAZED AT HOW GM LEAVES THIS ISSUE WITH A TSB AND A GRAIN OF SALT, IN SPITE OF THE OVERWHELMING EVIDENCE OF THIS LONG OCCURRING PROBLEM. I AM LOOKING FOR ADVICE. MECHANICAL ADVICE. THE SUN ROOF IS DEFECTIVE CAUSING WATER TO ENTER INTO THE FRAME OF THE CAR AND CAUSING ELECTRICAL MALFUNCTION TO THE ELECTRICAL / PCM AS WELL HAS CAUSED NUMEROUS NOTIFICATIONS ON INSTRUMENT PANEL ALSO CAUSING INSTRUMENT PANEL TO NOT LIGHT UP WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT WITH NO FUNCTIONS, TURNING OFF HEADLIGHTS AS WELL THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE VIA SATURN FORUMS AND YOUTUBE VIDEOS AS WELL AS TSB NUMBER OF 07-08-57-002F. I FEEL VERY UNSAFE DRIVING AND THIS IS MY ONLY VEHICLE. WHILE DRIVING YOU CAN HEAR WATER MOVING AROUND THROUGHOUT THE BODY OF THE CAR AND THERE IS ALSO WATER IN THE DOORS HAVE SHORTED OUT THE SPEAKERS THIS IS NOT NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. MY 2008 SATURN OUTLOOK APPARENTLY HAS HAD A DEFECTED SUNROOF THAT GMC HAS BEEN TRACKING FOR YEARS NOW BUT HAS NOT INCORPORATED ANY RECALLS TO FIX IT. WE JUST MOVED FROM CA TO VA AND ARE JUST NOW EXPERIENCING ACTUAL RAINFALL THAT LEAKS THROUGH THE BODY OF THE VEHICLE AND INTO THE FLOOR OF THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER FLOORBOARD. I HAVEN'T EXPERIENCED ANY ELECTRICAL ISSUES YET BUT I KNOW THEY ARE COMING. HOWEVER, WE ARE EXPERIENCING MILDEW AND MOLD SMELL IN THE CAR WHICH IS NOT GOOD TO BE INHALING FOR ANYONE IN MY FAMILY. MY QUESTION IS WHAT IS GMC DOING ABOUT THIS!!!

I HAVE HAD IT TO THE GMC DEALER 2X TO LOOK FOR THE ISSUE BUT THEY CANNOT REPLICATE. IN VIEWING INFORMATION ONLINE (SPECIFICALLY EDMONDS.COM) IT APPEARS THAT THIS HAS BEEN A WELL KNOWN PROBLEM SINCE THE AUTO WAS MANUFACTURED - I AM JUST LUCKY THAT MINE HAS BEEN SPORADIC. IT HAS NOT EFFECTED COMPONENTS OF THE VEHICLE YET, BUT IF IT KEEPS HAPPENING I HAVE LITTLE DOUBT THAT THERE WILL BE ISSUES - PARTS CORRODING, ELECTRICAL ISSUES, ETC. AS MENTIONED EARLIER, IT BAFFLES ME THAT THERE ARE 18 PAGES OF IDENTICAL COMPLAINTS, YET THE MANUFACTURER HAS NEVER BEEN MADE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT - AN IDIOT CAN TELL THAT THERE HAS TO BE SOME MANUFACTURER DEFECT TO HAVE THAT # OF OCCURENCES. I REALLY DON'T EXPECT ANYTHING TO COME OF MY ISSUE, BUT WANTED TO DOCUMENT WHAT HAS HAPPENED IN CASE THERE ARE MORE SERIOUS ISSUES LATER SUCH AS AN ACCIDENT CAUSED BY EQUIPMENT FAILURE DUE TO WATER DAMAGE - IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THIS DEFECT CAUSES SERIOUS HARM TO SOMEONE.

IN ADDITION, WATER WAS LEAKING FROM UNDER THE DASHBOARD TO THE FLOORMAT. THE AIR BAGS SENSOR WAS CORRODED DUE TO THE WATER LEAKAGE FROM THE ROOF. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 86,000.

