The vehicle illuminated the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) and stored DTC P26CB71 – Electric Water Pump Speed Stuck. The dealer confirmed the electric coolant pump actuator is mechanically stuck and requires replacement at a quoted cost of $1,257.81. Toyota official TSB-0323-17 (published December 8, 2017) explicitly states that this exact repair for DTC P26CB71 is covered under the Toyota Federal Emission Warranty for 96 months or 80,000 miles from the vehicle’s in-service date. Despite the vehicle being well within both time and mileage limits, the dealer and EPA both refuse to honor Toyota’s own published 8-year Federal Emissions Warranty, violating 40 CFR §85.2107(a) which mandates that the manufacturer “shall repair or replace” any covered failed emission-related part at no cost to the owner. The failed electric water pump is an emission-related component because its malfunction triggers an OBD-II emissions DTC and can cause elevated emissions due to improper engine temperature control. The part remains installed in the vehicle and is available for inspection. No warning symptoms appeared prior to the MIL illumination.
My 2018 Toyota Camry (VIN [XXX] ) crashed and burned completely on Nov 16, 2025. while driving on the Freeway the vehicle stopped suddenly without any notice on dashboard all electrical turned off steering wheel locked and lost control hit left fwy barrier which caused car to spun couple times and when it came to a complete stop was not able to turn car or even turn emergency lights on and couple seconds later was rear ended by another vehicle which caused vehicle to catch on fire and vehicle was fully in flames after reviewing history of vehicle I never received notification of Toyota Recall 18V-200, which addresses defective pistons that can cause engine stalling, rough running, loss of power, or sudden failure. Based on VIN and production date, my car likely falls within the recall. Police and fire reports are available. Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2018 Toyota Camry. The contact discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy with the vehicle. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of the purchase, the mileage was 91,000, and at the time of registration, it was discovered that the mileage was 170,000.
Mileage: 170,000
The contact owns a 2018 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that there would be a sudden loss of power steering functionality and just as sudden, the power steering function would return. The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) and the Air Bag Malfunction warning lights were illuminated. The starter had suddenly failed due to a loss of battery power. The contact purchased a jump box to start the vehicle. The contact stated that the key fob failed to unlock the doors, causing the contact to have to manually open the doors with the keys. The windows could not be controlled from the control panel near the driver's seat. Each window could only be controlled by the window switch on the door where the window was located. The TPMS warning light as illuminated, despite the tire pressure being at the correct levels. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for an oil change, at which time the failures were stated, but the dealer only diagnosed that the battery charge was low. The dealer had not repaired the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a certified mechanic who replaced the battery. After having the repair completed, the SRS warning light remained illuminated, with the Service Vehicle warning light. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and confirmed that the VIN was not covered under recall. The failure mileage was approximately 86,000.

When I am driving on a 4 lane hwy and I am in the left lane and a car in the right lane stops on the side of me my car stops also by itself .This is very dangerous . Someone can rear end me and cause a major accident. This is putting me and possibly someone else’s life in danger.I took it to Team Toyota in Baton Rouge. One technician drove it and it did it for him. They performed software updates. Test drove it several times and said it did not do it for them. Paid over $800. On my way home it did it again, complete stop on its own when a car next to me stopped. Took the car back to Team Toyota the next morning. They did test drive and it did it several times with them. Team Toyota still has my car waiting on a regional field tech to come look at my car. I called Toyota Brand Engagement 800-331-4331 to report this and have a case number [XXX] and spoke with Jasmin there. My warning panel told me to take the car to dealer for reprogram, and dealer said my wiring harness for hybrid electric system had been chewed by rodents and the harness and probably batteries should be replaced NOW or the car might catch fire. I replaced the harness and the batteries. When I asked to see the parts, they said they had boxed and shipped. Later, a friend alerted me to a problem with Soy-based coatings on wires that rodents found tasty. My friend said his KIA had same problem and his insurance covered the expense . Now, I’m $5000 poorer, and Toyota hasn’t compensated me for repairs.
Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2018 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that while attempting to resell the vehicle, it was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 72,000 and at the time of reselling the vehicle, it was discovered that the mileage was 230,000.

Intermittently, when leaving from a stop the car will have just enough power to pull forward about a car length before losing all drive power. The engine revs, but behaves as if it were in neutral. This happened a couple times when making a left turn from a stop sign leaving the car in cross traffic, powerless, with cars coming from the drivers side for a second or two before it had power again. It seems to happen in hot weather. It is intermittent. The dealership could not reproduce the problem. There were no warning lamps. I could make the vehicle available for inspection upon request. The first appearance was last summer. It did not do it over the winter. It happened again yesterday. When it happens it tends to happen for a few minutes before driving normally again. It may happen at start up or after the car has been driven for some time.
While operating my vehicle, the multi information display between the tachometer and RPM gauges flashed bold red letters BRAKE (even though nothing was in front of us at all) then the screen went 100% black. When that happens, the majority of the safety features are obsolete because you cannot see or read what caused the beep. Also, the Odometer could not be seen as well as feul eveonomy, if cruise control was engaged, what gear your engine is in if Sports mode is activated (in which occurs if accidently hitting the gear switches on your steering wheel just turning it), unable to see maintenance messages, cannot control the sensor settings...nothing. When I finally had enough money to even get the car diagnosed (roughly $187), the Corwin Toyota dealership asked me for the mileage, and I had to tell them to tell me. They did confirm the instrument panel/cluster to be defective, however, I and my extended warranty company had to pay the bill. 53,252 miles when they serviced it. When I paid my portion, I asked Lori how long will this one last and she told me, "They are suppose to last the duration of the car's life." I replied, "Um, but...". On April 17th I called Toyota's Customer Engagement line and spoke with them about the defective part and repair. Dorian told me that with the part replaced carries a 1 year warranty. If Toyota designed essentially all the safety features, eco features, cruise control, gears to only be seen or controlled on that multi-informational display within the instrument panel/cluster, they should be required to fix it at no cost to customers for the lifetime of the car. I took video of it before I dropped it off to be serviced., but even Corwin Toyota in Fargo, ND, has video footage of the mechanic's assessment.
Only when it rains the forward collision warning light comes on. The last time it came on the engine light also came on with code P01280. Diagnostic at Toyota said the Thermostat needs to be replaced. I decided to look into this as the thermostat should not be bad at 54500 miles. Weeks later and the neither light has come on again.
The car first stalled ,then the it shut off ,and the car did not start. The car has almost half tank of gas. So I was doing My research on line. And saw 3 recalls and one of them was the fuel pump system for my 2018 camry LE.
Panoramic sunroof issues. Sunroof is stuck in the open position. Motor clicks continuously but does not close. Toyota dealership only able to close top portion of sunroof and had to disconnect the motor. Sunroof not used often so this should not have happened, and vehicle is not that old. The cost to repair is outrageous.
