my 2019 Toyota 8 speed transmission jerking in stop and go traffic

Dec 18, 2025

Jerks during acceleration. Lurching sensation when acceleration from a stop or after slowing down for a turn. The engine control module (ECM) not communicating effectively with the transmission, leading to searching for gears, rough shifting and low speed hesitation.

Dec 11, 2025

My 2019 Toyota RAV4 experienced a dangerous electrical and transmission failure that ultimately caused the vehicle to stall while driving and made me lose control. For several weeks before the incident, the vehicle showed subtle hesitation when accelerating but no warning lights. After the car stalled and spun out coming off the Ben Franklin Bridge onto I-76 near downtown Camden, police responded, confirmed the vehicle had unexpectedly shut off, and verified there was no crash damage. I later brought the car to the Toyota dealership, where they discovered corrosion on the battery cable, failed ABS sensors, and a weak battery. I paid $668 for a new battery, new cable, and ABS sensor repairs. At that time, the dealership did not inform me of any transmission issues and released the vehicle back to me. I made it only a short distance up the road before realizing the vehicle could not accelerate past 40 mph and was still malfunctioning, so I immediately returned it. The next day, the dealership initially claimed there was nothing wrong with the vehicle, but after I insisted they re-evaluate the car, they then informed me that the transmission was failing and needed replacement. This sequence of electrical instability, combined with the transmission malfunction, ultimately led to the earlier stall where I lost all power steering and braking assist and spun out into the median. The vehicle, diagnostic records, and replaced components are available for inspection. The sudden loss of power and control created a major safety risk to me and other drivers in a high-traffic area.

The design of some Rav4 grilles (particularly 2019-2024 models) allows rocks and road debris to easily pass through and damage the vulnerable A/C condenser, or radiator behind it, which leads to very expensive repairs. This is what happened to my 2019 Toyota Rav 4. Now I have to pay 1300.00 to get it repaired.

I am reaching out regarding a structural issue I’ve experienced with my 2019 Toyota RAV4, specifically with the rear power liftgate. Recently, I noticed that the liftgate hinges are beginning to crack and pull away from the body of the vehicle. The alignment of the trunk has shifted slightly, and there is visible damage around the hinge area. This appears to be worsening over time and is beginning to affect the liftgate’s ability to close properly and securely.

7/16/2025 Engine Maintenance Required Visit Dealer" message on a 2019 Toyota RAV4 LE came on and will not go off. Upon further research and inspection coolant bypass valve is faulty.

Jun 9, 2025

You get a message that said engine maintenance required contact the dealer, when you do the scan it's shows that there is a problem with engine coolant bypass valve. After checking online it was multiple people with the same problem.

While driving at interstate speed and cruise control set, the cruise control stopped working and Cruise Control Malfunction errors, as well as Hybrid System Malfunction errors appeared. With other cars driving so closely behind me, the quick deceleration caught me off-guard and could have easily been hit from behind. I took the car to Toyota Dealership and appears there's already a known issue for a corroded traction cable and since not under warranty (due to mileage >120,000 miles) will cost $4668 to fix. Why is this not a recall if the problem is known?

May 12, 2025

There is a water accumulation problem in the doors. This could potentially cause some rot from the inside out causing electrical to fail or metal to rust and cause the affected door(s) to not open correctly. No warning lights came on or anything on the dashboard.

Faulty coolant valve and Toyota says that it is not covered/part of a recall. However, many vehicles are experiencing this issue so this seems like a widespread problem that Toyota is not taking responsibility for.

Apr 7, 2025

The trunk door has been having major issues, where the hatch hinges and power liftgate strut are not operating correctly. The door is unable to close without manual assistance. Ghettel Toyota of Bradenton's service center has inspected and confirmed the malfunction. There were no warning messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure; it first appeared in December 2024, and this car is a 2019 model with 37,000 miles on it. A second opinion was provided by a local body shop, prompting me to report this issue, as they informed me that this has been happening to multiple RAV4 vehicles.

On 01/29/2025 at around 5:30pm I was driving home from work when suddenly the car stalled. I was going about 45 mph on a secondary to Lane Highway that was completely black because there are no street lights in that area. There were all kinds of warning lights flashing on the dash. I let my car drift to the shoulder was able to break and put it in park. I tried turning the vehicle back on but it would not start. My cell phone showed no Wi-Fi connection but I know the area very well and I knew I could walk several feet to a connection. Therefore spite concerns for my safety I had to leave my vehicle in order to call for help. I walked about 30 ft in the pitch black on this highway dressed in dark clothing on a shoulder that was very narrow. There was a pickup truck coming my way who flashed his high beams in my face but did not stop to see if he could help. Actually I was grateful for this because it's a pretty secluded area and I was very frightened for my safety. I was able to get a connection about 30 ft away from the vehicle and called my husband who said he would be on his way. I walked back to the vehicle got in and tried to start it. It would not start but all the warning lights were flashing on the dash. I decided I should take pictures of the warning lights in case we needed that for the dealer. After a couple of minutes I decided to try to start the car again and it did start. I was able to drive down the road to a Wi-Fi connection called my husband to let him know I was on my way. Once I got home the car seemed to be in order but there was one warning light telling us to take it to the dealer because there was something wrong with the hybrid system. We made an appointment to go in on January 31st. They inspected the vehicle to the tune of almost $200 and diagnosed the problem as follows: hybrid EV battery voltage system isolation internal internal electronic failure rear motor corrosion on both hybrid harnesses. Cost to repair $5,500.00

A warning message "Engine Maintenance Require Visit Your Dealer" appeared on my vehicle dashboard screen on approximately May 22, 2024. I googled and looked up on Facebook group and many other owners shared their experiences who encountered the exact issue with the Engine coolant bypass valve, and it requires a replacement, or else it could overheat and cause damages to the engine. Those owners who got it replaced and shared it costs about $1,000 or more at the dealership. I went to a local mechanic shop, and they diagnosed the exact issue as expected, and they were able to replace the part at a much lower cost than the dealership.

