Unintended acceleration since purchase of vehicle.

several weeks After I took my vehicle into the local dealership for the PWMS assembly window panel control switch problem, I realized my door panel and the switch area was loose. I mentioned this after a couple weeks when I really noticed the Window Master Switch mechanism was dropping downward under the panel cover. The dealership did not take me seriously, so it continued to get worse. I should have taken the car back and insisted they fix it. As of today, I cannot use my Key for power entry, i must manually use the key in the door. The power on the windows still works, but the whole master switch assembly is precariously hanging there in the door and the panel that went on top was damaged when they replaced it so now its broken off in pieces and cannot even be used. I am SO unhappy with this dealership, for the many times I have taken my car in for service. I do not want to go back to them at all after the horribly shoddy job they did with the Master Switch and their lack of concern when I told them they put my door back together poorly. Is the work guaranteed, particularly when it's been this long since I took my car in for this recall fix? I take care of my car which at its age only has 38,000 miles on it. I do not want to take it to the same dealership and unfortunately there's not another one close by. Can you help me by demanding a dealership fix my problem before I actually have a fire due to the unprofessional manner in which the dealership handled my recall fix? I wish I had ignored the recall because my car was better off before I took it in.

my car had issues completely shutting down on me while I was driving which was very dangerous my abs light and steering light would come on each time it shuts down and I wasn’t able to use my power locks lights I couldn’t move it out of park or nothing those were the only two lights the was still able to start up just couldn’t move or use any buttons my keypad wasn’t working so that indicated that it was an electrical issue so I thought it was my battery even though the light wasn’t on for the battery I had my battery tested and the code came back and said I needed an alternator so I had my alternator tested and it works perfectly fine so then I checked the fuse box and it was burned up so that was my whole issue

The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the steering wheel was making abnormal sounds and also vibrating. The contact stated that upon depressing the brake pedal gradually, the steering wheel and brake pedal would vibrate. Additionally, the contact stated that the failure had been reoccurring while driving. The contact stated that the traction control warning light would illuminate intermittently and would cause the vehicle to shut off inadvertently. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where all four ignition coils were replaced. The contact stated that the vehicle was no longer losing motive power and stalling; however, the steering failure persisted. The dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

ALSO, THERE HAVE BEEN ELECTRICAL ISSUES FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS WHEN TURNING ON THE RADIO; AFTER PUSHING ANY BUTTON AT ANY TIME, IT WILL RANDOMLY CHANGE THE DISPLAY TO NONSENSE CHARACTERS OR BECOME BLANK.

I'VE ONLY HAD THE CAR TWO YEARS AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING, THE INSPECTION/REGISTRATION STICKER CANNOT BE HAD! I FEEL VERY MUCH LET DOWN BY THE DEALERSHIP I ACQUIRED THIS CAR FROM. CALLED TOYOTA AND FILED A CASE- THEY RESPECTIVELY UNDERSTAND MY CONCERN, HOWEVER, THEY DID NOT SEEM CONCERNED OF THE SAFETY HAZARD OF THIS ISSUE AND PROBABILITY OF THIS ISSUE CAUSING A DEATH. I HAVE FRIEND SAME ISSUE AND I HAVE READ ABOUT THIS SAME ISSUE ON THE INTERNET. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL. LUCKILY IT DID NOT GO OUT ON ME DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE GOING 70MPG. THE CAR BATTERY KEEPS DYING ON THIS VEHICLE EVEN THOUGH THE BATTERY HAS BEEN REPLACED AND CHECKED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE DEALER CLAIMS A GROUND CABLE ON THE UNDERSIDE IS CORRODED AND "FIXED" IT- BUT THE PROBLEM STILL OCCURS. MY GUESS IS THIS IS A DESIGN DEFECT. IT'S SCARY TO DRIVE A CAR THAT MIGHT LEAVE YOU STRANDED EVERY TIME YOU TURN IT OFF. THIS HAS BEEN ONGOING FOR THE PAST 6 MONTHS.

WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES, MY CAR WILL REV UP. ESPECIALLY WHEN I'M GOING DOWN HILL. ANOTHER CONCERN IS THAT MY CAR WILL MAKE A 2-3 SECOND RATTLING NOISE UPON STARTING UP. IT ONLY MAKES THIS NOISE ONCE IN A WHILE AND IT IS COMING FROM THE ENGINE. ANOTHER ISSUE I'M HAVING IS THE CAR'S CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, TRACK LIGHT AND VSC OFF LIGHT COMING ON SIMULTANEOUSLY ON ANY RAINY DAY AND STAYING ON FOR SEVERAL DAYS AFTER IT HAS STOPPED RAINING. I AVOID DRIVING AT FAST SPEEDS WHEN ITS RAINY BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY THE CAR IS VERY UNSTABLE. MY DRIVER SIDE WINDOW WONT OPEN OR CLOSE AND VERY COLD DAYS AND OTHER DAYS IT MAKES A WEIRD NOISE. HORN FAILED TO HONK WHEN NEEDED. IT DID NOT WORK WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON A HIGHWAY, IT DID NOT WORK ON A CITY STREET, IT DID NOT WORK PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY. THE WIRE BECAME SEPARATED AND THERE WAS A VOID, THE WIRE COVER STAYED INTACT UNTIL I REMOVED THE CONNECTOR FROM THE HORN. I HAD TO CONNECT A NEW WIRE FROM THE EXISTING WIRE AND RECONNECT TO THE HORN. ALL IS FINE NOW.

