ODOMETER - FALSE - REPORTING -MONTANA TITLE - SIGNED AND NOTARIZED BY SELLER (CARVANA) "Federal and State State Law require that the owner state the mileage of a vehicle upon transfer of ownership. If you fail to complete this disclosure or provide a false statement, you may be subject to fines and/or imprisonment." We were sold Toyota Sienna 110477 miles, however the odometer reads 206625 miles. The Vehicle VSC Engaged multiple times even at low speed of 30 mph under the road speed limit. The brake applied and even the vehicle stop to respond to the acceleration. We have 3 little kids and old parents in this vehicle.Toyota should own this problem and fix it free of charge as a factory recall.
2008 SIENNA DASHBOARD CRACKING AND IS SHINY AND STICKY. THE SHININESS PRODUCES A GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD AND IS A SAFETY HAZARD. THIS PROBLEM STARTED A FEW MONTHS AFTER THE 10 YEAR EXTENDED WARRANTY OFFERED BY TOYOTA EXPIRED. TRIED CONTACTING TOYOTA AND REFUSED TO HELP.
INSIDE DASHBOARD IS VERY STICKY AND ALWAYS SHOWS A GLARE ONTO THE WINDSHIELD WHILE DRIVING (SAFETY ISSUE); THE DASHBOARD DURING THE SUMMER TIME IS VERY MALLEABLE, IF YOU GENTLY PRESS ON IT, IT MOVES AS IF IT WAS MELTING SLOWLY. THIS HAS BEEN LIKE THIS FOR A FEW YEARS, WHEN I CONTACTED TOYOTA THEY SAID THERE WAS A REPLCEMENT PROGRAM FOR THIS IN WHICH OWNERS WERE NOTIFIED IN 2015 AND EXPIRED ON 2018, I EXPLAINED WE NEVER RECEIVED THIS NOTICE AS WE ARE AT THE SAME ADDRESS SINCE 2000 AND ARE THE ORIGINAL NEW OWNERS OF THE VAN, THEY DID NOT AGREE TO REPLACE AS THE PROGRAM HAD EXPIRED. I EXPLAINED THE SAFETY RISK NOT TO MENTION ITS A KNOW ISSUE, THEY SAID YOU DIDN'T RESPOND IN TIME SO THEY WILL NOT PAY TO HAVE IT REPLACED. THE SUPERVISOR WAS RUDE AND SAID THE SAME THING.

ALTHOUGH THE TIRES HAVE BEEN ALIGNED REGULARLY BY FIRESTONE AND TIRE PRESSURE CHECKED ONE A MONTH, THE OUTER EDGE OF THE TIRES WORE DOWN UNEVENLY. THERE ARE ONLY 9,860 MILES BEING USED ON THESE TIRES FOR 65,000 MILE WARRANTY. THE UNKNOWN PROBLEMS MAY BE ASSOCIATED WITH THE DESIGN OF THE VAN OR THE TIRES AND NEED TO BE FURTHER EXAMINED.

I HAD TO CLOSE IT TO DRIVE HOME THEN IT WOULD NOT OPEN AT ALL AFTER I GOT HOME, EVEN AFTER I DISCONNECTED THE MOTOR WITH THE BUTTON UNDER THE DASH AND TRIED TO OPERATE MANUALLY. THE DOOR IS COMPLETELY NON-FUNCTIONAL NOW. I AM CONCERNED NOW SINCE I CAN'T MOVE THE DOOR IF IT IS TRULY LATCHED AND MAY COME OPEN WHILE DRIVING, ALSO IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT IF THE VEHICLE WAS IN AN ACCIDENT AND I COULDN'T OPEN THE OTHER DOOR FOR SOME REASON THAT ANYONE IN THE BACK WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO GET OUT QUICKLY. THE MOTOR WAS WORKING (I CAN HEAR IT RUNNING) AND I CAN SEE THE SNAPPED CORRODED END OF THE CABLE SO I KNOW IT IS DEFINITELY THE CABLE AND NOT THE MOTOR OR THE DOOR LATCH. THERE IS A BIG PIECE OF CABLE HANGING OUT THE BACK OF THE DOOR NEAR THE REAR WINDOW.