Toyota RAV4 5th Gen Power Lift Gate Hinge Issues Unpredictable Failure: If the lift gate or its components fail unexpectedly, it could cause injury to someone loading or unloading items, especially if they are unable to react in time. Obstructed Visibility: If the lift gate detaches while in motion, it could obstruct the driver’s rear visibility, increasing the risk of an accident. Risk to Other Road Users: A detached lift gate or related debris could pose significant danger to pedestrians, cyclists, or other vehicles on the road. Vehicle Stability and Control: A sudden failure or detachment of the lift gate components could destabilize the vehicle, especially at high speeds. Damage to Emergency Equipment: If the lift gate collapses or detaches, it could damage essential safety or emergency equipment stored in the trunk, leaving occupants unprepared in an actual emergency. Child and Pet Safety Concerns: Families frequently use RAV4s as family vehicles. A collapsing or failing lift gate could pose a serious risk to children or pets while loading or unloading. Potential for Escalating Damage: The failure of hinges or struts could result in cascading damage to other parts of the vehicle, such as electrical systems or the rear windshield, creating additional safety hazards. Delayed Emergency Response: If the lift gate malfunctions or becomes stuck in a partially open or closed position, it could impede access to the cargo area in emergencies, such as retrieving a first aid kit.

Dec 28, 2024 Fire

The vehicle suddenly started to smoke and burn by itself when driving on the super crowded highway. I immediately stopped the vehicle and found that the burning site was the bottom of the front-left head of the vehicle (please see the images attached). The mechanician I visited after judged that the fire may due to failed electrical parts or system. He suggested to visit a Toyota dealer for recall. However, the Toyota dealer (Crown Toyota, 1201 Kettering Dr, Ontario, CA91761) declined my request with the reason that my vehicle has passed warranty time. The vehicle was just inspected in the Toyota dealer a few days ago. The dealer's inspection report shows that the vehicle does not have any problems besides suggesting to replace tires and front brakes.

Dec 21, 2024

The Data Communication Module has failed in my vehicle. This causes several major distractions and increases the risk of an accident. The media screen in the center of the dashboard will send an alert message every 15 seconds saying that ‘the connected device is not compatible’. At night, this alert message is especially bright and distracting. The lights on the SOS button are constantly blinking. More significantly, the SOS button does not work anymore. The only known solution to this problem is either to disconnect the DCM, or to pay more than $1300 to replace it.

Dec 16, 2024

Dear NHTSA, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a recurring issue with my 2019 Toyota RAV4, which I believe poses a significant safety concern. The check engine light on my vehicle frequently illuminates, resulting in the disablement of the all-wheel drive (AWD) system. I initially brought my vehicle to a Toyota dealership, where they replaced the charcoal canister (EVAP) three times based on the diagnostic code. Despite these repeated repairs, the problem persists. Suspecting that the issue might be related to the dealership's service, I sought a second opinion from another Toyota dealership. Unfortunately, they provided the same diagnosis and solution, which again failed to resolve the issue. Given that the AWD system is a critical safety feature, especially in adverse driving conditions, I believe this issue should be considered a safety concern and potentially covered by a recall. Further given that the EVAP system is directly tied to the fuel it also should be considered a safety concerns. The repeated failure to address the root cause of the problem not only undermines the reliability of the vehicle but also compromises the safety of its occupants. I kindly request that the NHTSA investigate this matter and consider issuing a recall to address this widespread issue. Your attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated, as it would ensure the safety and satisfaction of Toyota RAV4 owners. Thank you for your time and consideration. My car frame floods every time it rains. This flooding includes my sunroof drain clogging. As a result of the water retention in my car’s frame, my cars safety system controller units are being corroded and thus I DO NOT have any reliable safety monitoring system. I have looked into this and this a COMMON complaint for Toyota 2019-2021 Rav4 sunroof cars. I have had the sunroof drain cleared multiple times but the issue remains. So far it has impacted my tire pressure safety monitoring systems. This is a MAJOR safety issue as the electrical safety monitoring system controller units are NOT properly functioning as a result of poor water drainage.

Dec 4, 2024

Known DCM issue rendering emergency services button and all DCM services inoperable. Will not be able to activate emergency services in the event of collision. Toyota is aware of this design flaw and put out TSB011220, but they won't cover it outside of the warranty. Potential safety issue

Nov 21, 2024

Coolant leaked out of a vehicle’s closed-loop coolant system, harming its ability to properly regulate engine temperature. This can cause overheating, stalling, increased emissions, and total engine failure and also allows coolant to leak into and damage surrounding engine components, including a vehicle’s electrical system, the complaint relays. Coolant leak also corroded the sensor on the RAV4 coolant bypass valve, which can caused it to remain in the open or closed position and be unable to properly direct coolant throughout the engine.

A malfunction in the electronic control of the engine, throttle, or automatic transmission has been detected. The car then ran hot and started jerking. I took it to autozone for them to look and could not find anything, I had a mechanic come over to look at it, and he couldn't find anything either. I sent it to Toyota Wolfchase in Memphis TN. Who has stated it will be two or three days before they can even look at it. This seems to be a common problem with Toyota cars yet there's no recall I have seen numerous complaints on Google Reddit, TikTok, and more. I called corporate to make a complaint and they said they don't see any complaints which I know is not true

Toyota Rav4 2019 XLE - Engine Coolant Pump Performance/Stuck Off Error code P26CB milage 56,920 Toyota says this is NOT covered by the 5 year power train warranty. For years Toyota has manufactured this water pump that freezes up due to manufacturing defect that allows the magnetic base housing to rupture. Dealers want to replace entire pump (or at least charge for it) verses replacing the frozen plastic rotor. Dealer claims this is not covered under 5 year power train warranty. Why not? My car temp started climbing and took me hours to get home (10 miles) as I kept stopping for hours waiting for engine cool and sprinkling water from bottles over the engine and trans housing where it butts against the engine (silver brading). (This was late in weekend night - repair shops not open. I do see a recall investigation started (no recall yet) and just wanted to add my complaint to the issue. At first the temp gauge read normal but later started climbing. The engine light did come on the the DB2 said P26CB.