MY CAR HAS PROBLEMS WITH THE PROP ROD RECOVERY SYSTEM. THE BACK HATCH IS VERY DIFFICULT TO RAISE AND LOWER. IT HAS FALLEN ON ME WHEN I'VE BEEN TRYING TO CARRY IN GROCERIES AND IT ALMOST CAME DOWN ON MY GRANDSON'S HEAD WHEN HE WAS STANDING NEXT TO ME TO HELP CARRY IN THE GROCERIES. WHEN I READ AN ARTICLE IN THE BUSINESS SECTION OF OUR LOCAL PAPER ABOUT A RECALL ON 2007-2010 SATURN OUTLOOKS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM I ASSUMED MY CAR WAS RECALLED. AT MY LAST SERVICE AT THE GM DEALERSHIP I ASKED ABOUT THIS RECALL. THEY LOOKED IT UP AND SAID MINE WASN'T PART OF THE RECALL. THEY SAID IT WOULD COST $180-200 TO FIX IT. I CALLED THE SATURN CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE TO DOUBLE CHECK WHETHER MY CAR WAS ON THE LIST. I WAS ADVISED TO MAKE A FORMAL COMPLAINT TO NHTSA TO HOPEFULLY HAVE GM OR WHOMEVER TO EXTEND THE RECALL TO MY MODEL SINCE IT CLEARLY HAS THE SAME ISSUE. THANK YOU

AFTER WORK, OWNER ATTEMPTED TO START CAR TO GO HOME, EXPERIENCED NO CRANK/ NO START. LIGHTS DID COME ON BUT KEY THEN STUCK IN IGNITION. CAR BATTERY EVENTUALLY DIED DUE TO INABILITY TO TURN OFF LIGHTS. COMPANY CALLED TO JUMP START CAR, COMPANY ATTACHED JUMPER CABLES AND LIGHTS CAME ON, VOLTAGE GOOD, CAR STILL NO CRANK NO START. CAR WAS TOWED TO DEALERSHIP. DEALERSHIP DIAGNOSIS WATER LEAKED FROM THE SUNROOF INTO THE FRONT OF CAR AND INTO THE FUSE BOX, REQUIRING A NEW FUSE BOX, ALL NEW TERMINALS AND NEW WIRING. COST FOR REPAIR ESTIMATE $800-$1000. CALLS TO CM/SATURN OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE WITH VEHICLE REPAIR OR COST ASSISTANCE AT ALL. THIS INCIDENT IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS A KNOWN TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN BY GM #08-08-57-003F FLOOR WET UNDER CARPET/ENGINE CONTINUES TO RUN WITH KEY OFF/POSSIBLE NO CRANK/NO START/COMMUNICATION LOSS/VARIOUS ELECTRICAL CONCERNS (SEAL SEAM).

ONE THROUGH THE BACK-UP DISTANCE INDICATOR IN THE BACK OF THE VEHICLE, DOWN THE INSIDES OF THE DOOR PANELS ONTO THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER FLOOR, AND DOWN THE INSIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD. MY CAR STARTED NOT TURNING OFF WHEN I WOULD TURN THE IGNITION OFF WITH THE KEY AND PULL IT OUT. I BROUGHT IT TO A MECHANIC AND HE FIXED 5 LEAKS IN THE SUNROOF DRAINS. NOW MY BLOWER MOTOR WON'T WORK, BUT MY CAR DOES TURN OFF AGAIN WHEN I WANT IT TO. MECHANIC SAID I SHOULD BRING THE CAR BACK IN TO HAVE ALL THE CARPET/SEATS TAKEN OUT AND COMPLETELY DRIED OUT SO I DON'T GET MOLD UNDER THE CARPET, TOO. DON'T HAVE THE FUNDS FOR ALL THE FIXES FOR THIS VEHICLE AND THE ELECTRIC PROBLEMS, SO I'LL HAVE TO DO ONE AT A TIME. I LOVE THE VEHICLE, BUT IT'S A LOVE/HATE RELATIONSHIP. THE PROBLEM STARTS WITH HEAVY RAIN LEAKING THROUGH THE SUN ROOF. ACCORDING TO THE ED MORSE DEALERSHIP REPRESENTATIVE, THE SUNROOF IS PROJECTED TO PASS SOME WATER (VERY FEW) THAT WILL DRAIN THROUGH THE DRAIN TUBES LOCATED AT THE FRONT AND REAR