multiple issues with radar sensors- disable parking assist, lane assist and rear traffic sensors due to constant malfunctioning - battery has been replaced twice within the past 6 months - vacuum pump for automatic break assist replaced APRIL 2024 - automatic brake assist failed while on vacation and car had to be driven without assisted breaks from New Orleans to Jackson MS for repair - car can only be driven in SPORT MODE otherwise there is concerning jerking and rough gear change and acceleration lag, this issue has been addressed since the date of purchase but no serious concerns expressed by maintenance professionals. Car has been having major issues now since approximately MID TO LATEJULY 2024 MORE ISSUES BEGAN - ROUGH, FLUXUATING IDLE while parked and while driving - BATTERY REPLACED, AIR FILTER REPLACED, SPARK PLUGS REPLACED, O2 SENSORS (BOTH) REPLACED, THROTTLE BODY REPLACED, IDLE AIR CONTROL SENSOR REPLACED; ALL JUST OVER THE COURSE OF 4 MONTHS- car sputters and rattles after getting gas - has died after being gassed up 3 separate times since AUGUST 2024- MAF SENSOR was the last part considered the potential culprit- order replacement and installed, check engine light immediately came on after installation PO607 ECM- Removed NEW MAF SENSOR and REINSTALLED OLD ONE- CODE WAS ABLE TO BE CLEARED- WAITING ON ANOTHER REPLACEMENT MAF SENSOR- TOO many codes have been thrown too list here but all parts have been replaced to "fix" the issues without success. Car stalls at redlights and stop signed. Sputters and idles erratically after filling with gas. Idle fluctuates when in park. Car has been well maintained and is my daily driver. I have 3 children and have been stranded at gas stations twice with [XXX] in generally unsafe locations during evening hours since AUGUST. I can not keep throwing money into a car with less than 200k miles on it. PLEASE HELP INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The contact owns a 2018 Toyota Camry. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked, the vehicle failed to start-up. Additionally, the low braking power warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact was informed that the repair was not covered under an unknown recall. The failure mileage was 34,000.

Door actuators. I replaced the driver side actuator within the first two years of ownership and now the front passenger door actuator is going bad.
Upon leaving my home the “check engine” light turned on suddenly after only less than 2 minutes of driving . The “ICS malfunction” light also turned on. The car pulled and stalled when pushing the gas and velocity stalled. Engine light turned said something similar to “engine overheating park in a safe place” . Not sure exact words. I was able drive less then one mile to get the car to Toyota Penske of Downey. I had the diagnostic done and the service provider stated the car needed an electrician water pump replacement. My car has very little mileage and was not running for long for it to over heat.
Doors come equipped with touch active door lock. Where you press on the door and it locks and if you put hand on the handle it will unlock. First the passenger door stopped working. It doesn’t lock the car. Now the driver seat stopped working. You have to lock doors manually and some times it won’t unlock the door for you after car is locked.
My vehicle is displaying a low break message and is telling me to park for safety. However, the vehicle is not movable from my garage.
Subject: Concerns Regarding TSB T-SB-0017-23 for Toyota Camry HV Vehicles Dear NHTSA, I am deeply concerned about the recently released Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) T-SB-0017-23 by Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. This TSB addresses a potential issue with the active grille air shutter actuator in specific 2018-2020 Camry HV vehicles equipped with the A25A-FXS engine. Releasing the TSB in April 2023, after the warranty periods for many affected vehicles have expired, is unfair to owners. A 2018 Camry HV's warranty period of 36 months/36,000 miles ended in 2021. This situation raises significant concerns as it burdens owners with the financial responsibility of repairs for an issue that was not their fault, potentially compromising safety if repairs are not promptly carried out. Toyota's inadequate efforts to ensure all affected owners have access to necessary repairs are disheartening. I urgently appeal for a thorough investigation and decisive action to ensure that regardless of warranty status, all owners of affected Camry HV vehicles can obtain essential repairs. I would like to bring attention to a similar TSB, T-SB-0319-17, issued by Toyota in November 2017 for Prius Prime 2017 and 2016-2017 models. This TSB addressed a comparable issue with the active grille air shutter actuator. Toyota extended the warranty for affected vehicles in California by 180 months or 150,000 miles, aligning with the manufacturing year and ensuring all vehicles were covered. The repair was covered under the California Emission Warranty for specific states. The discrepancy in approach between the two TSBs raises concerns about the fairness and consistency of Toyota's actions. It is crucial for Toyota to extend similar warranty coverage for affected Camry HV vehicles, ensuring all owners have access to necessary repairs without financial hardship. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I urge prompt action in addressing these concerns.
Multiple system malfunctions lights stay on. Dealer does not not what the issue is. Windshield wiper and signal light also not working.
