VEHICLE AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION UPON REQUEST. TRUCK FRAME LOCATED BEHIND FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WHEEL HAS RUSTED AND DETERIORATED. THERE ARE VISIBLE PORTIONS OF THE FRAME COMPLETELY GONE. ADDITIONALLY, THE MAIN FRAME CLOSEST TO PASSENGER DOOR. METAL IS LITERALLY FALLING OFF IN MY HANDS WHEN TRYING TO DETERMINE EXTENT OF DAMAGE. THERE IS VERY LITTLE METAL CONNECTING THIS PORTION OF THE FRAME. IT'S UNSAFE TO DRIVE. PLEASE ADVISE ASAP.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE GEAR SHIFTER CEASED IN PARK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THE CONTACT WAS PROVIDED AN ESTIMATE FOR THE REPAIR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 168,287.

THERE ARE 3 RECALLS ON MY VEHICLE IN WHICH I'VE BEEN NOTIFIED ABOUT. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AND TRIED TO SET UP A DATE IN WHICH I CAN LEAVE MY VEHICLE. THE RECALL NOTIFICATION FROM TOYOTA STATED THAT I WOULD BE PROVIDED A LOANER VEHICLE WHILE THE WORK IS BEING PERFORMED, SINCE THE RUST TREATMENT WAS GOING TO TAKE 4 DAYS TO DRY. NOW SINCE I'VE REQUESTED A LOANER VEHICLE THE DEALERSHIP CONTINUES TO AVOID MY CALLS OR LET ME SPEAK WITH THE HEAD REPAIR TECHNICIAN. THE PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE HAS HAD RECALLS FOR SAFETY HAZARDS AND POTENTIAL DEATH WHILE DRIVING.
I WENT TO THE MY LOCAL TOYOTA DEALERSHIP TO REMEDY THE SUSPENSION SPRING GAS TANK PUNCTURE RECALL ON MY TOYOTA AND THEY SAID, THEY COULDN'T DO IT CAUSE MY TRUCK HAS A BODY LIFT.

THE U JOINTS ON MY 2007 TOYOTA TACOMA DETERIORATED TO THE POINT IN WHICH I WAS FORCED TO REPLACE THEM, MULTIPLE TIMES. THIS ISSUE WITH THE U-JOINTS HAS NOW LED TO AN INCREASE DETERIORATION IN MY DRIVE SHAFT AS WELL. RECENTLY, I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM THE MANUFACTURER STATING THERE WAS A RECENT RECALL ON THE ABOVE DESCRIBED U-JOINTS. UPON TAKING MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY TOLD ME SEVERAL DIFFERENT STORIES. IN THE BEGINNING, MY DRIVE SHAFT WAS SUPPOSEDLY JUST FINE AND IN NEED OF NO REPAIRS; THEY INFORMED ME THAT THEY WOULD STILL REPLACE THE U-JOINTS IN QUESTION. LATER ON THEY CHANGED THEIR STORY TO THE DRIVE SHAFT NEEDING TO BE REPLACED COMPLETELY DUE TO WEAR ON THE ITEM FROM THE FAULTY U JOINTS. AFTER EXPLAINING BACKGROUND INFORMATION THEY TOLD ME I WAS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE DRIVE SHAFT TO BE REPLACED FOR FREE; BLAMING THE DAMAGE ON A PREVIOUS MECHANIC WHO HAS BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR HIMSELF FOR OVER 35 YEARS. NOW, AS I AM WRITING THIS COMPLAINT, MY VEHICLE SITS AT THE DEALERSHIP, WITH ME UNABLE TO UTILIZE IT DUE TO THE FACT THAT THEY NOW SAY THEY WILL NOT PUT THE DRIVE SHAFT BACK ON AND I WILL HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET TO GET IT TOWED. THEY ARE TELLING ME THAT I AM NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RECALL STATUS, THEY WILL NOT PUT MY DRIVE SHAFT BACK INTO MY VEHICLE, AND THEY ARE COSTING ME AND MY FAMILY A LOT OF MONEY DUE TO THE FACT THAT MY VEHICLE IS MY LIVELYHOOD.
ON A ROUTINE COMMUTE HOME, I WAS TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH IN THE #3 LANE ON THE FREEWAY WHEN I NOTICED I LOST ACCELERATION, BUT THE ENGINE WOULD REV. IT REGAINED ACCELERATION THEN WENT AWAY AGAIN WITH A HARSH SOUND. I WAS ABLE TO SAFELY MOVE OVER TO THE SHOULDER AND INSPECTED THE VEHICLE. IT WOULD NOT MOVE IN ANY GEAR AND UPON INSPECTION OF THE UNDERSIDE, SMOKE/STEAM WAS COMING FROM THE DIFFERENTIAL AND IT WAS VERY HOT TO THE TOUCH. THE TOWING COMPANY SPENT AN HOUR TRYING TO PULL IT ONTO THE FLATBED DUE TO BOTH REAR WHEELS BEING LOCKED DESPITE ALL BRAKES BEING OFF AND THE TRANSMISSION BEING IN NEUTRAL. ONCE IT WAS DROPPED OFF AT MY RESIDENCE, I REMOVED THE THIRD MEMBER ASSEMBLY. I DISCOVERED THERE WAS NO FLUID AND THE PINION GEAR LOOKED GROUND DOWN AND THERE WERE METAL FLAKES. IT ALSO APPEARED TO BE LEAKING FROM THE PINION SEAL, SOMETHING I WAS NOT AWARE OF LEADING UP TO THE INCIDENT.