The rear power liftgate metal hinges are peeling away from the body of the vehicle. My liftgate doesn't close properly and is out of alignment to stay safely latched closed and has become 100% unusable. There is a 1.5 inch gap (you can see light and water can enter) on rear pass. side and the door is tightly jammed closed on the rear driver side. After speaking with a Toyota service manager, he casually let me know he sees this frequently. I have learned this is a very known issue yet Toyota will do nothing to prevent these defective hinges from being installed or cover repairs. The service manager told to take it to the collision center to get quoted on a repair. I did and my out of pocket cost (because Toyota won't take responsibility for this defect) is between $700 and $2700, depending how much damage occurred to other components caused by the defective hinges (the collision company has also stated they've done many of these repairs). My vehicle showed no visible sign of failure prior to breaking. It would occasionally fail to close, as if an object was in the way, but upon re-trying to power liftgate button, it would close. Sometimes it would take 3 to 4 times to be successful. But, it never appeared as if it was out of alignment or damaged until last weekend when I tried to close it and it forced closed itself VERY incorrectly. Considering my vehicle was purchased less than 5 years ago, brand new, this shouldn't be happening. It definitely shouldn't be showing this kind of wear on a vehicle I haven't even had to change brakes, tires or a simple headlight on the ENTIRE ownership of the vehicle. When I use those items every single day. My liftgate is used 1 time or less a week. The cost of this repair is half what I still owe on it and I didn't even do anything to cause it, it happened due to faulty hinges that are NOT safe. How do I know my hatch won't open while driving? Or that it won't break opposite and my liftgate becomes unsecured from my suv altogeth

Engine maintenance light - requiring change of coolant bypass valve

Jun 20, 2024

I own a 2019 Toyota RAV 4. After realizing that my liftgate does not close properly I discovered that the hinges are cracked resulting in issues with opening and closing the tailgate and causing a misalignment when the door finally shuts. In further researching I have discovered there are hundreds of vehicles affected and owners impacted by this manufacturer defect. Toyota fails to take any action despite having an extended warranty. I fully believe this should be a recall issue with full responsibility on the vehicle manufacturer for installing faulty parts.

Jun 15, 2024

My issued started as a persistent warning light that the vehicle needs to be taken to dealer. They informed me that the the Engine Coolant Bypass Valve was malfunctioning. This problem is so common that the service writer was able to diagnose it within 10 seconds of hearing the symptoms. Apparently these parts are used in the RAV4, the corolla and some Camry’s 2019-2021. These aren’t even a question of if they will break but how soon (sometimes as early as 20,000 miles). My car has 38,036 miles on it. It is very low mileage and driven conservatively. The safety issue is that this repair is to put the same faulty part in, which costs just shy of $900, only to have the same issue reoccur in another 20-30k miles. It is tempting to continue to drive the car without making the repair, as it is costly and frustrating, yet it is not safe so the repair must be done. This is such a widespread problem in these cars, that there is no doubt that some drivers just cannot afford the expense and are continuing to operate their vehicles, regardless of safety. I believe this should be a recall or at the least a warranty enhancement to the parts as they become faulty, so that until Toyota has a better fix, it is no fault of the driver and not an unexpected expense to cover to drive their fairly new vehicle, which they didn’t expect to have to need costly repairs so soon. This is an issue inherent in either the poor design or the poor manufacturing which forces the drivers to put safety in competition with their financil

Vehicle has been releasing a chemical odor when engine is started. At 36,000 miles the Engine Maintenance Requird light alerted driver to have vehicle checked. Diagnostic indicated the Coolant Bypass Valve was needing replacement. Cost for repair $760 + tax. Part for repair is priced at less than $100 at local car parts store but repair must be done at dealership to maintain powertrain warranty. POV: Excessive price for a part that should not be failing at 36,000 miles. Driver advised to not drive vehicle for safety reasons.

my 2019 Rav4 has a message "to visit the dealer" vehicle needs maintance. i believe code #P2681. The coolant bypass valve. the dealer told me that the coolant bypass valve needs to be replaced. Also through my research this is a know issue with certain Toyota vehicles including the Rav 4. Deal needs approx $1,000 to replace the coolant bypass value. My personal mechanic researched the known issue and wants me to purchase the parts from Toyota #16260-f0010. $119.68 from toyota online parts. I am not sure what to do. No recall "YET" and vehicle not in warranty.

I bought this car last year on October 4th from carmax (mileage was 62k at the time of purchase). I started to have problems the next month on November 6th with the brakes which was rusted and had to replace the pads. That was very dangerous and could have hurt myself driving around the heavy rain at the time. I was scared for my safety and others wellbeing so I took the car to the dealership. Their mechanic checked the car and told me that this wasn't fixed or checked since April 2023 before I bought the car in october 2023. I had problems with the infotainment system. the map navigation for my android and iPhone doesnt work anymore. the mechanic at the dealership fixed the rear break pads and discs but couldnt fix the infotainment system even after updating the system. He issued me a 250 dollar refund and was charged 680 dollars for the rest of the job. Another issue happened on March 2024 for the front barring needed to be replaced from a carmax mechanic shop. Paid 380 to fix. This month I got a message saying " engine maintenance required, go to dealership". I took the car to the mechanic and explained that the computer code error message means the coolant valve is defective. I'm thinking of going to the dealer tomorrow up until I found out the car never got the recall repaired from this website. Could this be the reason why I'm having this may problems? The car hasn't been inspected by police or insurance, only the toyota manufacturer on November 6th who told me about the car not getting fixed since April 2023. I have the invoice of all these repairs done. The latest mechanic that told me about the coolant valve being defective thought I needed to change my oil. He did change the oil and charged me 189 dollars. I'm planning on taking the mechanic to fix that problem since the toyota dealership was gonna charge me to fix the transmission fluid which isn't the problem. I will upload the receipt for the oil change job.

#16260-F0010 B/0 PART COOLANT BY-PASS LOST Vehicle is a 2019 RAV4, odometer reads 37849. I've had a persistent "Engine Maintenance Required" notification on the MID screen for the last 1500 miles or so, literally the day after getting a scheduled service at the dealer. I initially thought it was just the service reminder, so I didn't think much of it, and just ignored it. But eventually it became so annoying that I tried to clear the notification, and couldn't-- and upon further research, it turns out the notification is probably the result of a leaking coolant bypass valve. I haven't noticed any loss in coolant, haven't experienced any abnormal engine temps, and haven't had any CELs. I've also noticed that the notification only comes on now when I have the A/C turned on.

