ACCORDING TO YOU, I HAVE BEEN DRIVING A KILLER CAR SINCE 2013. CONTACTING MY LOCAL TOYOTA DEALER, SEVERAL TIMES AND BRING IN MY VEHICLE FOR REPAIR HAS FAILED. YOU REGRET ANY INCONVENIENCE? ON JULY OF 1999, I WAS DRIVING MY 1993 TOYOTO COROLLA WHEN I WAS RUN OFF THE ROAD BY ANOTHER DRIVER, THUS CAUSING ME TO HIT A GUARD RAIL ,AND THE CEMENT HIGHWAY DIVIDER, MY AIR BAG DEPLOYED AND MY PASSENGER RECEIVED PERMANENT DAMAGE TO HIS FINGER, I RECEIVED BURNS ON MY STOMACH, ARMS AND 5 FRACTURED RIBS, ALSO WHEN THE AIR BAG DEPLOYED THE PLASTIC FROM THE STEERING COLUMN FLEW OFF CUT ME IN MY LIP, CAUSING PERMANENT DAMAGE. I ALSO RECEIVED SEVERE BRUSING AND PERMANENT NERVE DAMAGE IN MY CHEST . MY CAR HAD NO WARNING SIGNS ABOUT THE DANGER OF THE AIR BAG, AND I ALONG WITH MY PASSENGER WAS WEARING A SEAT BELT. I RETAINED A LAWYER AND I WROTE TOYOTA AND TO THIS DATE NO ONE RESPONDED, I JUST FOUND YOUR WEBSITE TODAY. I ALSO HAVE PICUTURES OF MY INJURIES. I FEEL THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A WARNING SIGNS, AND THE FORCE OF THE AIR BAG SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN SO GREAT , THUS PREVENTING ME FROM SUSTAINING SO MANY PERMANENT INJURIES. I CAN NOT UNDERSTAND WHY TOYOTA NEVER ANSWERED MY LETTER. I RETAINED AN ATTORNEY AND STATED THAT THE AIR BAG COMPANIES HAVE GOOD LAWYERS AND I WOULD NOT WIN.

WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH DRIVER APPLIED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP. IT COLLIDED INTO THE VEHICLE IN FRONT. UPON IMPACT, BOTH FRONTAL AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. DRIVER WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE TO A GARAGE FOR INSPECTION. THE CAUSE HA NOT BEEN DETERMINED. *AK
I OWN TOYOTA CAROLLA (1994 MODEL) AND MY WIFE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT - FRONT IMPACT. SHE MUST BE TRAVELLING BETWEEN 20-25 MPH WHEN THE ACCIDENT OCCUR AND STILL THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG DIDN'T INFLATE. BECAUSE OF THIS SHE HAD BRUISED HER JAW AND BROKE THE BONE ON HER SIDE FACE. NO CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE IN ORDER TO AVOID ANY REPEITION LIKE THIS. I WOULD EXPECT THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAGS TO INFLATE ON FRONTAL IMPACT.
WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH SRS LIGHT APPEARED ON THE DASHBOARD AND REMAINED ON. CONSUMER DROVE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, AND MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE CLOCK SPRING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *AK
WHILE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY AND WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING AIRBAG LIGHT APPEARED ON THE DASHBOARD. *AK
THE CONSUMER RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE AND TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. AFTER WAITING TWO HOURS THE RECEPTIONIST TOLD HIM THERE WERE NO SPARE PARTS TO DO THE RECALL. (96V107000) *YH *SCC
AIR BAG LIGHT ON INSTRUMENT PANEL ILLUMINATED. DEALERSHIP PREVIOUSLY CHECKED VEHICLE FOR ANY APPLICABLE RECALLS AND FOUND NO INFORMATION ON COMPUTER SYSTEM. HOWEVER, WITHIN THE PAST TWO WEEKS CONSUMER RECEIVED A FOLLOW-UP RECALL 96V107000 NOTICE. *AK CONSUMER INFORMED DEALER OF RECALL NOTICE RECEIVED, DEALER EXPLAINED THEY DID NOT FIND RECALL BECAUSE OF NEW COMPUTER SYSTEM, DEALER ORDERED THE AIR BAG SENSOR PART, CONSUMER HAS APPOINTMENT TO HAVE RECALL REPAIRS. *TT
DURING FRONT END COLLISION, @25-30 MPH, DRIVER'S AIR BAG FAILED TO DEPLOY. CAR WAS TOTALED OR NEAR TOTALED (YET TO BE DETERMINED) *AK
MY HUSBAND WAS STRUCK ON THE DRIVERS FRONT SIDE AND FRONT OF CAR, CAUSING THE WHOLE FRONT END TO BE SMASHED IN, INCLUDING THE FIRE BERECADE WALL. WHEN HIT, AIR BAG IN THE CAR ON THE DRIVERS SIDE DID NOT DEPLOY, CAUSING HIM TO HIT THE WINDOW. *AK
VEHICLE EXPERIENCING PROBLEM WITH AIR BAG SENSOR LIGHT REMAINING ON. VEHICLE BEEN IN DEALER SHOP ON TWO OCCASIONS, AND REPAIRS WAS MADE AT CONSUMER'S COST. PROBLEM REOCCURRED. VEHICLE TAKEN BACK TO DEALER FOR REPAIRS, PROBLEM HAS NOT RETURNED SINCE. REPAIRS WERE MADE AT OWNER'S COST. *AK *ML