MY 2007 TOYOTA COROLLA HAD A FAILED ECM WHICH CAUSED THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO COME AND STALL THE ENGINE. IN ADDITION, MY VEHICLE HAD HIGH RPM AND SHIFTING GEAR PROBLEMS AS WELL. THE FAILED ECM ISSUE WAS DISCOVERED BY A SPECIFIC CODE FOR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. I CALLED TOYOTA AND THEY WERE CERTAINLY AWARE OF THE PROBLEM HOWEVER TOLD ME THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH COMPLAINTS TO RECALL THE ISSUE. I CALLED TOYOTA DEALER AND THEY INFORMED SINCE MY MILEAGE WAS 95,000 AND THE WARRANTY WOULD ONLY COVER UP TO 80,000 MILES. I ENDED UP GETTING THE ECM REPLACED FOR ABOUT $800 AT CARMAX WHICH WAS $700 CHEAPER THAN WHAT TOYOTA WANTED TO CHARGE. I CALLED TOYOTA HEADQUARTERS AGAIN TO COMPLAIN AND WAS LEFT WITH NO RESOLUTION. AFTER MY RESEARCH ONLINE, THIS WAS A WELL KNOWN PROBLEM TO TOYOTA HOWEVER THEY FAILED TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE. THIS ISSUE OCCURRED TO MANY VEHICLES AS LOW AS 35000 MILES UNDER WARRANTY AND STILL CONTINUE TO OCCUR OUT OF WARRANTY OVER 80000 MILES. I FEEL IF THEY HAD A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE, I WOULD HAVE NEVER HAD THESE ISSUES WITH MY CAR BEING STALLED AND HAVING TO REPLACE THE ECM. I HAVE LEASED A 2010 COROLLA IN JULY 2010 IT NOW HAS APPROX. 4200 MILES ON IT I CONTINUE TO HAVE UNEXPLAINED WHAT APPEARS TO BE ELECTRONIC OR COMPUTER SOFTWARE PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE. ONE INSTANCE WAS I PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE, BUT THE CAR DID NOT MOVE, BUT THE ENGINE REVVED WHEN I PUT MY FOOT ON THE GAS PEDAL. I THEN PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL AND BACK INTO DRIVE AND THE CAR FUNCTIONED NORMALLY. I THEN DROVE APPROX 6 MILES ROUND TRIP AND RETURNED HOME, PUT THE CAR IN PARK, I HAD MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE, AND MY HANDS WERE TOUCHING NOTHING I WAS READING SOMETHING THAT I HAD IN MY HAND AND THE HIGH BEAMS POPPED ON THE LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE DASH, IT WAS FAIRLY LIGHT OUT SO I DON'T IMAGINE THAT IS A FEATURE, IT WAS A BIT OVERCAST AND CLOUDY. THE ODOMETER AT SOME POINT CHANGED FROM DISPLAYING MILES WITH 10THS AND ONLY DISPLAYS FULL NUMBER MILES, I THINK IT WAS AFTER I ACCIDENTALLY HIT THE ALARM BUTTON ON THE REMOTE KEY THAT IT CHANGED BUT I DON'T KNOW FOR SURE. I ALSO BELIEVE THE CAR'S COMPUTER WAS NOT PROPERLY SET UPON DELIVERY, OR THEY PUT IN A SOFTWARE UPGRADE WHEN I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE INVOICE SHOWS THEY DID A COMPUTER RESET. THE ODOMETER STOPPED WORKING, BRAKE, CHECK-ENGINE, PANIC MODE AND AIRBAG SYSTEM LIGHTS WENT ON. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 TOYOTA COROLLA LE. WHILE SITTING IDLE IN THE PARKING POSITION, THE VEHICLE MOMENTARILY LUNGED FORWARD. WHILE TRAVELING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS AS LOW AS 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE WOULD VEER TO THE RIGHT. ALSO, THE KEYLESS REMOTE, WHICH ALSO ACTS AS A VEHICLE LOCATOR, WOULD ONLY OPERATE INTERMITTENTLY. OFTEN, THE VEHICLE LOCATOR ALARM WOULD GO OFF ON WITHOUT DRIVER INPUT. THE DEALER ADVISED CHANGING THE BATTERIES IN THE KEYLESS REMOTE. THAT DID NOT CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE DEALER THEN ATTEMPTED TO REPROGRAM THE KEYLESS ALARM SENSOR AND ADVISED THE LOCATOR COULD ONLY BE USED FOR SHORT-RANGE LOCATING. NO FURTHER REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED ON THE VEHICLE. I HAVE BEEN TAKING MY COROLLA TO THE DEALERSHIP ALMOST EVERY WEEK SINCE 01/28/2010 AND EVERY WEEK I COMPLAINED ABOUT HOW THE CAR WAS DRIFTING SIDE TO SIDE AND HOW ON LOW WINDY DAYS I HAVE TO FIGHT THE STEERING WHEEL TO KEEP IT IN ITS LANE AT SPEEDS ABOVE 65MPH. AND EVERY TIME I TAKE IT OVER THERE THEY SAY "WELL THE CAR IS WORKING TO FACTORY STANDARDS" AND THEY WILL SEND ME ON MY WAY. I HAVE HAD MY BRAKES BLED AND MY CAR ALIGNMENT DONE TWICE AND THE CAR ONLY HAS 2000+ MILES ON IT. SO I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP FROM WHERE I BOUGHT IT AND THEY GAVE ME THIS CUST STATES VEHICLE IS ALL OVER THE ROAD AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS LIKE THE COMPUTER IS DRIVING THE CAR ON ITS OWN ~|~PERFORMED HEALTH CHECK ON ALL SYSTEMS. I SAID NOPE I HAD THE AIR DONE TO FACTORY STANDARDS OF 35PSI ALL AROUND. TOYOTA COROLLA S 2010 [XXX] WITH EXTRA STABILIZER BAR KIT, PURCHASED 11-30-09 WITH DELIVERY IN 12/09. 1) APPROXIMATELY 1 MONTH AFTER PURCHASE ,THE CAR STARTING TO VEER SHARPLY RIGHT THEN LEFT WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, IT WAS/IS DIFFICULT TO CONTROL REQUIRING A TIGHT GRIP ON THE WHEEL. IT FEELS LIKE STRONG WINDS ARE MOVING THE CAR BUT WINDS ARE ABSENT AND ROAD CONDITIONS ARE NORMAL. THIS EVENT COMES AND GOES UNEXPECTEDLY, GENERALLY LASTS THE DURATION OF MY COMMUTE ONCE STARTED, SOMETIMES OCCURS WITH THE TIRE PRESSURE GAUGE BUT NOT ALWAYS, SOMETIMES OCCURS AFTER RAPID BRAKING. IT DOES NOT FEEL LIKE AN ALIGNMENT OR BALANCE PROBLEM, THE CAR DARTS FROM ONE END OF THE LANE, TO THE MEDIAN OF THE LANE ON ITS OWN. ON THIS DATE 2-24-10 MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP FILLED THE TIRES, AND MADE A SLIGHT CHANGE TO THE LEFT ALIGNMENT THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND STATED "THIS COULD BE A MATTER OF PERSONAL PREFERENCES" REGARDING HOW I FELT THE CAR DROVE WHEN THIS OCCURRED. THE TOYOTA MANAGER ALSO TOLD ME TODAY THAT THEY UNDERSTAND "THERE COULD BE A PROBLEM BUT THEY HAVE NO DIRECTION ON HOW TO REPAIR IT." WHEN ASKED THEN IF HE COULD GUARANTEE MY SAFETY AND THAT THIS WOULD NOT OCCUR AGAIN HE STATED NO, BUT THERE WAS NOTHING FOR HIM TO DO. NO INJURIES TO DATE.