COLUMNS (SIDES OF THE WINDSHIELD). HOWEVER, THE TUBES MAY GET CLOGGED AN THE WATER STARTS LEAKING INSIDE THE CAR THROUGH THE COLUMNS WERE AIRBAG ARE LOCATED. NEVERTHELESS, THESE TUBES ARE NOT LONG ENOUGH TO DRIVE THE WATER UNTIL THE BOTTOM OF THE CAR SO THE WATER WILL LEAK INTO THE INNER FUSE BLOCK, WILL DAMP THE CARPETS ON THE PASSENGER AND DRIVER SIDES AND MAKE MUCH MORE DAMAGE THAN YOU CAN BELIEVE. I JUST LEFT MY 2008 OUTLOOK XR AT THE DEALER. ACCORDING TO THEM THE PROBLEM ARE THE TUBES THAT DRAIN THE WATER FROM THE SUNROOF. THESE TUBES RUN INSIDE THE FRONT AND REAR COLUMNS (ON THE SIDES THE WINDSHIELD IN THE FRONT AND THE SIDE COLUMNS ON THE BACK OF THE CAR). THESE TUBES ARE NOT LONG ENOUGH TO DRIVE THE WATER UNTIL THE BOTTOM OF THE CAR SO THE WATER WILL LEAK INTO THE INNER FUSE BLOCK, WILL DAMP THE CARPETS ON THE PASSENGER AND DRIVER SIDES AND MAKE MUCH MORE DAMAGE THAN YOU CAN BELIEVE. IT RAINED AGAIN YESTERDAY AND THE SAME ISSUE OCCURRED WHERE THERE WAS WATER LEAKING FROM THE DRIVER SIDE PILLAR NEAR THE AIR BAG. I NOTICED THE CAR STAYING ON ONE TIME AND THEN THE NEXT MORNING THE CAR WOULD NOT START. I BEGAN RESEARCHING THE ISSUE AND FOUND SIMILAR COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER GM USERS. I BROUGHT IT TO A GM DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME THE SUNROOF DRAIN TUBES WERE CLOGGED. IT COST ME $90.00 TO HAVE THEM CLEAN IT OUT. THE CAR IS NORMALLY GARAGED, HOWEVER WE HAD DRIVEN IT DURING A RAINSTORM THE DAY BEFORE THIS HAPPENED. AFTERWARDS WE STARTED NOTICING SOME CRAZY THINGS HAPPENING TO THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM OF THE CAR. SOMETIMES THE RADIO WOULD STAY ON EVEN AFTER THE KEY WAS REMOVED AND OPENING THE DOORS (WHICH NORMALLY WOULD SHUT EVERYTHING DOWN.) SOMETIMES THE FRONT DOOR PANEL SPEAKERS WOULD NOT WORK AT ALL, OR ONE WOULD WORK OR BOTH WOULD WORK. RIGHT NOW THE DRIVERS SIDE IS NOT WORKING. THEN THE DAY AFTER THE CAR WAS OUT IN A TORRENTIAL RAIN STORM SOMETIME NEAR THE END OF FEBRUARY 2014, IT WOULD NOT START AT ALL. IT WAS COMPLETELY DEAD AND I HAD TO CALL AAA TO GET IT STARTED. THE AAA GUY SAID TO CHECK THIS CAR OUT ONLINE FOR ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS, WHICH I DID AND FOUND VOLUMES OF COMPLAINTS STEMMING FROM THIS ISSUE, AS WELL AS SEVERAL GM TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS OR TSB'S AS THEY ARE REFERRED TO. I ONCE AGAIN BROUGHT IT TO THE GM DEALERSHIP WHICH KNEW ABOUT THE ISSUE AND REPAIRED IT AT A COST TO ME OF $810.39. GM HAS NOT ADDRESSED THIS ISSUE DIRECTLY, NOR HAS COMPENSATED ANY OF THE CONSUMERS WHO OWN THE VEHICLES THAT ALL HAVE THIS PROBLEM, NAMELY SATURN OUTLOOK, GMC ACADIA AND BUICK ENCLAVE FROM 2008 - 2010. MY 2008 SATURN OUTLOOK (W/SUNROOF) ENGINE CONTINUES TO RUN WITH KEY OFF POSITION (SEE GM BULLETIN #08-08-57-003C [SEAM SEAL] DATED JULY 15, 2011) WATER LEAK AT A-PILLAR CAUSED VARIOUS ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS SUCH AS ENGINE CONTINUES TO RUN WITH KEY OFF/POSSIBLE NO CRANK/NO START/COMMUNICATION LOSS/VARIOUS ELECTRICAL CONCERNS, WHICH WAS THE RESULT OF A WATER LEAK ON THE IP BEC FROM THE SUNROOF DRAIN HOSE THAT EXITS THROUGH THE VEHICLE AT THE PLENUM AND RE-ENTER THROUGH THE "UNSEALED SEAM AT THE FRONT OF THE DASH". TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 SATURN OUTLOOK. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WATER WAS LEAKING INTO THE VEHICLE THROUGH THE ROOF, CAUSING VARIOUS ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER DISCOVERED WATER IN THE FUSE BOX AND TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURS IN RAINY WEATHER AND THE CONTACT BELIEVED THAT WATER WAS ENTERING FROM THE DOME LIGHTS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 39,500.

2008 SATURN OUTLOOK XR W/DUAL SUNROOFS LEAKS WATER THROUGH INSIDE CORNER PILLARS, WHICH HOUSE SEAT BELT AND AIR BAGS. THE WATER COULD COMPROMISE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE AIR BAGS AND THE SEATBELT RETRACTORS. IT WILL ALSO LEAK ONTO DRIVERS FLOOR, THROUGH ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS, WHICH COULD CAUSE LOSS OF FUNCTIONS. MULTIPLE REPORTS HAVE BEEN MADE. MANY OWNERS HAVE REPORTED AS MANY AS 6 OR MORE VISITS TO HAVE THE CONDITION CORRECTED UNDER WARRANTY, TO NO AVAIL. GM APPARENTLY STONEWALLS COMPLAINANTS UNTIL THE WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED, AND REFUSES TO FIND A PERMANENT FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM. PROBLEM HAS BEEN ONGOING IN SATURN OUTLOOK AND OTHER SIMILAR GM MODELS SINCE 2007. WATER ENTERS THE ROOF, AND RUNS TO THE LOWEST CORNER OF THE VEHICLE, DEPENDING ON HOW IT IS PARKED. ALTHOUGH SATURN IS NOW DEFUNCT, THERE REMAIN MANY OF THESE VEHICLES IN USE. GM SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO DEVELOP A PERMANENT FIX, AND RECALL ALL POTENTIALLY AFFECTED VEHICLES TO CORRECT THIS DANGEROUS ONGOING CONDITION. *LN

I HAVE A 2008 SATURN OUTLOOK THAT AROUND 25000 MILES STARTED LEAKING WATER FROM THE SUN ROOF, WINDSHIELD PILLARS AND HEADLINER. THE WATER LEAK ALSO CAUSED THE BRAKE SWITCH TO CORRODE AND THE EMERGENCY BRAKE LIGHT AND ALARM TO CONTINUOUSLY GO OFF. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP THAT IDENTIFIED A RECALL FOR SUNROOM DRAINS THAT TO CORRECT THE ISSUE. ABOUT 3 WEEKS LATER WATER STARTED LEAKING INTO THE VEHICLE AGAIN AND IT HAS BEEN ONGOING EVER SINCE. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN BACK TO 3 DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS A TOTAL OF 5 TIMES FOR THE WATER LEAK AND EACH TIME THE LEAK WOULD GO AWAY FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS OR SO. THE VEHICLE SMELLS FROM THE CONTINUOUS LEAKING WATER. I WAS ADVISED THAT ONCE THE LEAK WAS TOTALLY REPAIRED THEY WOULD WORK WITH ME TO REPLACE THE DAMAGED CARPETS AND HEADLINER. AROUND OCTOBER 2009 THE SATURN CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFERED ME A COMPLETE BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY TO CONTINUE COVERAGE ON MY VEHICLE AND SO THEY COULD WORK ON THE LEAK. IN JANUARY 2010 THE WATER LEAK RE-APPEARED BUT ALL OF THE SATURN DEALERSHIPS HAD CLOSED DOWN AND GM HAD NOT DETERMINED WHAT DEALERSHIP I SHOULD USE. I WAS ADVISED IN FEBRUARY 2010 TO USE A LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP FOR ALL FUTURE REPAIRS, I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THIS DEALERSHIP FOR THE WATER LEAK AND ANOTHER ISSUE FOR REPAIR AND I WAS ADVISED THAT THE WATER LEAK WAS NOT A COVERED REPAIR EVEN THOUGH IT WAS AN ONGOING DOCUMENTED ISSUE. I WAS GIVEN A SUPPORT NUMBER TO CALL. WHEN I CALLED THE NUMBER AND OPEN UP ANOTHER CUSTOMER SUPPORT TICKET I WAS ADVISED THAT I WOULD BE CONTACTED IN 24-48 HOURS. TWO WEEKS LATER I RECEIVED A CALL BACK AND, I WAS ADVISED THAT THE EXTENDED WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER WATER LEAKS AND THEY WOULD NOT HELP ME WITH MY ONGOING WATER LEAK. I WAS ALSO ADVISED THAT NO REPAIRS WOULD BE DONE FOR ANY OF THE WATER DAMAGE AND THAT I WOULD BE CHARGED AT THE END OF MY LEASE FOR ALL OF THE WATER DAMAGE. SINCE I LEASED THIS VEHICLE, I HAVE HAD TO RETURN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP A TOTAL OF 6 TIMES. MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN OUT OF SERVICE FOR REPAIRS FOR APPROXIMATELY 20 CALENDAR DAYS. THE CURRENT MILEAGE ON MY VEHICLE IS 18,654. MY VEHICLE HAS HAD PROBLEMS WITH STEERING, TRANSMISSION, AND THE ELECTRIC SEAT, BUT THE MAIN REASON THAT THE VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT IN FOR REPAIR ON EACH OF THE SIX VISITS IS AS FOLLOWS: WHEN RAINING, WATER APPEARS IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS: (A) PASSENGER SIDE, 2ND COLUMN; (B) PASSENGER SIDE, DIRECTLY BELOW GLOVE COMPARTMENT; (C) PASSENGER SIDE, FLOOR AREA; (D) PASSENGER SIDE DOOR, FLOOR AREA DIRECTLY BELOW DOOR; (E) PASSENGER SIDE WINDSHIELD, DROPPING FROM TOP OF WINDSHIELD AREA ONTO DASHBOARD; (F) PASSENGER SIDE SEATBELT -- COMPLETELY SOAKING WET; (G) PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG PLUG, WATER DRIPPING OUT FROM EDGES; (H) DRIVER SIDE SEATBELT; (I) DRIVER SIDE WINDOW. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN EACH AND EVERY TIME IT RAINS; IT HAPPENS EVERY 2 TO 4 TIMES IT RAINS. THE LAST TIME IT WAS BROUGHT IN TO SATURN, SMOKE WAS POURING OUT FROM BELOW THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT AND THERE WAS A VERY BAD "ELECTRICAL" TYPE OF SMELL. THE HEADLINER HAS BEEN REMOVED A COUPLE OF TIMES; THEY HAVE VERIFIED THAT THERE IS DAMPNESS AND A WATER LEAK ABOVE THE HEADLINER, BUT THEY CANNOT REPLICATE OR DETERMINE THE SOURCE OF THE LEAKING. THE DEALERSHIP HAS INFORMED THAT AT THIS POINT THEY CAN DO NOTHING FURTHER TO DETERMINE THE SOURCE OF THE LEAK. THEY STATE THAT AN ENGINEER FROM SATURN MUST LOOK AT THE VEHICLE TO ATTEMPT TO DETERMINE THE PROBLEM. I HAVE WRITTEN TO SATURN AND THEY ARE SENDING SOMEONE OUT TO LOOK AT IT NEXT WEEK.