I bought the car 6/23/21 and since then The electrical power steering system light indicates a malfunction , I had it serviced three times and so far the warning sign still goes on, I called Toyota and they can't help me, I do not want to wait for an accident to happen before it is taken care of.
Electric power steering system warning light keeps coming on which indicates a malfunction in the EPS, comes on and off at different times, since I bought the car in June 23, 2021
During replacement of Brake Light Switch, observed that original switch nut was installed up-side-down. Replaced switch, because vehicle intermittently would not go into gear. It is highly likely that brake lights were also not working intermittently. Vehicle only had 20K miles and I assume it came from Factory with the switch nut installed up-side-down. This condition allows the brake switch to be misaligned.
My door locks won't lock any of them by remote or on the door.. Last night I loved them all & my remote acted like it did the beep beep.. All of a sudden after 3 mins my alarm was going off.. Then I went out & unlocked my door & then locked it back by hand of course then 3 mins later alarm going off again.. So I just unlocked the door..
Braking Malfunction OVERHEATING shut the whole car down. Drained my battery starter, window module, blind spotting warning,
System malfunction
The car is currently bricked and I am receiving messages on dash telling me power brakes are not functioning and parking brakes unavailable low power braking also electronic issues with my front camera is not functioning but I don’t have a front camera.
The entire brake system became inoperative on my 2018 Toyota Camry on two separate occasions causing a near fatal accident and damaged to my property and to the property of the other driver on the road. The first incident occurred on the freeway while I was driving behind another vehicle. As my car approached the other vehicle, I press down on the brake pedal all the way but my car would not slow down or stop but continue to accelerate thus causing me to rear end the other car. My car gave no prior warning that the brake system was malfunctioning. I was deemed by the insurance company as the responsible party for the accident thus my insurance premium was increased. The second incident occurred when I was in a residential area approaching my driveway. The car again failed to stop when I pressed down on the brake pedal. The emergency hand brake did not work either. I had no choice but to shift the car into parking which cause me to hit the curve and only inches away from my garage door. The brake fluid under the hood of my car bursts thus leaking the fluid all over the street and my driveway. Both of these incidents caused my elderly mother and myself great emotional stress and post traumatic symptoms. Prior to this Toyota issued a recall on all 2018 to 2019 Toyota Camry for the potential brake failure. I had to towed my car to the Toyota dealership for repair. It has been over 3 months and Toyota has done nothing to remedy this problem. They claim the parts for the brakes are back order and that there is a shortage of parts everywhere. This is the only answer I get when I call them for an update. I have spoken to the service manager, the customer relation manager and the corporate office but none are willing to assists me to resolve this matter.
Backup camera suddenly stopped showing video feed to the vehicle screen. No warning lamps were ever produced. The screen works intermittently and will fail for entire ignition cycles once it stops working. I had to dig through diagnostic menus that are hidden to the customer. The screen works as intended when the vehicle is not in reverse. Safety concern is that no check engine lamp was lit when the backup camera circuit failed.
All of the warning notifications keep going off. I have been to the dealership 3 times paid for a battery replacement and battery terminal replacement. I was quoted a ridiculous rate for a engine wiring harness replacement, I had to get that replaced by a certified technician but the car is still doing the same thing. I am starting to feel like I was sold a lemon.
