2018 TOYOTA CAMRY Fuel/propulsion System Problems

Car stalled while driving and needed to be towed to dealership. Dealership confirmed that there was coolant intrusion into the engine that clogged the fuel injector causing the car to stall while driving. Dealership informed us that car will need a new engine and transmission because of the coolant intrusion. The car stalled while driving and could have led to an accident or loss of life depending on where the car stalled and when. This coolant intrusion has been confirmed by the dealership and shown to us via video they took. The vehicle has only been inspected by the dealership and we called Toyota corp to have then review this as a safety issue. They informed us the call stalling was not a safety issue. UNKNOWN on confirmed symptoms prior.

While driving the car, the engine shut down in traffic, and the engine light came on . We took the vehicle in for a flow shut off valve issue (customer support program) and found out that the flow shut-off valve issue resulted in damage to the water pump. We were responsible for the replacement of the water pump, which the program did not cover.

I have a purge valve issue when filling my tank my check engine light comes I smell gas and the engine jerks I have take. It for repair 3 times and they have replaced it but still the same issue occurs when I fill my tank.

I had to take my vehicle to Toyota bc it failed to start. There was an error code that of coolant issue error code and this was reported to the dealership they said that wasn’t the issue and my wires were chewed however I see that there actually is a history of issues with that incident and I wonder if I was given incorrect diagnosis from dealership this costed thousands of dollars from my insurance company and me to fix. Since repair my vehicle has not been the same .

I keep getting error code P0304 which says its cylinder 4 misfire the engine starts shaking a bit and most of the warning lights in my dashboard turn on and it disables the parking brake , I took it to a shop and they took out the fuel injectors to visualy inspect them and moved injector 4 to a different cylinder but the same error keeps coming back cylinder 4 misfire , I keep having to spend money and still have the same issue. It only does it on a cold start .

The car first stalled ,then the it shut off ,and the car did not start. The car has almost half tank of gas. So I was doing My research on line. And saw 3 recalls and one of them was the fuel pump system for my 2018 camry LE.

There was a recall in 2022 for the fuel pump. The fuel pump was replaced by a local dealership in North Charleston, South Carolina. In December, the engine light of my 2018 Toyota Camry came on. It was diagnosed that the fuel pump needs to be replaced. I have appointment scheduled for this Thursday, February 20 at the local dealership for them, too diagnose and replace.

multiple issues with radar sensors- disable parking assist, lane assist and rear traffic sensors due to constant malfunctioning - battery has been replaced twice within the past 6 months - vacuum pump for automatic break assist replaced APRIL 2024 - automatic brake assist failed while on vacation and car had to be driven without assisted breaks from New Orleans to Jackson MS for repair - car can only be driven in SPORT MODE otherwise there is concerning jerking and rough gear change and acceleration lag, this issue has been addressed since the date of purchase but no serious concerns expressed by maintenance professionals. Car has been having major issues now since approximately MID TO LATEJULY 2024 MORE ISSUES BEGAN - ROUGH, FLUXUATING IDLE while parked and while driving - BATTERY REPLACED, AIR FILTER REPLACED, SPARK PLUGS REPLACED, O2 SENSORS (BOTH) REPLACED, THROTTLE BODY REPLACED, IDLE AIR CONTROL SENSOR REPLACED; ALL JUST OVER THE COURSE OF 4 MONTHS- car sputters and rattles after getting gas - has died after being gassed up 3 separate times since AUGUST 2024- MAF SENSOR was the last part considered the potential culprit- order replacement and installed, check engine light immediately came on after installation PO607 ECM- Removed NEW MAF SENSOR and REINSTALLED OLD ONE- CODE WAS ABLE TO BE CLEARED- WAITING ON ANOTHER REPLACEMENT MAF SENSOR- TOO many codes have been thrown too list here but all parts have been replaced to "fix" the issues without success. Car stalls at redlights and stop signed. Sputters and idles erratically after filling with gas. Idle fluctuates when in park. Car has been well maintained and is my daily driver. I have 3 children and have been stranded at gas stations twice with [XXX] in generally unsafe locations during evening hours since AUGUST. About a month ago my daughter left the toyota dealership in Bradenton fl. after an oil change. She drove several hundred feet, the car stalled and she couldn't start it. The mechanic crew had to push it back into the service area, after been there for 2 days they found no problem, Just last Monday [XXX] she filled the car up at a gas station, as she was leaving the car stalled again and she couldn't start it, the car was towed back to same dealership, they could find a problem after being there another 2 days. On hot days, fuel vapor escapes from the gas tank's filler pipe and condenses and pools inside the fuel access door. The area around the car smells of gas. Sometimes it runs down the side of the car and drips on the ground. This has ruined the paint. We can't put the car in the garage because of the smell, and we are concerned that in an accident there could be a fire. We don't know what part has failed. Toyota installed an upgraded gas cap, but leak is still happening. The safety risks are breathing of gas fumes in and around the car, and the increased risk of fire in an accident. We kept a detailed log of the conditions under which this happens, and shared the log and also video recordings with Freeman Toyota near us in Santa Rosa California. We left the car with them for two hot days (XXX 2024) and they were able to reproduce the problem. The leakage is noticeable only in hot weather, so we first observed the problem in the summer of 2020. Turned on the car Drove about 30 seconds and car states that secondary pre collision emergency brake and it just stops on a busy street With no other signs of defect ever . My vehicle goes to the dealership constantly and is very well taken care of

