MY PROBLEM CONSISTS OF A JERKISH FEELING FROM DE-ACCELERATE TO ACCELERATION. I WAS RIDING HOME FROM LATE DINNER WITH SOME FRIENDS AROUND MIDNIGHT, WAS COMING TO A CORNER WHERE I NOTICED WATER FROM NEAR SPRINKLERS, I THEN LET OFF MY GAS TO SLOW DOWN TO COME INTO THE TURN, AS I STARTED TO GIVE IT GAS AGAIN, IT SHARPLY SPED UP CAUSING ME TO LOW SIDE FROM THE CORNER. I WAS GOING NO MORE THEN 15-20MPH, AS I WAS COMING OUT FROM THE CORNER APPROX. 30MPH. I'VE HAD A FEW OTHER SUZUKI BIKES, OLDER YEARS, NEVER HAD THIS SORT OF PROBLEM. I'VE BEEN RIDING FOR OVER 5-9YEARS. *TR

ABRUPT ON/OFF THROTTLE CAN CAUSE SUDDEN AND UNEXPECTED RAPID DECELERATION AND ACCELERATION, DESTABILIZING THE VEHICLE POTENTIALLY LEADING TO LOSS OF CONTROL AND A CRASH. THIS CAUSES AN UNCONTROLLABLE SHAKE OF THE MOTORCYCLE AND COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE GREAT DAMAGE AT HIGH SPEEDS. I FIRST THOUGHT IT WAS THE KICKSTAND KILLSWITCH. IT WAS LOOSE SO I FIXED IT AND THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS. NOW IM WONDERING IF I COULD HAVE A FAULTY S.E.T. VALVE OR LEMON ECU. I HAD AN OVERHEATING ISSUE WITH THE BIKE. THE MOTORCYCLE HAD 800 MILES ON IT. I WAS RIDING ON THE HIGHWAY WITH THE AIR TEMPERATURE AROUND 70 DEGREE. THE BIKE WAS RUNNING AROUND 200 DEGREES. WHEN I STOPPED FOR GAS AT THE GAS STATION THE BIKE IMMEDIATELY OVERHEATED UP TO 250 DEGREES WHEN I TURNED OFF THE ENGINE. AN INDEPENDENT PROFESSIONAL MOTORCYCLE REPAIR SHOP REPAIRED THE BIKE AFTER THE FAILURE AND THEY FOUND OUT THAT THIS SERIES OF BIKES HAS A DESIGN FAILURE AT THE THERMOSTAT HOUSING. THE HOUSING IS SMALLER THAN THE THERMOSTAT'S OPENING PART SO THE THERMOSTAT CAN NOT OPEN FULLY OR CAN BE STUCK INSIDE IN A PARTLY OPENED POSITION. THE LOCAL SUZUKI DEALER IGNORED THE PROBLEM!!! THIS PROBLEM CAN CAUSE THE ENGINE BRAKES DOWN. AMERICAN SUZUKI HAS BEEN NOTIFIED BY A LETTER ABOUT THE PROBLEM THERE IS NO RESPONSE YET. *JB