The longer I have this car, the more issues arise yearly. When this car was first bought as new I noticed that the car battery would die whenever I didn't drive for a single day. As the years pass the situation just gets worse. Today I was about to drive to work and found to my dismay that the car refuses to start. I couldn't even unlock my car with the key fob buttons, I had to use the key itself to unlock the car door to get in. The trunk refused to open even with the button inside the car, so I had to ONCE AGAIN use my key in the key slot to open. No lights came on when I tried to start the car, usually you can hear the engine struggle to start but not this time. After I had it jumpstarted the engine made a truly weird and strange sound, like rattling but much more higher pitched. Engine also sounded very weak too, much higher pitched than usual, almost like it was going to fade out of power. I have not changed the battery for a bit over 4 years. I don't drive much at all, I have 16K miles accumulated in the 4.5 years I've had this vehicle. I really want to love this car and own it until 100K but with problems like this I don't think this car will even last another 5 years. I'm thinking of selling this after a few years and getting a Lexus SUV instead. Apparently this battery issue is common in modern Toyotas, particularly sedans. I have other relatives with new Toyotas and they all had to have battery replacement in less than 2 years of ownership. It's a bummer that Toyota QC is going down and they are focusing instead on more technology in the cabin. I can only hope and pray that my car won't quit on me in a dark and empty lot one day.
When I was complete left or right turning steering wheel at low rpm, it feels like hard of stiff and loosen and stiff again and loosen. So I was gone to toyota dealership, but they couldnt find anything.
Left rear cross traffic sensor fell into rear bumper (adhesive failure?). This is the second incident. Toyota service manager claims it was knocked into bumper by external force although that is not what happened. The sensor failed when groceries were loaded into trunk during Covid. This is the exact sensor that was repaired by the service department previously claiming it was due to adhesive failure. There is no way to disable the sensor failure alarm on the dashboard display so there is a constant rear sensor failure alarm blinking constantly on the dashboard which is annoying.
In dealer 2 different dealers for 2 computer failures 2x. So called repaired. Car hits the brakes by itself there is no way to turn off the radar on the front of the car. You have to remember to turn it off everytime you drive it. Then the gas pedal and brakes failed. The tow truck guy said just disconnect the battery for 15 minutes to re-set the Ecu. Well he did and I had to retrain the car how to shift over several days. Good thing the failure occured at 30mph. I am selling this. I have owned Camry's since the 90's and im afraid to drive this and bought another car. Contact the next owner. Selling it as is.........
I was going home from Houston to Richmond Texas but a few minutes into driving some warning lights came on and a warning message says Secondary Brake System malfunction. Then all of a sudden the steering wheel was almost locked and was very hard to maneuver. But due to safety of where I was driving I tried hard to reach a Toyota service center nearby which was about to close so I decided to drive to another one nearby my home. A week or so later they said the car was inspected and repaired but on my way home after picking up the car I had to return it again and since then which has been approximately a month now the car is still in service waiting for parts. The safety of others and mine was at risk as the steering wheel was very tough to maneuver. The problem was confirmed by the dealer. The vehicle component was inspected by Toyota service worker and they said they also had it checked by the manufacturer personnel. There were no prior warning or symptoms prior to this incident which happened on May 24, 2021.

WHEN ATTEMPTING TO START, CAR ACTED AS IF THE BATTERY WAS VERY LOW IT TURNED OVER, DASH WENT BLACK FOR ABOUT 3 SECONDS AND CAR STARTED VERY FORCEFULLY. CAR HAD BEEN PARKED UNDER CARPORT FOR ABOUT 16 HOURS. THE DAY BEFORE CAR WAS IN THE SAME CONDITIONS AND STARTED RIGHT UP NO PROBLEMS.

MY WIFE'S 2018 CAMRY ROLLED AWAY DOWN OUR DRIVEWAY WHILE THE SHIFTER WAS IN PARK. IT'S GOT 33K MILES ON IT. ON THE WAY DOWN THE HILL, IT CLEARLY ENGAGED THE PARKING PIN BECAUSE IT DRUG THE FRONT WHEELS 10 OR SO FEET BEFORE HITTING MY NEIGHBORS HOUSE. THE CAR WAS RUNNING, I HOPPED OUT AFTER PUTTING IT IN PARK AND ALL FOUR DOORS UNLOCKED. I PUT A PACKAGE IN THE REAR DRIVER SIDE, WENT TO OPEN THE TRUNK, MY WIFE (WHO WAS SITTING IN THE PASSENGERS SEAT) HIT THE REMOTE ON THE KEYS IN THE IGNITION, AND THE CAR ROLLED BACKWARDS AND NEARLY HIT ME. ALL FOUR DOORS RELOCKED, THE PAWL CLICKED UNTIL IT ENGAGED AS IT ROLLED AWAY. IT JUMPED THE STREET, AND PARK ENGAGED AND IT SLID THE LAST 15 OR SO FEET. THE CAR WAS STILL RUNNING UNTIL MY WIFE REMOVED THE KEY. THE SHIFTER ASSEMBLY WAS IN PARK THE ENTIRE TIME.