I all of a sudden started smellinggas but could not find any leaking underneath the car, also my car started giving lower mileage. Called the extended warranty and submitted the car to Firestone auto care. They ran a fuel system inspection and found leak. They removed and replaced the the fuel line and fuel pump. They said the can was at risk of catching fire and this is unusual

The fuel door release mechanical system has not been working since the car was purchased. The fuel door release mechanical system has very flimsy parts. I believe that this model and year also had a recall on the fuel pump because of a flimsy part as well.

Since we bought the vehicle new in late 2018, in hot weather we sometimes see gas running down the side of the car below the filler pipe door, and a little puddle of gas on the rubber just inside the filler pipe door. We can't park the car in our garage because of the gas fumes, and we worry that in a collision, the underlying cause could make a fire more likely. We've had the car to the dealer service department and they can't find a cause. I know from a www search that other Camry owners have had the same problem. The dealership wants us to leave the car with them long enough for them to observe the problem, but we can't handle the financial risk of the service and the car rental while our car is at the garage being monitored for the problem. And of course it is a waste of time trying to get Toyota to take responsibility, which is why we're writing to you. The date entered in this submission is the first time we noticed it (it was the first hot weather since we bought the car).

Car does not accelerate from stop at a traffic light intermittently. THis poses a risk/hazard as the car behind it closes on it and expects the car to move forward . The vehicle was recalled a year ago for a fuel pump that was supposed to cause the same issue. Its been replaced and the issue has shown up again and now cannot be reproduced by the manufacturer.

My vehicle is displaying a low break message and is telling me to park for safety. However, the vehicle is not movable from my garage.

The a25a-fks engine fails to idle properly and will stall at times due to a cylinder imbalance. ICS malfunction light comes on as well. This puts other people at risk because a vehicle stalling or malfunction of the Toyota Safety Sense system can lead to car accident. Vehicle was taken to two independent mechanics and couldn’t find the root of the problem. Was told to go to a Toyota Dealership. A Toyota dealership inspected the vehicle, done several tests, swapped computer modules and couldn’t find the cause. The dealership replaced fuel injectors, fuel pump and had done a cleaning on the intake and the vehicle still had the trouble code. 4K worth of work and the vehicle still persisted with the issue. What I first noticed from the car was an odd knocking noise when starting the car, followed by excessive white smoke at idle, parking sensors not working, the car improperly starting for the first time followed by a ICS Malfunction, blinking parking sensor icon and check engine light. Code: P219C. The dealership wants to charge me 10K to take the engine apart to either replace a faulty part (within the engine) or putting in a new engine all together. Several recalls for Toyota Camrys from 2018 and 2020 have sighted defects with the engine blocks causing white smoke and stalling. These recalls should be extended to more manufacturing months as this is a noticeable flaw.