THE CABLE IS CLEARLY RUSTED AND SHREDDED ON THE ONE SIDE. I CANNOT TELL WHY THE CABLE PULLED OUT AND STOPPED WORKING ON THE OTHER SIDE. AS I TRANSPORT 3 OR MORE CHILDREN AT A TIME, IT IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE THAT THE ONLY WAY OUT OF THE CAR IN CASE OF EMERGENCY IS THROUGH ONE OF THE FRONT DOORS OR THE BACK TRUNK HATCH. I HAVE OWNED THIS VEHICLE SINCE IT WAS NEW AND I AM TOLD THIS IS OUT OF WARRANTY/ISN'T COVERED AND WILL COST AT LEAST $6,000 TO FIX. I CANNOT DRIVE THE VEHICLE LIKE THIS AND I CAN'T AFFORD TO FIX IT. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED ON A LEVEL SURFACE. UPON INSPECTION OF FINDING OUT WHAT HAPPENED, THE BRAIDED CABLE APPEARED FAULTY AND WAS CORRODED. MEANWHILE THE LOSS IN TENSION RESULTED IN LOOSE CABLE PREVENTING THE DOOR FROM OPENING AND CLOSING PROPERLY. THE CABLE WAS THEN CUT BUT THE EXCESS CABLE IS HANGING OUT OF THE VEHICLE. THE DOOR IS NOW OPENED MANUALLY BUT IT IS HAVING DIFFICULTY HOLDING ITSELF WHEN OPENED. I DO HAVE THREE YOUNG CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 7 WHO FREQUENTLY USE THESE DOORS. MY CONCERN IS THAT THE DOOR OPENING IS NOT WAS I PURCHASED/EXPECT AND SECOND THE COST OF REPAIR IS VERY HIGH ($1200-$2500) WHEN HEARING THIS ISSUE HAS BECOME MORE FREQUENT IN THE LAST TWO YEARS AS THESE VEHICLES ARE SURPASSING THEIR WARRANTY EXPECTANCY. I DO NOT HAVE ANY PHOTOS BUT STILL HAVE THE FAULTY CABLE IF PICTURES ARE REQUESTED AT A LATER TIME.

MAKING LEFT TURN INTO PARKING SPOT. THE CAR WAS GOING VERY SLOWLY THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE VEHICLE EXHIBITED AN UNINTENDED ACCELERATION. VEHICLE WAS ABRUPTLY STEERED IN OPPOSITE DIRECTION TO AVOID COLLISION WITH CAR PARKED IN FRONT AND APPLIED BRAKES AGGRESSIVELY. INCIDENT HAPPENED IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PARKING LOT. FORTUNATELY, NO ONE WAS IN THE IMMEDIATE VICINITY. VEHICLE TAKEN TO TOYOTA DEALER AND WAS UNABLE TO FIND PROBLEM OR REPLICATE IT.

LTR FWD FM (IL) INQUIRING WHY HIS 2008 TOYOTA SIENNA IS NOT CURRENTLY UNDER RECALL FOR SUDDEN UNINTENDED ACCELERATION. *TGW THE CONSUMER WANTED TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCES, MECHANICALLY, TECHNOLOGICALLY AND ELECTRONICALLY BETWEEN HIS MODEL AND THOSE THAT ARE UNDER RECALL.
WE RECENTLY PURCHASED A USED 2008 TOYOTA SIENNA. JUST BEFORE 10 A.M. TODAY, I PULLED INTO THE DRIVEWAY, JUST LIKE I HAVE EVERY DAY FOR 13 YEARS, TURNED TOWARD THE GARAGE, FOLLOWING THE CURVE OF THE DRIVEWAY. I TOUCHED THE BUTTON TO OPEN THE LEFT GARAGE DOOR, JUST LIKE I ALWAYS DO. I WAS DRIVING VERY SLOWLY, BECAUSE I WAS ABOUT READY TO STOP THE CAR AND PARK IN MY DRIVEWAY. ALL OF A SUDDEN, THE CAR LURCHED FORWARD AND I THINK IT SPED UP. I DON'T KNOW WHY THE CAR WAS MOVING FORWARD! IT HAPPENED SO FAST AND I RECALL THINKING, 'OH MY GOSH, I DON'T WANT THE CAR TO GO IN THE GARAGE!!' I WAS PRESSING THE BRAKE AS HARD AS I COULD, AND I TURNED THE WHEEL TO THE RIGHT, TRYING TO AVOID THE CAR ACCELERATING INTO THE GARAGE! THE CAR HIT THE CORNER OF THE PART OF THE HOUSE THAT DIVIDES THE TWO GARAGE DOORS. IT DID STOP AND I PUT IT IN REVERSE RIGHT AWAY TO BACK UP. THE FRONT CORNER OF THAT HOUSE SECTION NOW NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED, AND A FLOWER POT (LIGHTWEIGHT STYROFOAM) BROKE WHEN I TURNED THE WHEEL THAT DIRECTION. THIS WAS A VERY FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE AND IT HAPPENED SO FAST! I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE MY CAR! I HAVE MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT BY THE TOYOTA DEALER WHERE WE BOUGHT IT. *TR

WHEN I WAS MAKING A TURN, THE VEHICLE SKIDDED AUTOMATICALLY AND COLLIDED WITH FOOTPATH. IN THAT THE TIRE, WHEEL, SUSPENSION,SENSOR AND SOME OTHER PARTS WERE DAMAGED. I TRULY THINK THAT THE FAILURE IS CAUSED BY TOYOTA SIENNA EVEN THOUGH THE VAN HAD A ABS. I TRULY THINK THAT THERE IS SOME ISSUES WITH WITH THE ABS OF TOYOTA SIENNA.