I PURCHASED A TOYOTA CAMRY ON 2/17/20. TWO WEEKS LATER THE SRS AIRBAG MALFUNCTION LIGHT STARTED TO ILLUMINATE AND THE REAR SEATBELT ALARM CONTINOUSLY SOUND OFF ALERTING ME TO FASTEN SEATBELTS WHEN NO ONE WAS SITTING BACK THERE. I TRIED TAKING THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER I PURCHASED IT FROM TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON BUT WAS TOLD IT HAD TO BE TAKEN TO TOYOTA. AFTER TAKING THE VEHICLE TO TOYOTA, I FOUND OUT THE WIRING HARNESS HAD BEEN TORN AND THAT IT WOULD COST ME $4,900.00 TO FIX THE ISSUE. I WAS ALSO TOLD IF I WAS EVER IN AN ACCIDENT, THE AIRBAG MORE THAN LIKELY WOULDN'T DEPLOY. SINCE DISCOVERING THIS ISSUE, I HAVE NOT BEEN DRIVING THE VVEHICLEDUE TO THE SAFETY ISSUE.

IN AUGUST 2918, THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED FROM MCGEORGE TOYOTA OF RICHMOND, VIRGINIA. IN FEBRUARY 2019,THE AC WAS NOT COOLING. IT WAS FOUND THAT THERE WERE SEVERAL HIGH PRESSURE LEAKS. THE CONDENSER WAS REPLACED IN THE CAR AND HAS ATTEMPTED TO BE REPAIRED THREE OTHER TIMES, AS TWO OTHER TIMES THE FREON WAS FOUND TO BE LOW, AND LEAKS FROM HIGH PRESSURE LINES. AFTER THE SECOND REPAIR IN MARCH 2019, THE WIRING WAS FOUND TO BE FAULTY, WHICH IN TURN HEATED THE VENTS UP SO HOT, IT PRODUCED A MILD BURN ON MY FINGERS. WHILE DRIVING, THE TEMPERATURE OF THE AIR COMING OUT OF THE VENTS WAS EXTREMELY HOT, SO I TURNED THE BLOWER DOWN AND ATTEMPTED TO MOVE THE VENTS IN AN UPRIGHT POSITION. FURTHERMORE, THE MIRROR WAS FOUND TO BE DEFECTIVE AND A PIECE FELL OFF WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY IN JANUARY OF 2019. TODAY, ON 10/24/19, THE CAR MALFUNCTIONED WHILE IN MOTION AND IN A STATIONARY POSITION. WHEN THIS EVENT OCCURRED, IT EFFECTED POWER, STEERING, BRAKES, AIR BAGS AND SEVERAL OTHER MAJOR FUNCTIONS. I LEFT FOR WORK AND NOTICED MY CAR JUST SEEMED TO BE DRIVING ODDLY. I PULLED OFF TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON AND GET COFFEE. I TURNED THE CAR OFF, WENT INTO THE STORE. WHEN I CAME TO THE VEHICLE AND STARTED IT, I PUT IT IN REVERSE AND COULD NOT TURN THE WHEEL. NEARLY ALL OF THE WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON. I TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND LET IT SIT FOR SEVERAL MINUTES. WHEN I TURNED THE VEHICLE BACK ON, ALL OF THE LIGHTS WERE OFF AND THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO MOVE AND DRIVE NORMALLY. OVERALL, THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD SEVERAL MAJOR ISSUES WITH WIRING, ELECTRICAL, BODY AND HAS POSED A SERIOUS THREAT TO MY SAFETY. I HAVE CONTRACTED THE MANUFACTURER SEVERAL TIME AND SEVERAL ATTEMPTS HAVE BEEN MADE TO REPAIR IT; HOWEVER THE PROBLEMS ARE CONSISTENT. THE MANUFACTURER DEMONSTRATES A LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THESE DEFECTS AND HAS BEEN NOTIFIED OF THESE SAFETY CONCERNS.