Fuel\propulsion system, There was no power given to the engine when I turned a corner with an exorbitant amount of time. There was a car at least 100 yards away. When I put my foot on the gas pedal there was no power. It felt like the car did not switch gears for the fuel pump or Pistons just were not working correctly. The car almost rear-ended me and caused a major accident. This has happened multiple times.

For the past few months I have experienced a sudden loss of power while driving on the freeway and/or while attempting to accelerate. The car will stall, lose power, the engine will rev but not propel the car. I took my vehicle to the dealership twice before they acknowledged that there was an active recall and kept my vehicle for 2 months before calling me and telling me my car was fixed and returning it to me. I drove the car for about a month before it started doing the exact same thing and suddenly losing power as I was driving on the freeway. I took it back to the dealership and was told that the recall part they fixed (that took 2 months) was for safety recall #21TA09 "Sudden loss of power braking assist" and that the Toyota 2018-19 fuel pump defect recall #20TA02 announced in January of 2020 and ultimately effecting approximately 3.34 million vehicles did not apply to my specific VIN # even though it applies to the year, make, model and issue that I am having. This is a serious safety issue and I am gravely concerned about my own safety and that of any potential passengers I may have in my vehicle. I would like to know what criteria would be necessary to have equitable application of the recall extended to my vehicle (VIN #).

Blank spots in gas pedal

Since I brought this car at dealer shop June 1 2021 and I’m about a month went to repair vacuum pump which paid to the mechanic after that check engine light came out little by little start to have more problem until October 1st 2021 stop working doesn’t run no more couldn’t do nothing at all it does start but doesn’t run when the car is Lyft up the wheel kinda runs little bit but putting on D and wheel goes reverse and putting on R the wheel doesn’t run nothing at all. Spoke with dealer shop manger all he say don’t call me here no more hung up. I tow car to toyota dealer all they say is seven grand to have transmission fix which its not transmission at all the scanner says transmission pass please help me now my car is been repo and because I didn’t pay payment for what because car is not working and running I don’t have money or job without car my life is done I need this car back asap please

We have owned this vehicle since new. Fuel leaks out of the fuel cap when the car is parked overnight. It doesn't matter if the Fuel tank is full or not. When I push the fuel door release button in the car I can hear fuel flowing back to the tank. The leak does not always happen. But it has been happening for at least 2 years. I discussed this with the Toyota dealer and they said it would be $140.00 an hour to look at it. I feel that the fuel pipe and fuel cap are both emission items and should be covered. I also feel this is a possible fire hazard if it starts to leak worse. I have noticed several other people posting this identical problem on line, so I am not imagining things. Its easy for you or Toyota to say take it too your dealer. The way things are going today with shortages of parts and lack of personnel I am nervous about multiple dealer visits before the problems as found

Auto stalls at lower speeds(10 to 30 mph) when accelerating from a stop. After slowing as when entering a parking lot or making a turn, and then attempting to accelerate it stalls temporarily, maybe half a minute or so then accelerates like mad. Danger of cars behind me expecting me to proceed and I am unable to do so. Have requested toyoto dealer to check and as this is infrequent he can not confirm or fix. Same problem has been fixed by Toyota on other 2018 Camry by recall. My car has not been recalled.

I bought a 2018 Toyota Camry XLE in May 2020. One week after purchase, the vehicle stalled minutes after putting gas. The Check Malfunction Indicator Lamp came on, and the vehicle shut off. The vehicle turned on again after approximately 30 minutes. Eight months later I received a recall notice regarding a fuel pump malfunction. Toyota replaced the low-pressure fuel pump in March 2021. In early November 2021, the same Malfunction Indicator Lamp turned on and the car shut off. I restarted the vehicle and it turned back on. On November 30, 2021, I put gas in the vehicle, and after approximately 5 minutes of driving the Malfunction Indicator Lamp turned on and the vehicle stalled. The vehicle wouldn't turn back on until 20 minutes later. The vehicle was taken in for inspection, but no issues were found. The same Malfunction Indicator Lamp and vehicle stalling continue to occur.