I spoke to a Toyota customer service rep and they advised me to also log my issue on this site as a way to get the manufacturer to address it. The material on the steering wheel has been increasingly coming off. I'm [XXX] and retired, so the car does not experience rough usage and yet the material is not holding up. I would put a steering cover on, but the steering assist requires touching the steering wheel and I'm not sure how it would continue to work with a cover installed. This is my second Rav4 and I did not experience this problem with that one. This will be a very expensive replacement at some point, and I don't want the same defective material to be installed. I wish the manufacturer would address this. I have not been to the dealer yet to be honest, but wear and tear isn't covered under the warranty. I don't think this is normal though and the material should be holding up better than this. The car is stored in the garage, so it's not being caused by the sun. There's just 50,000 miles on the vehicle now. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Engine maintenance light on for coolant by pass valve

Mar 26, 2024

Engine Maintenance Required Alert popped up on my vehicle. It’s a 2019 RAV4 with barely 60k mileage on it that I bought new off the dealership back in 2019. They are charging me $800 to get the coolant bypass valve repaired, but this is a known issue that all RAV4’s are experiencing (regardless if it’s at 20k or 100k miles)

On [XXX], I brought my car in for its 60,000 mile check up. Everything was marked in the green zone including the “coolant.” On [XXX], car brought back in due to message on the car stating “Engine Service Required.” I went to the dealer and the advisor Daniel already had an idea it was the coolant bypass valve was most likely leaking coolant. Per advisor, he stated he has seen this many times before for these types of car bought within this year always has this problem. Upon inspection, the advisor was correct and it was the coolant bypass valve leaking coolant and needing to be repaired. I had to pay $1,278.55 just to fix this in a low mileage car. The DCM failed. On 2/11/2024, a speaker was no longer working. On 2/15/2024, it was confirmed that the vehicle's microphone was not working. The vehicle was taken to a Toyota dealership on 2/16/2024. They confirmed that the speaker/microphone were not working. They identified a Toyota Service Bulletin for this issue, requiring DCM replacement at the cost of the consumer. Since there is a Toyota Service Bulletin, it seems that this is a known issue. Safety is at risk as the vehicle is no longer hands-free for communication. There were no warning signs of this failure.

Feb 10, 2024 Crash

The vehicle was totaled due to a front end collision. The air bags did not deploy, the seat belt did not lock and the emergency alert when in an accident did not work. The driver was trapped in vehicle and unable to get door open, the vehicle was going about 40-45 mph at the time of the collision and the driver was flung forward causing whiplash and a concussion.

Major insurance companies have been refusing to insure my car because my car was affected by the natural disasters before I purchased the car. This information was fraudulently withheld by the dealership at the time of my purchase. Thus, I would like to have full refunds equal to my purchase price and repair costs.

Sunroof shattered while driving down the interstate. A chunk of glass was missing & small pieces of glass fell into the car into my hair & into my clothes. Safety put at risk due to shock of event occurring while driving. It caught me off guard & I could not just stop on the highway to inspect what happened as cars were on the side & behind me. Increased anxiety while driving. Insurance claim filed with $500 deductible & without a car for an unknown period of time until glass is repaired. Car inspected by collision shop upon arrival.

The car's hesitation when I try to accelerate from a slow roll or lower gear. Resulting in lurches when I try to speed up. We got this car for my daughter she is a new driver and the hesitating and lurching is a problem.

In my Rav4, I had a message pop up that said "Engine Maintenance Required" and it wouldn't go away. I couldn't get rid of it. So I took it to the dealership and they immediately said that I needed my engine coolant bypass valve replaced. They also said it has been a constant issue with other Rav4 vehicles, but there has not been a recall yet. So I paid $650 to get the valve replaced and the continuous message taken off.

Nov 18, 2023 Crash

Vehicle accelerated uncontrollably in reverse at 50-60 mph and crashed into a wall, almost killing me. I could not stop the vehicle. Braking did not stop it.

Engine Maintenance Required light on due to a faulty Coolant Bypass Valve. After doing research online, there are many 2019 and 2020 RAV4 that have been having this problem. The dealer said the same thing. Would like to put this on the record in hopes that a recall will happen in the future.

Hybrid Harness Malfunction. As reported on FaceBook by my wife to [XXX] of LIA Toyota: "Well my husband's RAV 4 wasn't safe and you knew it. And corporate knew it. You are in the business of saving lives by informing your customers when you find a defect in your cars. This faulty harness is dangerous. And the repair is costly and there aren't many of these parts available to make the repair. You put my husband and countless others in danger. Shame on you." Not only has the problem been confirmed: On May 11th, I received a letter from TOYOTA Motor Sales, USA, Inc. entitled, Certain 2019-2022 Model Year Rav4 Hybrid Vehicle (AWD Only) Coverage for High Voltage Floor Under Wire Harness and Rear Traction Motor Cable Corrosion CUSTOMER SUPPORT PROGRAM 22TE09 NOTIFICATION... There was a YouTube Video made by [XXX] about this problem A YEAR AGO entitled, "CableGate," AND an article at TorqueNews. (I have links if needed) The vehicle has been inspected and repaired by LIA Toyota in Rockland County. OVER $5,500 that I'm looking to get a FULL refund. LIA gave me back $1,000 for over-charging me. I want the FULL refund from Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. A warning lamp/message appeared on May 6. I have emails, reports to corporate & screenshots of conversations with LIA service...all lasting almost 2 months. Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. and LIA Toyota BOTH new of this problem a year ago BEFORE they sent out the letter. The letter states they would repair it for free if under 100,000 miles. I had 114,000, BUT...if I knew a year ago, I would have brought it in...UNDER the 100,000 miles, and got a FREE repair. Thank you for helping me get a full refund and for helping others with this same problem. USA Toyota owners NEED TO KNOW THIS! "Engine maintenance required" comes on. TEch at auto shop cannot reset it. Does not need oil change or anything with engine. Also, both driver and passenger upper airbags seen accumulating moisture marks and leaving dark lines. This does not make sense.

Aug 12, 2023

I was driving my 2019 rav 4 and a warning came on my screen that stated “ engine maintenance required. Visit dealer.” No check engine light came on just this warning that would not go away. I went to orileys to see is they could tell me what was wrong and they were unable to read it since it was not a check engine light. The orileys employee told me I had to take it to a Toyota dealership to find out exactly what was wrong with it. I contacted my local dealership and they confirmed that it was a coolant bypass valve that failed and that he has seen this warning pop up on at least 10 Rav 4’s and that every time it is the coolant bypass valve that has failed.