THIS VEHICLE GAVE ME PROBLEMS FROM THE BEGINNING. TO BEGIN, IT BEGAN BREAKING ME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD GOING ABOUT 45-50 MPH. THIS CONTINUED TO HAPPEN AND MY TOYOTA DEALER TOLD ME THAT I WAS A LIAR. I CONTINUED TO DRIVE THE CAR, UNKNOWING WHEN IT WOULD STOP ME IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC AGAIN. IT THEN HAD ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS BECAUSE THE DASHBOARD AND RADIO WOULD GO BLACK WHILE I WAS DRIVING; MY AIR CONDITIONER WOULD STOP AS WELL. ALSO, I WAS DRIVING ON AN INTERSTATE ALONE WITH MY CRUISE CONTROL ON AND IT KEPT BREAKING ME AND TELLING ME THAT THERE WAS ANOTHER CAR IN FRONT OF ME. THIS CONTINUED FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES OF CONSTANT DRIVING (PICTURE BELOW). THE LAST THING THAT HAPPENED TO ME IN THIS CAR WAS THAT THE LANE ASSIST WOULD PULL ME OUT OF MY LANE AND INTO ANOTHER WHEN TRYING TO CORRECT BETWEEN LINES. THIS HAPPENED A FEW TIMES AND TOYOTA WOULD DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. MY MOTHER WAS DRIVING MY CAR ONE DAY ABOUT 75 MPH ON AN INTERSTATE AND IT PULLED HER OFF THE ROAD TO THE LEFT. THIS CAR GAVE ME NOTHING BUT TROUBLE SINCE PURCHASING IT BRAND NEW. MY CAR STARTED THIS TROUBLE WITHIN 5 MONTHS OF ME OWNING THE VEHICLE AND TOYOTA PROVIDED NO ASSISTANCE. I WAS VERY UPSET AND DISAPPOINTED THAT I CHOSE THIS CAR ABOVE OTHERS. I HOPE TOYOTA WILL DO THEIR JOB AND FIX THESE PROBLEMS SO ANOTHER CAMRY DRIVER MAY NOT EXPERIENCE WHAT I, UNFORTUNATELY, HAD TO.

AFTER HEAVY SNOWFALL AND SEVERAL DAYS OF NOT DRIVING, THE MOON ROOF ON MY CAMRY BROKE. IT STILL GOES UP AND DOWN AND OPENS AND CLOSES, BUT WHEN I CHOOSE TO BRING IT DOWN IT GOES TOO FAR DOWN. THIS RESULTED IN SNOW/RAIN TO ENTER MY VEHICLE.

THE CRASH DETECTOR SYSTEM STOP WORKING FOR THE FIRST 15 MINUTES OF DRIVING IT HAPPEN MULTIPLE TIMES I WAS DRIVING 40 MILE PER HOUR

3 TIMES THE COLLISION PREVENTION STOP WORKING WHILE I WAS DRIVING AT THE HIGH WAY. YOU HAVE TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND THEN TURN IT ON TO FOR THE COLLISION PREVENTION SYSTEM TO WORK AGAIN. AND THIS IS SO DANGEROUS. THE TRANSMISSION SOMETIMES GLITCH AND NOT WORKING PROPERLY AND SHIFITS LIKE CRAZY. I FEEL IT SOMETIMES THAT CAR SOUNDS NOT RIGHT BECAUSE IT SHOULD SHIFT SMOOTHLY. AIR CONDITION WHEN IT ON COLD THE FAN CAN GIVE GOOD AIR STREEM WHICH IS GOOD BUT WHEN IT ON HEAT THE FAN IS SO SLOW AND IT DOESN'T GIVE GOOD AIR STREAMING. I WAS TRYING TO FIND A WAY TO REPORT THIS TO GENERATE RECALL BUT I DIDN'T KNOW HOW UNTIL I FOUND YOUR WEBSITE.