My car started to have issues while driving, especially when I slow down. It wants to die while I’m driving or waiting for traffic so I can turn or entering roundabouts. I recently waited for traffic and found myself turning in front of a semi. I had plenty of time, but through my turn realized that if my car had died that semi would have hit me at 45 mph. There are 2 lights on, check engine and master warning light. I have tried to have the issue fixed twice already and it was better for about 20 miles and then I have the same issue. These issues seem identical to the ones as described in the recalls for the same year make and model of my vehicle, but my specific vin is not part of the recall. I am concerned it is also part of the same issue. (It seems to have the same symptoms as the recall for the fuel pump issue or the incorrect sized pistons)

TOYOTA needs to amend their vehicle specs. The actual mileage on the car after my 4.5 years of ownership was TOTALLY different than what was claimed. Upon purchase I was able to achieve 44 mpg, and when fueling completely the remaining distance on the display read about 400 miles. Now I can only achieve 22 mpg and when fueling vehicle completely it now reads 320 miles remaining. This is a LIE and must be admitted by Toyota that it is a grim underestimate. Driver habit has nothing to do with this, I am a very careful (almost slow) driver and the fact that mileage varies this much after a few years of ownership makes no sense. I am dreading the day that this will eventually read 15 mpg on the display. At that point I am definitely selling this car and looking to another brand like Lexus. It is truly ironic how my dad owns a 2015 Tundra that still works like a pro and is able to achieve around 15 mpg consistently even after 7 years of ownership, and my mom's 2019 Sienna is now starting to struggle reaching 17 mpg after just a few years of driving. TOYOTA needs to seriously start concentrating more on vehicle/mechanism reliability instead of trying to install a million safety features (which I find for the most part unnecessary) like every other car manufacturer. What happened to the reliability that was there nearly 10 years ago? It's a shame because I am really trying to love my car and do whatever I can do make sure that it is running smoothly always but my efforts seem to be in vain all the time. My car has other issues as well besides this and at this point it's hard to believe that it will still be functioning great for another 10 years.

In dealer 2 different dealers for 2 computer failures 2x. So called repaired. Car hits the brakes by itself there is no way to turn off the radar on the front of the car. You have to remember to turn it off everytime you drive it. Then the gas pedal and brakes failed. The tow truck guy said just disconnect the battery for 15 minutes to re-set the Ecu. Well he did and I had to retrain the car how to shift over several days. Good thing the failure occured at 30mph. I am selling this. I have owned Camry's since the 90's and im afraid to drive this and bought another car. Contact the next owner. Selling it as is.........