Aug 3, 2023

The front windshield just started a crack on the drivers side near the wiper blade. No rock or chips and I hear the glass crack while driving. I hear this is a problem with the factory glass from Toyota on the RAV4.

Jul 22, 2023

“Engine maintenance required - see dealer” message around 60k miles and subsequent coolant bypass valve issue should be a RECALL for 2019 RAV4s. Toyota either deliberately enabled this message to pop up to require vehicle owners to spend over $600 at Toyota dealerships, installed faulty coolant bypass valves, and/or failed to properly code messages in the vehicles. The message will not go away and requires only Toyota to disable it. Thousands of owners have had to take their vehicles into Toyota dealerships to correct the message and/or valve issue, costing at least $600. For these reasons, this should be a RECALL.

Toyota service bulletin: T-SB-0079-20 (August 14, 2020) Outer Rear View Mirror Image Vibration While Driving (Causes distraction and could lead to and accident because image in side mirrors are unusable due to vibration) Dealer refuses to do this repair because it was only covered under a 36mo or 36,000 mile warranty. My car currently has 23,500 and this repair should be covered...or be a recall! Some 2019 – 2020 model year RAV4 and RAV4 Hybrid vehicles may exhibit a vibration/shaking of the image shown in the outer rear view mirror(s) while driving. Mirror vibration can be observed at highway speeds of approximately 50 – 70 mph on typical concrete/asphalt road surfaces.

Jun 25, 2023 Crash

I was pulling into a parking space and when I applied the brake to stop, the vehicle did not slow down and hit a building. The driver side airbags deployed (steering wheel and knee airbags). The was no one else in the vehicle. The vehicle was declared a total loss by the insurance company. I have reported the issue to Toyota and signed an authorization for them to obtain the vehicles electronic data. The consumer has yet to receive a response from Toyota.

Jun 16, 2023

Vehicle is switching to mud and sand mode on its own, which according to a quick google search is a common electrical problem. Possible cause listed by other drivers is a roof rail leak. Upon inspection I see water stains on the inside of my headliner where the roof rails sit. So confirmed roof rail leak. I have not yet had this looked at to learn the full extent of the damage.

Jun 12, 2023

The rear passenger side hinge of my lift gate is cracked on both sides. As a result, the lift gate does not open, close, or seal properly. The cracks were noticed a few weeks ago after multiple issues with the rear lift gate freezing as opening or closing. It has never been in an accident, nor has it ever been hit. The car has exclusively only been serviced at the Toyota dealership where it was bought. The rear liftgate issues have been brought up multiple times with no resolution. I’ve contacted the dealership about the hinges and they’ve told me that I need to take it to a private body shop to have repaired. Having the hinge of the liftgate cracked on both sides impacts the integrity of the rear of the car in a collision and the safety of the user one opening and closing lift gate should break entirely. I’m doing research on this issue online. It seems to be some thing. Other people have experience with the rear liftgate hinge. There’s even a complaint about it on consumer affairs.

I purchased a brand new 2019 Toyota RAV-4 XSE Hybrid on August 13, 2019. In 2020, I noticed my fuel tank would not fill past 10 gallons. I had the Toyota of Hollywood dealership fix the gas tank issue in March 2022. Pre-fix, the tank was only filling 9-10 gallons when the low fuel light turned on. Post-fix, I am getting 11 gallons filled which is much less than I thought it would since the tank should hold more. I had the dealer check the tank capacity just in case, and got 14.8 total capacity. I am wondering if this is a software or fuel gauge issue now. Why would you do a customer support program to “fix” a fuel tank so we only get one more gallon of gas in the tank? You should be fixing it so we get a minimum of 13 gallons in the tank. This significantly reduces the range I can drive, 345 miles, according to the computer. After my fuel tank diagnostic on February 22, 2023, Oscar at Toyota of Hollywood told me my tank is operating normally and my tank will only accept 11 gallons and has 3.5 gallons in reserve? So I can drive 100 miles after the empty light comes on and won’t run out of gas? This is a big safety issue. How do I know when my car will run out of gas? The answer is, I don’t.

Sunroof suddenly shattered as we are just starting up the car. We are not parked under a tree or any structure. We just heard a loud noise of something shattering from the roof. I went outside and saw the roof completely shattered.

Mar 17, 2023

The roof rack appears to be leaking and water is coming into the car. The glove box was saturated with water and there was a puddle on the floor. There is water in the headliner. We're concerned about the side impact airbags no longer working and the wiring harness. I'm not sure how long it has been leaking but it was only just discovered yesterday.

Hatch hinge cracking, bending, and breaking causing hatch door to pull to one side. Hatch door pulling to one side caused the door to rub on the tail light when opening and closing and door doesn’t not seal when shut. This issue was not caused by any foreign objects or accidents. The issue is available for inspection. The issue has been seen by a dealership. The issue has not been inspected by any other entities. The first sign of the issue occurred in January 2023 with visible evidence the door was pulling to one side. The issue has continued to worsen.

Jan 27, 2023

On January 17th 2023, I discovered a leak coming from the roof rack on the passenger side. The water leaked onto the passenger seat. When I brought this to the attention of my dealership, I was told that they did not handle these problems and sent me to an independent repair shop, where the roof rack was removed and an adhesive was applied to stop further leaks. I want this problem documented with Toyota, in case any further problems like this develop. I understand from other Toyota owners that this is not an uncommon problem with this model vehicle, and that these leaks can damage wiring and ultimately the airbags.

Jan 26, 2023

Vehicle has absolutely no safe way to hook up to tow. My wife got the car stuck in the snow and needed a tug out with a tow strap. The owners manual states that only some vehicle of this model are equipped with a towing eye. Mine is not, and from what i hear all subsequent year rav4 are not equipped. I crawled underneath the car front and back and dug snow out to find there is no place to hook to. No holes, frame members, nothing to put a hook on, a clevis around, or a loop of rope to loop to. All plastic and smooth sheet metal. I had to strap around one wheel and drag it fighting the allwheel drive system, against my owners manual instructions. How can this be that there is absolutely no recommended way to tow/recover this vehicle or secure it to a towtruck? I have heard stories of tow companies refusing to tow Rav4’s because of this.