I PURCHASED THIS CAR 08/2018 WE ARE NOW IN 10/2018 I HAVE 3K MILES ON IT AND IT RIDES ROUGH, SOUNDS LIKE AN OLD CAR, LOUD RATTLY, IT JUST KEEPS GETTING WORST TAKING THE CAR TODAY TO TOYOTA BENNETT IN ALLENTOWN PA TODAY BECAUSE WHEN MAKING COMPLETE STOPS AT A LIGHT IT JUMPS FORWARD, THE TRANSMISSION JERKS, TRANSMISSION SEEMS CONFUSED IT TAKES A LONG TIME TO PICK UP FOR EXAMPLE WHEN ENTERING A HIGHWAY AND TRYING TO CATCH UP TO SPEED TAKES LONG, AT A STOP LIGHT ALMOST GOT REAR ENDED A FEW TIMES CAUSE THE CAR JUST WONT MOVE QUICK ENOUGH.

VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH BLIND SPOT DETECTION SYSTEM. HOWEVER, SYSTEM STAYS ON SEVERAL TIMES EVEN IF THE VEHICLE IN BLIND SPOT PASSES AWAY, ALERT STILL STAYS ON CREATING CONFUSION AND POTENTIAL HAZARD DURING LANE CHANGING. I HAVE RECORDED VIDEO PROOF OF THE SAME.

I WAS DRIVING MY CAR ON A SECONDARY ROAD AND WARNING LIGHTS STARTED GOING OFF AT THE SAME TIME(ABS,PRECOLLISION WARNING, ENGINE LIGHT,ETC.) MY HUSBAND DROVE IT TO THE LOCAL TOYOTA DEALERSHIP. THE TOYOTA SERVICE REP ADVISES ME THAT THE ENGINE WIRES HAVE BEEN CHEWED BY RODENTS. HE ALSO ADVISES ME THAT THIS IS NOT A TOYOTA PROBLEM SO MY BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY WOULD NOT COVER IT. HE ADVISED MY AUTO INSURANCE WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR IT. THE PROBLEM IS A TOYOTA PROBLEM. THEY HAVE STARTED USING PLANT-BASED MATERIAL TO COVER THE WIRING WHICH ATTRACTS RODENTS. THERE IS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT, BUT NOT FOR MY MODEL OF CAR. ALSO, THIS IS GOING TO GET SOMEONE KILLED, BECAUSE YOU CAN'T HARDLY KEEP THE CAR ON THE ROAD AFTER IT HAPPENS. I DON'T HAVE ANY PAPERWORK YET, BECAUSE MY CAR IS STILL AT THE DEALERSHIP.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 TOYOTA CAMRY. UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE, THE TRACTION AND CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. ALSO, WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, THE VEHICLE STARTED SHAKING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DARCARS 355 TOYOTA ROCKVILLE (15625 FREDERICK RD, ROCKVILLE, MD 20855 (301) 340-0900) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT RODENTS CHEWED THROUGH THE INSULATION AND WIRING, WHICH NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE CONTACT RESEARCHED THE FAILURE ONLINE AND FOUND THAT A SOY-BASED PRODUCT WAS USED IN MAKING THE INSULATION AND WIRING, WHICH COULD ATTRACT RODENTS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 700.