ON 9/29/18, I LEASED A TOYOTA CAMRY HYBRID FROM SMITHTOWN TOYOTA. BEGINNING WITHIN THE FIRST FEW MONTH OF HAVING THE CAR, ON MULTIPLE, RANDOM OCCASIONS GASOLINE LEAKED OUT OF MY GAS TANK DOWN THE SIDE OF MY CAR. IT TENDS TO BE WHEN THE CAR HAS BEEN SITTING FOR A PERIOD OF TIME - AFTER WORK, WHEN IT HAD BEEN SITTING FOR >8 HOURS, WHEN I RETURNED HOME FROM A WEEK VACATION, AND OTHER TIMES WHEN IT HAD BEEN SITTING OVERNIGHT IN MY DRIVEWAY. I WOULD SMELL A POWERFUL ODOR OF GASOLINE WHEN I APPROACHED THE CAR, WHICH IS WHAT WOULD MAKE ME CHECK THE GAS TANK AREA. SEVERAL TIMES, I WITNESSED THE GASOLINE RUNNING DOWN THE SIDE OF MY CAR. IN ALL CASES THERE WERE GASOLINE STAINS ON THE PAVEMENT UNDER THE GAS TANK. AND THE SIDE OF MY WHITE CAR HAS A PERMANENT YELLOW STREAK DOWN THE SIDE FROM THE LEAKING GAS. I BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALERSHIP 3 TIMES TO HAVE THEM DIAGNOSE IT, BUT THEY SAID THERE IS NO WAY IT COULD BE HAPPENING WITHOUT THE WARNING LIGHT GOING ON ON THE DASHBOARD BECAUSE IT IS A CLOSED SYSTEM. THEY SAID I MUST BE OVERFILLING MY GAS TANK OR NOT TIGHTENING THE GAS CAP ENOUGH. I HAVE PICTURES OF THE GAS LEAKING OUT AFTER THE CAR SAT OVERNIGHT, AND I HAD ALREADY DRIVEN 120 MILES SINCE MY LAST FILL UP. EVEN AFTER I SHOWED THE PICTURES TO THE SERVICE MANAGER, HE STILL SAID IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE THAT IT WAS HAPPENING. FINALLY, I CALLED TOYOTA'S CORPORATE LINE AND REPORTED IT. BUT THEY SAID IT WAS FROM WEAR-AND-TEAR FROM FILLING THE GAS TANK, NOT A MANUFACTURER DEFECT (EVEN THOUGH THE CAR HAD <6000 MILES ON IT WHEN THE LEAK WAS DETECTED). THERE IS A RECALL FOR 2018 TOYOTA CAMRY HYBRIDS (J0G) FOR "FUEL DELIVERY PIPES THAT MAY NOT BE PROPERLY CONNECTED TO THE FUEL HOSES IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT". VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED IN OCTOBER 2017,WITHIN THE FIRST WEEK THE BECAME NOTICEABLY LOUDER. INITIALLY WE THOUGHT THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED TO BE WARNED UP. HOWEVER THE VEHICLE REMAINS IN HIGH IDLE MODE FOR LONG PERIOD OF TIME AS THOUGH THE THROTTLE IS STICKING. WHEN VEHICLE IS NOT IN USE, IF RESTARTED WITHIN 5-10 MINUTES THE RESPONDS THE SAME AS BEFORE VERY HIGH IDLING AND SOUNDS AS THOUGH IT HAS NO OIL GETTING TO THE ENGINE(VALVETRAIN). CAR TAKES SEVERAL MOMENTS TO ACCELERATE WHILE THE PEDAL IS VERY STIFF AND THE RPM'S DOES NOT MATCH THE ACCELERATION TIME. FEELS LIKE THE BRAKES STICK WHEN YOU COME TO A COMPLETE STOP. DRIVING ON HIGHWAY CAR TENDS TO PICKUP ON POWER ITSELF WHILE WITHIN THE NEXT FEW MINUTES LOSING POWER AGAIN. WHEN EXITING THE HIGHWAY TO START CITY SPEED LIMITS AFTER TAKING OFF FROM A STOP THE RPM'S INCREASE HOWEVER CAR DOESN'T MOVE AT DESIRED SPEED(DRAGS). ENGINE SOUNDS LIKE THERE IS METAL RUNNING THROUGH IT AS WELL AS THE SOUNDS IT MAKES WHILE IDLING. TICKING.SHAKING,KNOCKING ALL AT ONCE. I HAVE A VIDEO OF THE ENGINE NOISE AND THE WAY IT SHAKES BUT YOUR ATTACHMENT ONLY ALLOWS FOR 5MB AND THE VIDEO HAS MORE THAN 5MB. THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES REGARDING THIS SPECIFIC ISSUE HOWEVER THE RESPONSE WAS ALWAYS WE COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING AND VEHICLE EITHER NEEDS A LIGHT ON OR NEEDS TO BE CURRENTLY SHOWING THE PROBLEM RIGHT THEN. THEY EVEN COMPARED IT TO OTHER CAMRY'S TO MAKE SURE THEY SAID BUT THE CAR WAS STILL DOING THE SAME SYMPTOMS WHILE WE WERE THERE AND AS WE LEFT. THE VEHICLE IS SOUNDING FAR WORSE THAN IT WAS FROM NOVEMBER 2017- TO THIS CURRENT DAY AND DOESN'T SEEM TO BE DRIVING ANY BETTER AND IT'S BEGINNING TO FEEL UNSAFE. ALSO THE VIDEO I HAVE WILL NOT ATTACH TO YOUR FORMATS. IT'S ONLY ALLOWING PHOTOS.