VEHICLE WAS REARENDED AND PUSHED FORWARD INTO A VEHICLE IN FRONT,DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG DEPLOYED, CAUSING LACERATION TO FACE AND CHIN AND BURNS ON CHEST.SEATBELTS WERE WORN AT THE TIME, BUT THE PASSENGER SIDE SHOULDER BELT DID NOT RETRACT, RELYING ENTIRELY ON THE WAIST BELT TO HOLD PASSENGER, WHO WAS THROWN FORWARD. *AK *ML
CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL COLLISION IN WHICH DRIVER'S AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY UPON IMPACT. THERE WAS A DELAYED RESPONSE WHICH CAUSED CONSUMER TO SUSTAIN INJURIES. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK

CONSUMER WAS DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH AND REARENDED ANOTHE RVEHICLE, BUT DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY, WHICHCOULD HAVE RESULTED IN INJURIES. *AK
AIR BAG DEPLOYED CAUSING INJURY. THE AIR BAG ALMOST RENDERED ME UNCONSCIOUS. THE AUTOMOBILE ALTHOUGH TOTALLED PROVIDED MAXIMUM PASSENGER PROTECTION. THE AIR BAG SYSTEM ON ALL CARS ARE AN INJURY HAZZARD. MY ONLY EMERGENCY ROOM TREATMENT WAS DUE TO THE AIR BAG LACERATIONS AND ABRASIONS. *AK
MY DAUGHTER WAS INVOLVED IN A REAR-END ACCIDENT WITH ENOUGH DAMAGE TO THE FRONT END OF THE TOYOTA TO TOTAL THE CAR. HER AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY, AND THE SEAT BELTS DID NOT LOCK IN THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SEATS. SHE AND HER BOYFRIEND, WHO WAS IN THE FRONT RIGHT SEAT, WERE BOTH INJURED BECAUSE THE SEAT BELTS DID NOT LOCK, AND THE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. AGAIN, CAR IS A TOTAL LOSS - AIR BAG AND BELTS DID NOT WORK. PICTURES ARE AVAILABLE.

WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY TRAVELING 50-65 MPH, VEHICLE TRAVELED OVER SOME BLACK ICE, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO LOSE CONTROL. RESULTING IN AN ACCIDENT. AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. *AK

APPROACHED ANOTHER VEHICLE WHICH WAS SPEEDING,GOING WEST IN PARKING AND THE TWO VEHICLES COLLIDED,SMASHING THE FRONT OF THE CAR. NEITHER AIR BAG DEPLOYED. TOYOTA SENT INVESTIGATORS OUT AND THEY SAID CAR WAS NOT HIT HARD ENOUGH FOR AIR BAGS TO DEPLOY. *AK

APPROACHED ANOTHER VEHICLE WHICH WAS SPEEDING,GOING WEST IN PARKING AND THE TWO VEHICLES COLLIDED,SMASHING THE FRONT OF THE CAR. NEITHER AIR BAG DEPLOYED. TOYOTA SENT INVESTIGATORS OUT AND THEY SAID CAR WAS NOT HIT HARD ENOUGH FOR AIR BAGS TO DEPLOY. *AK
WHEN VEHCLE WAS INVOLVED IN AN INTER-SECTIONAL CRASH THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 35 MPH. THE VEHICLE IS BEING REPAIRED. *AK
VEHICLE WAS STRUCK IN THE SIDE AND WAS THROWN INTO ANOTHER A VEHICLE. THE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY UNTIL VEHICLE HAD COME TO A COMPLETE STOP, WHICH THEN EXPLODED ON THE DRIVER.
BEFORE RECEIVING THE RECALL, VEHICLE INVOLVED IN A SERIOUS IMPACT, AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY ON TIME, IT DEPLOYED AFTER THE ACCIDENT AND THEN EXPLODED.
NO DEPLOYMENT OF THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG DURING COLLISION, RESULTING IN INJURY TO CONSUMER. MJS
