BRAKES MADE LOUD GRINDING NOISE, HAVE HAD BRAKE PADS/LINERS REPLACE 3 TIMES IN THE LAST SEVERAL MONTHS. PROBLEM WILL NOT RESOLVE. BRAKE PEDAL BECOMES MUSHY AND ABS HAS FAILED SEVERAL TIMES. SEAT BELTS LOCK AND STAY LOCKED AT THE SLIGHTEST BRAKING PRESSURE AND/OR VEHICLE SPEED AND DO NOT RELEASE FOR SEVERAL MINUTES. THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM THAT NO ONE SEEMS TO WANT TO ADDRESS. *JB

DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THE ANTILOCK BRAKES FAILED WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH IN SNOW WITHOUT WARNING. THERE IS A NHTSA RECALL, # 05V452000, REGARDING THE SERVICE BRAKES HYDRAULIC. THE VEHICLE HAS THE SAME PROBLEMS AS INDICATED IN THE RECALL; HOWEVER IT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL DUE TO THE VIN.

THIS SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM. MY FATHER ALSO HAS THE SAME VEHICLE, WITH 36K MILES. HE TOO HAS HAD THE BRAKE LINING REPLACED TWICE. THIS CANNOT BE NORMAL! PLEASE INVESTIGATE. *JB