ALTHOUGH THERE ISN'T AN ACTIVE RECALL ON MY CAR, I THINK THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE FUEL PUMP.

AT FREEWAY SPEEDS IT TENDS TO DO BETTER, BUT MOST ISSUES APPEAR TO BE IN CITY DAY TO DAY DRIVING FROM THE TRANSMISSION/ OR FUEL SYSTEM.

IT WAS MUCH MORE AUDIBLE WHEN THE HOOD WAS RAISED, AND IT STOPPED AFTER APPROXIMATELY 30 SECONDS WITH ONLY A FAMILIAR TICKING SOUND OF THE 4 CYLNDER ENGINE ONCE IT STOPPED 2). MOST IMPORTANT - DURING ACCELERATION FROM A STOP, THE VEHICLE SEEMED TO BOGG DOWN, AND FEEL LIKE THE FUEL WAS NOT FEEDING PROPERLY, OR THE TRANSMISSION WAS SLIPPING. ONCE THE VEHICLE REACHED 15 MPH OR SO, IT SEEMED TO DRIVE NORMAL. I DID NOT HAVE A CHANCE TO DRIVE ON THE FREEWAY, ONLY CITY STREETS. THE ACCELERATION SHOULD BE OF MAJOR CONCERN.

IT CAN'T SEEM TO PICK A GEAR, LEAVING THE VEHICLE STALLED BRIEFLY, WHILE THE ACCELERATOR IS DEPRESSED. ONCE, AT A LARGE INTERSECTION, IN A HIGH TRAFFIC AREA, FROM A STOP, I ATTEMPTED A RIGHT TURN. THE CAR STALLED, WHILE I DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR, CAUSING A MILD PANIC, AS I WAS CONFRONTED WITH AN 18 WHEELER ATTEMPTING TO TURN INTO MY LANE. THE CAR EVENTUALLY ACCELERATED, GETTING ME OUT OF THE WAY, IN A HARRIED AND FRUSTRATED HUFF AT THE POOR PERFORMANCE OF THIS NEW CAR. THE TRANSMISSION DOES NOT MIS-PERFORM UPON EVERY SINGLE SHIFT OF THE GEARS, BUT THERE WILL BE MIS-PERFORMANCE OCCURRING ON EVERY SINGLE TRIP TAKEN IN THE CAR.

I HAVE HAD CONSTANT PROBLEMS WITH MY 2018 CAMRY SINCE PURCHASING MAY 2018. MY CAR IS ALWAYS JERKING AS I ACCELERATE AND WHEN I'M DRIVING IN TOWN, FEELS LIKE I'M GETTING REAR-ENDED AND HESITATING ON HIGHWAY WHEN I HAVE TO ACCELERATE INTO TRAIFFIC WHICH IS VERY DANGEROUS WHEN THE CAR WON'T GET UP AND GO. I HAVE HAD IT TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES. THEY RESET THE COMPUTER BECAUSE IT CAN SAVE SETTINGS FROM PREVIOUS DRIVERS. THAT DIDN'T HELP. THEY TOLD ME THAT IT'S A DIFFERENT TRANSMISSION AND IT TAKES FEW SECONDS FOR THE COMPUTER TO COMMUNICATE BACK TO TRANSMISSION. THIS IS A VERY UNSAFE FEATURE. THE CAR IS SUPER LOUD AND ROUGH FEELING WITH THE TIRES. I FEEL LIKE I'M DRIVING AN OLD VEHICLE FROM THE 80'S. THE ENTUNE APP HAS CONSTANT ISSUES OF NOT LOADING OR RECOGNIZING MY PHONE. TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT COMES ON ALL THE TIME AND PRESSURE TESTS FINE AT DEALER. MAINTENANCE LIGHT COMES ON EVERY 5000 MILES FOR TIRE CHECK AND OIL ONLY NEEDS CHANGED 10000. MAINTENANCE LIGHT SHOULD BE SEPARATE FROM OIL CHANGE SO YOU KNOW WHICH ONE NEEDS DONE.

