After coming to a complete stop the throttle does not respond when it is time to move off. After pressing the gas pedal the car will not move forward and the motor does not respond as if it is getting any signal to move off. This happens intermittently and the dealership was not able to recreate after first reporting this issue. No warning indicators present the past 8 times this as occurred.
Component(s) Involved: Front and rear subframe/crossmember, driveline (CV axles, differential), stability and traction control system (including yaw sensor, steering angle sensor, and Accessory Gateway ECU). Available for Inspection: Yes. The vehicle is available for inspection, and I have detailed photographs, video, screenshots, diagnostic scan reports, and live data logs documenting the issue. How Safety Was Put at Risk: The vehicle experiences severe vibration, uneven wheel acceleration, and deactivation of traction and stability control. This compromises braking, emergency handling, and overall stability — especially dangerous in rain, snow, or during evasive maneuvers. The alignment of the rear differential and axles is visibly off-center, indicating a shifted or bent subframe. These defects pose a risk of driveline damage or failure while driving. Was the Problem Confirmed by a Service Center? Yes, multiple Toyota dealerships and independent shops confirmed symptoms including vibration, tire wear, and diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). However, no dealership has acknowledged or addressed the underlying subframe misalignment or driveline distortion. Some attempted to blame scan tools (Moses), while others dismissed the vehicle as “safe to drive” despite active faults (L&S Toyota) Has It Been Inspected by Manufacturer/Police/Insurance? It has been seen by manufacturer-affiliated dealers and independent mechanics, but not formally by Toyota Corporate or insurance. The prior owner also reported similar problems under warranty, indicating these issues existed before resale. --- Warning Lamps or Symptoms Before Failure: Yes. And no. Issues appeared immediately after purchase and include: “Smart Key Not Detected” error Traction Control, VSC, and ABS warning lights TPMS malfunction warning Sudden clunks from rear suspension Irregular tire wear DTCs like U1117, U0140, U0115 AND MORE indicating network and stability system failures (Email for more.)
This 2023 was bought brand new and has been driven for 2.5 years. At just over 60000 miles the transmission failed. I have had this car serviced regularly with no indications or warnings of any problems until it just stopped shifting normally one day. Took it to toyota and they ran a diagnostic indeed stating the transmission has to be replaced entirely. And because I am just over 60000 miles they will not honor a warranty on it. Transmissions should not go out at 62000 miles. This is a defect.
There is a defect on my front panoramic sunroof panel. The glass is too thin and the stress and tension caused the glass to break and shatter. No object struck the sunroof.
My 2023 Camry has 'floormat-hold-down-clips' on the drivers side only. The passenger side has none and without them it allows the mat to roll up. Aside from being annoying, it is also a tripping hazard. My wife and I are both in our mid seventies and broken bones are a real concern. I contacted Toyota customer service and their solution was NOT to anchor the loose floor mat down but to give me a replacement mat ----fixing nothing.
The smart stop system, the vehicle stability control system, the electrical power steering system, the blind spot monitoring system, the secondary collision brake system, and the lane keeping assistance all malfunctioned while traveling home one night. My made a really loud continuous beeping sound as I was driving the vehicle sensed it was departing its lane and the lane keeping assistance over steered left. This caused my vehicle to scrape the curb, causing cosmetic damage, mess up the wheel alignment , and crack front drivers side rim, because I physically tried to turn away to prevent any impact with the curb. I also had this vehicle stop in the middle of the road MULTIPLE TIMES DETECTING an object or obstruction was in the road when nothing was there! This almost caused rear end collisions multiple times when it happened. I actually turned this feature down to the lowest possible setting to prevent it from happening. If you are asking is it available for inspection by me it is not. This vehicle had an extremely high monthly car note. Once I took it to the dealership for inspection, they were not willing to honor my new car warranty. Even though I brought this car with 10 miles on the odometer. The dealership was negligent, & as was Toyota corporation. when I called to have it inspected and got their upper management involved. They sent out a 3rd party inspector to look at my car at Jerry’s Toyota inc, located in Baltimore Maryland where it was purchased. Upon inspection nothing was said or noted at all about any of the malfunctioned systems to my vehicle, they used it having exterior damage from impacting the curb to say, the problem was my fault & to get insurance to fix it because it’s not their problem. Yes my safety and other safety were put at risk because of this vehicle. Yes it was inspected by a 3rd party inspector Toyota hired to look at the vehicle. It has since been repossessed because I could not drive it safely. No their were no warning lamps prior