Jan 3, 2023

I have had my RAV 4 since it was brand new. Today while i was driving, the mud and sand screen popped up automatic with traction control light, later i was able to turn it to normal then the light would go off for a while and it comes back again. It all happened while i was driving in I 355 going down to Lemont, IL from Palatine IL. I had the same problem but not with the mud and sand but with snow back in 2019 when it was a brand new, took it to a dealership and they said they have never seen like this before and they just reset the computer and it went off. I am pretty sure when I first bought it, even i push each and every button of either snow, sports or mud, the traction light wouldn’t come off. While driving on i 355 today, my car slide for a while which was the most scary part, first I assume it was raining but after when the rain stopped too, it was skidding while applying the brake. I have the regular maintenance, just did the brakes with rotors, changed tires, oil change every 3-4k miles. I tried to talk to Toyota 800 number but wasn’t able to connect with them.

I own a 2019 Toyota RAV4 and have experienced water leaking into the interior of the vehicle after rain and/or when taking the car through a car wash. I believe the water leakage is coming in via the small holes in the roof directly above the front driver seat and front passenger seats. The holes are used to align the plastic clips that help hold the roof rails onto the rood. They are leaking and allowing water to drain down into the interior of the car. This then allows the water to come into contact with the electrical wiring that runs along the top of the roof and down the front window pillars and possible the airbag system. Although I have not experienced a true accident or had a side airbag deploy for NO reason, I am extremely nervous about driving a car that could potentially detonate at any time potentially causing me to wreck! I am also extremely nervous about what affect water coming into contact with electric wiring and components might have on the proper functioning of the airbag system in the car. Although not purely safety related, I also wonder if the constant moisture penetrating the interior confines of the car could potentially expose me to BLACK MOLD and its long term dire health affects.

The roof rack leaks, Toyota trying to charge $800 for labor but the car is not even 40000 miles on it and the roof shouldn’t leak because the airbags are going to get wet and not work

Jul 25, 2022

About a year ago, I was unable to make or receive calls through my vehicle. I could hear the other side talking, but they could not hear me. Additionally, I could not make voice commands through my vehicle. The microphone was not working at all. I advised my dealer and they indicated they did have a service bulletin regarding this issue, but everything they tried did not fix it. the dealer indicated to me that it was going to cost me almost $2,000 to have it fixed. I don't have an extra $2,000 laying around to fix this problem, so I've just been using my phone to my ear normally. It's much safer to have handsfree talking and commands, don't you think? I have 64,000 miles on my vehicle, so its out of manufacturer warranty. Shouldn't this be some type of recall? Thank you.

My vehicle 2019 Toyota Rav 4 Limited has transmission and engine issues as well as a roof rack leak. I have reported this to Toyota via 1-800-331-4331, which was not helpful. Israel stated that there is nothing that Toyota Cooperate can do about this issue. Both the transmission and engine had been previously repaired at Toyota of Laredo to no avail. Currently my vehicle is awaiting repair at Cavander Toyota in San Antonio. No loaner was provided despite me being a home health therapist who needs her vehicle to work.

When you are yielding and not having to make a complete stop by pressing the brake and then return to the gas the vehicle makes a loud bang noise like the engine is going to stall and then the car lunges forward with a big jerk. This is very scary when you have a lot of vehicles coming toward you. We are also having a problem with the roof rack leaking and could be hazardous if the air bag is getting wet if you look on line many people are complaining of these problems with the Rav4 2019 XLE. I purchased this car for my daughter when she graduated high school for safety and now it scares me for her to drive it. We did have a mechanic inspect it and informed us it did happen to him but could not find where it was coming from. He did inform us others with this model were having the same issues. No warning lamp or messages came on.

Roof rail leak known to Toyota leading to potential compromise of SRS airbags and any other electrical wiring within anterior pillars. Long term water damage can lead to corrosion of components within that area. Toyota assessed and confirmed water intrusion due to roof rail leak. Leak became visible to owner due to water marks on headliner. Of note, Toyota refuses to accept blame for water intrusion and provide remedy.

The 2019 Toyota RAV4 Alternator failed at 43,000 miles. The vehicle has been repaired by Toyota Authorized Dealer and is unavailable to be inspected for the same issue. This issue occurred suddenly. My car flashed a charging alert, which I couldn't read because I was driving. Shortly afterward, my power steering on my vehicle went out, making it hard to steer and the car stalled in the middle of the road. When I placed my blinkers on, I was informed by another driver that they couldn't see my blinkers. If this had occurred on the highway, this could have been a more significant safety concern. The authorized dealer confirmed that the alternator failed—no other explanation of why it failed. The authorized dealer only inspected it. The issue appeared on May 10. The only warning provided was a charging alert. This appeared minutes before I lost power steering and the car stalled.

2019 rav 4 and newer leaking water into the headliner near air bags. Obviously we cannot test our vehicles to see whether the airbag is damaged from such thing but I’m concerned! I’m in a “toyota rav 4 club” on Facebook and you can search roof leak and scroll for days with the same issue I’m having. I was dismissed at the dealer when I questioned my concern on the airbag functioning properly after the water possibly corroded it. There is also people having electrical issues from this problem with the water leaking to the electrical devices. Complaints have been made to the main office of Toyota and they state they have no knowledge of this issue. I see this being posted everyday that people have leaks right at their airbags. Please review this before someone gets hurt from this flaw on the 2019+ Toyota rav 4.

Apr 21, 2022

As noted by many other 2019 thru 2021 Toyota Rav4 owners, there is significant water leakage intruding into the vehicle passenger compartment. I can confirm that the water intrusion that my vehicle has sustained is leaking through inadequately sealed holes for clips that are part of the Roof-rack side rails. And that this severe water intrusion is likely damaging the electrical system connectors associated with the vehicles Side Impact Air Bags and possibly the tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) connectors in the side body pillar areas. Our local Toyota Dealership Service Center is aware of this problem. They tell me that our standard and extended warranty will not cover the repairs, and that we should contact our auto insurance provider. I feel that should not be the case, and that this leak issue is going to cause severe injury or death due to the water leaks incapacitating the Side Impact Air Bag System and possibly other safety systems with electrical connection affected by the water intrusion.

Dec 24, 2021

The issue is the stock roof rack that comes with the vehicles. The clips that clip on to the body of the car have gaskets that deteriorate. Water leaks in through those holes and into the headliner of the car. The front SRS airbags are compromised and potentially rendered useless. The wiring that attaches to the airbags is also compromised because the water will eventually corrode it.

