THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (LARRY MILLER TOYOTA, ALBUQUERQUE, NM, 505-545-8699) WHERE THE TECHNICIAN RECOMMENDED A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THE TEST WAS NOT PERFORMED AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE FAILURE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 90,000.

TRAVELING AT 40 MPH, STARTED SLOWING DOWN DUE TO THE FACT THAT SHE WAS APPROACHING A LIGHT WHERE SHE WOULD HAVE MADE HER TURN, AND ENDED UP REAR ENDING THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF HE. AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY, AND THE SEATBELT SHE WAS WEARING AT THE TIME DID NOT HOLD HER BACK. AS A RESULT SHE ENDED UP HITTING THE STEERING WHEEL AND SUFFERING FROM COSTOCHONDRITIS/ CHEST TRAUMA WHICH WAS CONFIRMED BY EMERGENCY STAFF ONCE SHE ARRIVED AT THE HOSPITAL. *TR