(HYBRID MOD) WHILE TRAVELING ON AN INTERSTATE IN MAY , THE RT REAR TIRE BLEW OUT(ODO 7,000). SEEMED TO BE NO REASON, IT JUST BLEW OUT. THEN IN JULY, AGAIN ON AN INTERSTATE, THE LT REAR TIRE BLEW(ODO 12,000). ONCE AGAIN, NO REASON, JUST BLEW OUT. WE WE'RE TOLD BY FIRESTONE THAT THE TIRES ON MY VEHICLE HAVE BEEN DISCONTINUED & I CAN NOT DO A WARRANTY CLAIM BECAUSE I DID NOT PURCHASE THE TIRES FROM THEM, TOYOTA DID SO TOYOTA HAS TO DO THE CLAIM. TOYOTA TELLS ME THEY DO NOT WARRANTY TIRES, FIRESTONE DOES & I HAVE TO GO THROUGH FIRSETONE FOR WARRANTY CLAIM. NO ONE SEEMS TO WANT TO ADDRESS THE FACT THAT THERE ARE STILL 2 MORE TIRES (ON THE FRONT) THAT COULD STILL BLOW OUT & CAUSE ME TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT. DEALER TOLD ME THEY COULDN'T HELP BECAUSE I DIDN'T KEEP THE TIRES TO SHOW THEY WERE DEFECTIVE. THE BRAKES HAVE ALWAYS BEEN OVERLY SENSITIVE. THE CAR THEN STARTED BRAKING (THE COLLISION SAFETY FEATURE) WHEN THERE ARE NO OTHER VEHICLES, PEOPLE, ANIMALS,ETC IN SIGHT. IT HAS HAPPENED ON HIGHWAYS, CITY STREETS, STRAIGHT ROADS, IN CURVES,SUNNY DAYS, RAINY DAYS,ETC. THE VEHICLE RANDOMLY DECIDES TO ENGAGE THE BRAKING SAFETY SYSTEM WHEN IT SHOULD NOT. ALL THE DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE COULD OFFER AS A SUGGESTION WAS TO TURN THAT FEATURE OFF! AS IF ALL THAT WASN'T ENOUGH, WHILE BACKING UP & COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP (BUT STILL IN REVERSE) THE CAR LUNGED BACK ANOTHER FOOT OR BETTER CAUSING ME TO COLLIDE WITH A BASKETBALL POLE IN MY DRIVEWAY. AFTER THAT, WHEN I PUMP FUEL NIW I HAVE TO HOLD THE HANDLE SO IT DOESN'T TOUCH OR LEAN AGAINST THE BOTTOM PART OF THE NECK HOLE. OTHERWISE, ANY FUEL YOU TRY TO PUT IN IT WILL FLOW RIGHT BACK OUT & RUN DOWN THE CAR TO THE GROUND. I HAVE REPEATEDLY ASKED DEALER TO DEAL WITH THESE ISSUES & TOLD THEM I DON'T FEEL LIKE ITHE VEHICLE IS SAFE AT THIS POINT. AFTER MONTHS OF RUN AROUND & NOT RETURNING MY CALLS, DEALER REFERRED ME TO TOYOTA TODAY.