My sunroof exploded for absolutely no reason.

Oct 25, 2021

I noticed water pooling on the driver side floor after it rained. I determined water was leaking in the drivers side window and streaming down to the floor and wetting the electrical components. An online search found others with a similar problem. It appears to stem from inadequate gaskets on the roof rails. All of my windows have water seeping in during rain. My concern is the electrical components getting wet. I found one example of corrosion that someone posted online.

The roof rails in my 2019 RAV4 are leaking into my car. Toyota dealership is aware of this issue in my hometown as I’m not the only person to come forward with this however stated that being there isn’t a recall there is nothing they can do. This is a dangerous as the roof holds air bags, electrical components amongst the mold that it’s causing. I have a son who is highly allergic to the mold spores. Toyota used the cheapest parts available to put this car together. This needs attention as people are paying 35-40000 for these vehicles for this to take place and they turn their backs . Please take this serious please

Roof rack seals failed, allowing water in above the A-pillar, which damages the headliner and could damage electrical and side airbags, compromising safety. In talking with other 2019 Rav4 owners, many have experienced the same issue as the sealing mechanism is poorly designed.

DON'T GET ANYWHER NEAR THE MILES DRIVEN THAT WAS TOLD TO ME. I FILL UP, USUALLY TAKES ABOUT 9-10 GLS. WILL HAVE LESS THAN 500 MILES TO DRIVE ON THAT TANK OF GAS.DRIVING LOCAL AND ON HIGHWAY.

CAR LURCHED, SHOOK AND TILTED WHILE DRIVING UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS. SAFETY RECALL ISSUED MAY 20, 2020 (20TB08/20TA08) SAYS FRONT LOWER ARM SUSPENSION DEFECT FOUND FOR SAME MAKE AND MODEL IN PRODUCTION PERIOD 9/25/19-10/25/19, WHICH POST DATES MY PURCHASE DATE BY SEVERAL MONTHS BUT SEEMS TO INVOLVE THE SAME PROBLEM. I BELIEVE THE PROBLEM IS BROADER THAN TOYOTA HAS ACKNOWLEDGED AND THAT TOYOTA IS BEING DANGEROUSLY DILATORY IN PROVIDING NOTICE OF THE SAFETY ISSUES THAT IT ADMITS MAKE THESE CARS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. *TR

1ST INCIDENT: SITTING AT STOP LIGHT FOR A FEW MINS AS NORMAL. WHEN TIME TO ACCELERATE, THE VEHICLE STARTED LURCHING FORWARD IN A HARD JERKING MOTION. 2ND INCIDENT: SLOWER TRAFFIC. WHEN DRIVING IN SLOWER TRAFFIC OR AT SLOWER SPEEDS, ~20-35MPH THE VEHICLE WILL START LURCHING JERKING FORWARD. TOOK BACK TO DEALERSHIP FOR INSPECTION, THERE WERE NO ISSUES FOUND. DEALERSHIP RESET INTERNAL COMPUTER, STATING THAT "VEHICLE IS OPERATING NORMALLY". NEITHER HAS ISSUE HAS YET TO CAUSE AN ACCIDENT WITH ANY OTHER DRIVERS AT THIS TIME. I DO TRAVEL WITH DOGS WHO ARE HARNESSED AND SEAT-BELTED IN THE BACKSEAT, THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN THROWN TO FLOOR OF CAR IF NOT SEAT-BELTED. FOR MYSELF, I GET TOSSED FORWARD SEVERAL INCHES AND HEAD THROWN FORWARD. WHEN DRIVING IN SLOWER TRAFFIC AND/OR STOP AND GO TRAFFIC, THE CAR LURCHING/HARD JERKING FORWARD WILL EVENTUALLY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. ALL INCIDENTS HAVE HAPPEN ON DRY CITY STREETS. I WOULD ASSUME DURING THESE INCIDENTS OF THE JERKING FORWARD THAT THE BREAK LIGHTS DO NOT ALERT REAR DRIVERS THAT THE CAR IS IN A STOP/GO MOTION.

TOYOTA PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM WITH PEDESTRIAN DETECTION DOES NOT APPEAR TO WORK AS ADVERTISED. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP DUE TO THE PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM NOT SENDING A WARNING AS IT SHOULD. DEALERSHIP STATED THAT THERE WOULD MOST LIKE CAUSE DAMAGE TO MY VEHICLE IF THEY ATTEMPTED TO TEST THE SYSTEM; THE THE VEHICLE DID NOT STOP AS IT SHOULD, THEY WOULD NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DAMAGE THEY CAUSED. I ALSO CONTACTED TOYOTA DIRECTLY HOW SAID THEY COULD NOT COMMENT AND I NEED TO REFER TO THE TOYOTA DOCUMENTATION WHICH I EXPLAINED SHOW THE VEHICLE SENDING WARNINGS AND STOPPING WELL BEFORE MY VEHICLE DOES. PCS DOES NOT WORK. DEALER TESTED IT WITH AN INSTRUMENT THAT CLAIMS IT IS OK. I RECHECKED IT 4 TIMES.IT IS DYSFUNCTIONAL. SINCE IT IS A BLIND SYSTEM I SUSPECT OTHERS MAY HAVE NON OPERATIONAL SYSTEMS WITHOUT REALIZING IT. OWNER MANUAL INSTRUCTS USERS NOT TO TRY TESTING'WHICH IS ACTUALLY VERY SIMPLE AT REASONABLY SLOW SPEED OF ABOUT 25 MPH. I EXPERIENCED NO SOUND OR VISUAL WARNINGS AND NO BRAKING DURING SEVERAL TRIALS.