MY CAR WAS VANDALIZED IN ARIZONA SOMEONE DAMAGED MY DRIVER FRONT DOOR AND PASSANGER FRONT DOOR WHILE I WAS ON THE FREEWAY I HEARD A LOUD NOISE AND MY MOONROOF STARTED MAKING A CRACKLING NOISE I GOT OFF AND THE ENTIRE THING WAS CRACKED, I THOUGHT MAYBE IT WAS VANDALIZED AS WELL AND I DIDNT NOTICE BUT AS IM READING ABOUT IT SOUND LIKE IT MAYBE A MOONROOF ISSUE. I HAD IT REPLACED AND NOW IT IS LEAKING AND TOYOTA REFUSES TO REPAIR IT
I noticed water in my car , mostly on the passenger side ( rear about 1/2 of water ) smell . Under all floor mats but mostly the rear passenger floor . I was told later 3/5/24, that’s it’s the evaporator tube . It is clogged by Spider webs and has caused extensive damage and mold in my car. It’s about $16,329.00 of damages.
When it rains and when I have my car wash. Water appears on the right side rear passenger floor. About 1/2 inch. The first time I reported hearing water and brought the car to Manhattan Beach Toyota. I was told they did not find anything. When I had my car washed the next few times I lifted up the rear passenger fllor mat and noticed the area was soaking wet. . I brought the 2023 Camry to the dealership on 3/4/24. To have it checked. I'm waiting to hear the results if the findings over the next day or two. I bought the car 7/19/23 a used with 2629 miles and it now has 8098 miles. .
The 8 speed transmission sometimes hard shifts to a different gear randomly. Happened total of 4 times while cruising. During Low speed, when press the gas let go and gas immediately again causes the car to jerk and the transmission shifts hard in stop and go traffic. The transmission also making the engine rpm fluctuate when applying gas every time. rpm would go up then drops back down when gas is applied. All this happened with in the time ive owned it. Had the dealer check it out. But the technician said there isn't anything wrong with it. But the jerky transmission says otherwise. also the car hunts for gears when using cruise control. Thats a problem because it cant figure out what gear it wants to be in. It would continue until i turn off adaptive cruise control. I happens a few times not too often.
I am filing a complaint regarding the quality of cars manufactured by Toyota, which I believe poses a risk to drivers' lives. I recently bought a new 2023 Toyota Camry LE AWD from a dealer in Kansas Throughout my life, I have driven numerous cars, but I have never felt as unsafe and fearful as each time I drive this car and feel I don't know whether I will be able to return home safely or not. This situation has led me to believe that Toyota prioritizes profit over people's safety. Here are all the issues I have encountered: ISSUE 1: Vehicle Stability 1. The primary issue I am encountering is the car's tendency to skid when driving above 60 mph, despite keeping the VSC turned on at all times. It becomes challenging to maintain a straight path as the vehicle tends to slip. 2. Through my research on Google, I discovered that Toyota has issued numerous recalls for 2022 models due to VSC/ESC software glitches.I am uncertain whether the problems with my car are a result of a VSC/ESC software glitch or if there is a fault with the any other mechanical system. ISSUE 2: Very High WIND Noise 1. When driving above 40 mph, I experience excessive wind noise inside the car, which creates the sensation of a severe windstorm. This noise is quite loud while driving and causing a feeling of fear and it will damage my ear if I drive with high wind noise for long time. ISSUE 3 : Fraudulent Dealer 1. After facing above mentioned two issues, I took the car to the same dealer but instead of conducting a thorough diagnosis, a technician simply drove the car locally for a few minutes and hastily concluded that "everything is fine." ISSUE 4 : TOYTA IS NOT RESPONDING I have sent 3 emails to the CEO of Toyota-US and Toyota Japan. However, I have not received any replies from either of them. This lack of response from top-level executives suggests that either Toyota is aware of the problems but wants to hide them, or they are unwilling to take responsibility for the safety of their cars.
The lane keeping assistance wants pull me into the wrong lane