THE 2 INCH MULTIFUNCTION DISPLAY ON THE 2019 TOYOTA RAVV4 IS CREATING A DANGEROUS CONDITION. THE GEE-WHIZ FUEL ECONOMY DATA IS PREDOMINANTLY DISPLAYED IN THE CENTER OF THE SCREEN WHILE THE IMPORTANT AND OFTEN USED CRUISE CONTROL SPEED SETTING IS IN A BARELY READABLE SIZED FONT. PUCHASED AUTO 3/20/19 AND WITHIN A FEW MILES NOTICED THE TRANSMISSION "JUMPED" WHEN SLOWING DOWN AND THEN ACCELEREATING WITHOUT COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP (AS SOMEONE TURNING AHEAD OF YOU AND YOU SLOW DOWN BEFORE GETTING TOO CLOSE). BY "JUMPING" IT IS LIKE THE AUTO LURCHES FORWARD (DROPS A GEAR?). I DON'T NOTICE THIS AS MUCH WHEN ACCELERATING AFTER A FULL AND COMPLETE STOP. AT FIRST I THOUGHT I MIGHT BE HEAVY FOOTED FOR THE NEW CAR, BUT THIS HAS NOT BEEN THE CASE SINCE I AM NOW VERY AWARE AND TRY VERY HARD TO ACCELERATE GENTLY. I HAVE READ MANY REPORTS ONLINE OF THIS SAME PROBLEM, BUT I WANTED MY OPINION TO BE WITH THE SAFETY ORGANIZATION, NOT AN ONLINE COMPLAINT SITE.

2019 TOYOTA RAV4 SUNROOF SPONTANEOUSLY EXPLODED ON MY DAUGHTER AND ME WHILE DRIVING AT 70 MPH OVER MONUMENT PASS (7300') IN MIDDLE LANE OF I-25 SOUTH ON MAY 20, 2019. NO VEHICLES WERE IN FRONT OF US IN ANY LANE. STARTLED BY WHAT SOUNDED LIKE A GUNSHOT RIGHT ABOVE OUR HEADS, AND WE WERE SHOWERED WITH SHARDS OF GLASS IN THE FRONT SEATS AND SOME IN THE BACK SEAT FLOOR AS WELL. CAUSED BLEEDING ON MY HEAD, ARM, HAND, AND FACE PRIMARILY AS I TRIED TO SHAKE/EXTRACT THE GLASS FROM ME. 5700 MILES ON ODOMETER. VEHICLE WAS RENTED FROM NATIONAL RENTAL CAR. ABOUT AN HOUR EARLIER. THE TEMPERATURE HAD DROPPED TO NEAR FREEZING AS WE CLIMBED THE SUMMIT AND THERE WERE A FEW SNOWFLAKES STARTING TO FALL. NO HAIL WAS SEEN OR HEARD. NO HAIL (OR ANY OTHER) DAMAGE ON ANY OTHER PORTION OF THE CAR. NATIONWIDE INSURANCE VERBALLY REPORTED THERE WERE NO INCIDENTS OF HAIL REPORTED THAT AFTERNOON IN THE STATE OF CO. NO FOREIGN OBJECTS BEYOND THE SUNROOF GLASS WERE FOUND INSIDE THE CAR. PICTURES ATTACHED. ALSO HAVE FULL VIDEO OF THE CAR INSIDE AND OUT AFTER THE SUNROOF EXPLODED. *JS

I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW 2019 RAV4 LIMITED WITH 150 MILES ON THE ODOMETER, NOW HAS ABOUT 460 MILES. A FEW DAYS INTO THE PURCHASE, I NOTICED YELLOW TICK MARKED GLITCHES SHOWING UP ON MY DRIVERS CENTER MAIN CONSOLE. THIS MAIN CONSOLE DISPLAYS MY MPH, SPEED LIMIT, LTA, AND MORE. I THOUGHT NOTHING OF IT AS IT WENT AWAY FOR A FEW MINUTES WHEN I TURNED ON/OFF MY CAR, BUT IT WOULD SHOW UP AGAIN. AFTER THESE YELLOW TICK MARKS STARTED SHOWING, MY WHOLE MAIN CENTER SCREEN WILL GO BLACK WITH ONLY THE REAR SEAT BELT RED LIGHT, PARK, AND BSM LIGHTS FLASHING. IN ADDITION, MY ANALOG RPM, GAS GAUGE, AND TEMP GAUGE WERE ALL DOWN. I WAS DRIVING BLIND FOR A WHILE, UNTIL I HAD TO PULL OVER ON THE HIGHWAY/STREET TO RESTART MY CAR SO THAT I CAN SEE MY MAIN DASH (RPM,MPG,TEMP,GAS,ETC) AGAIN. SOME OF THE PICTURES THAT ARE ATTACHED WITH BLACK SCREEN ARE EXAMPLES OF MYSELF TURNING ON/OFF MY CAR WHILE I WAS STUCK IN TRAFFIC SO I COULD RESTART/SEE ALL OF MY MAIN DASH CONSOLE GAUGES, RPM,MPG, ETC. WHEN MY SCREEN GOES DARK, I HAVE TO LOOK AT THE OTHER CARS TO MATCH THEIR SPEED BECAUSE I WAS BASICALLY DRIVING BLIND. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN TO MYSELF AND MY FAMILY! I HAVE A VIDEO OF THIS SCARY OCCURRENCE, BUT THE VIDEO FILE IS TOO BIG TO ATTACH. I TOOK THE CAR IN THE DAY OF THIS STARTED TO HAPPEN AND IT CONTINUE TO SIT IN THE DEALERSHIP.

THE ENGINE OF THIS VEHICLE CAN BE TURNED OFF BY PRESSING THE KEYLESS "OFF" BUTTON ON THE DASH WITHOUT THE TRANSMISSION HAVING TO BE IN "PARK". I TURNED OFF THE ENGINE WITH THE TRANSMISSION IN THE DRIVE POSITION ON A SLIGHT INCLINE IN A SHOPPING CENTER PARKING LOT I EXITED THE CAR AND IT ROLLED BACKWARDS. I WAS ABLE TO JUMP BACK INTO THE CAR, START THE ENGINE, ROLL FORWARD, PUT IT IN PARK AND TURNED OFF THE ENGINE. HAD THIS BEEN ON A STEEPER INCLINE I WOULD NOT HAVE HAD A CHANCE TO GET BACK INTO THE CAR AND STOP IT FROM ROLLING BACKWARDS. IT COULD EASILY HAVE HIT OTHER CARS OR PEOPLE WALKING IN THE PARKING LOT. THIS IS A SCARY SITUATION AND COULD BE REMEDIED BY THE MANUFACTURERS BY ENSURING THAT THE ENGINE CAN ONLY BE TURNED OFF WITH THE TRANSMISSION IN THE PARK POSITION. THIS WAS A RENTAL CAR FROM THE DALLAS/FORT WORTH AIRPORT.