THE REAR PROPELLER SHAFT BROKE WHILE DRIVING ON HWY 2 AT 60 M.P.H. (WASHINGTON STATE). THE DRIVELINE FLAILED AROUND AND DAMAGED THE EXHAUST PIPE AND THE METAL BRACKET COMMON TO THE FUEL TANK. THIS IS A 2007 TOYOTA TACOMA 4WD. I FOUND A SAFETY RECALL FOR THIS EXACT PROBLEM NHTSA # 07V324000 THAT STATES THE PROPELLER SHAFT WAS INCORRECTLY CAST AND COULD SNAP (JUST LIKE THIS ONE DID). I CALLED TOYOTA AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD NOT COVER IT BECAUSE MY VIN DID NOT MATCH WITH THIS RECALL. THE PHOTOS I AM UPLOADING SHOWS THE SHAFT BROKEN OFF IN A CLASSIC CASE OF METAL FATIGUE DUE TO IMPROPER CASTING.

THE DEALERSHIP KNOWN AS RAMEY TOYOTA HAS MY TRUCK AND CHARGING ME WITH UNNECESSARY CHARGES ON TOWING THE VEHICLE TO THEIR FACILITY DUE TO A SPRING CLIP BECOME LOOSE ALLOWING THE VEHICLE'S RIGHT REAR WHEEL TO SWAY THEREFORE IT HAD TO BE TOWED. CONTACTED TOYOTA AUTHORIZED THE TOW AS WELL AS A VEHICLE TO RIDE SO THEY CAN REPLACE THE LEAF SPRING. TOYOTA NOW DENIES THEY AUTHORIZED THESE TWO ISSUES AND LEFT ME WITH HOLDING THE CHARGES. THEY CALLED THE TOWING SERVICE AND NOT I SO THEREFORE I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE. PLEASE NOTE ALL THE AGGRAVATION CAUSED FROM THE ABOVE AND ADDED DANGER FROM THIS VEHICLE IS THE RUST ON THE FRAME! AFTER A COUPLE OF MONTHS I STARTED EXPERIENCING A LOUD "SQUEAK" COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE AND A "WHISTLE" AT SPEEDS OF 65-80MPH. I CONTACTED DEALER AND TOOK IT IN FOR THEM TO TROUBLESHOOT THE ISSUES. AFTER ABOUT 4 MONTHS OF OWNERSHIP ALONG WITH THE ABOVE MENTIONED PROBLEMS I STARTED NOTICING A HEAVY VIBRATION AT SLOW SPEEDS. I BOUGHT NEW TIRES, FRONT END ALIGNMENT, AND HAD TIRES BALANCED AS PER MY DEALERS RECOMMENDATION. THEN THE ACCELERATION ISSUES STARTED..... I TOOK IT BACK TO MY DEALERSHIP AND THEY PERFORMED THE "FLOOR MAT FIX". THE VIBRATIONS JUST KEPT GETTING WORSE AND THE CONSTANT VISITS TO MY DEALER AND CALLS TO TOYOTA'S CORPORATE OFFICE ALWAYS ENDING WITH THE "THAT'S NORMAL FOR THESE TRUCKS" SAYING. THE OTHER DAY I WAS RETURNING HOME AND I WAS APPROACHING A CURVE I REMOVED MY FOOT FROM THE ACCELERATOR AND DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND SLOWED DOWN TO TAKE THE CURVE, I WENT TO ACCELERATE THROUGH THE CURVE AND MY TRUCK WAS NOT TURNING. THE REAR TIRES WERE LOCKED EVEN THOUGH MY FOOT WAS OFF THE BRAKE WHICH BY THAT HAPPENING I HAD NO CONTROL OVER WHERE I WAS GOING. ... I ENDED UP NOT BEING ABLE TO STEER AROUND THE CURVE AND WENT STRAIGHT THROUGH SOMEONE'S YARD TAKING OUT A MAILBOX AND SLIDING SIDEWAYS INTO A TREE CRUSHING THE PASSENGER SIDE OF MY TRUCK. CALLED TOYOTA'S CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND REPORTED THE LOCKING UP OFF MY REAR END, THE FAILURE OF THE ANTI LOCK SYSTEM, AND THE LOSS OF STEERING. I BOUGHT MY TRUCK USED. A TOTAL OF FIVE TIMES I'VE TAKEN IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE OF SUSPENSION ISSUES. EACH TIME I WAS TOLD THERE'S NOTHING WRONG. MY DRIVE SHAFT WAS REPLACED A YEAR AGO. I NOTICED THE LEAF SPRING STICKING OUT AND BROKEN. I TOOK MY TRUCK STRAIGHT IN. I WAS TOLD THE TRUCK WAS UNDRIVABLE. TOYOTA GAVE ME A RENTAL AND REPLACED THE LEAF SPRINGS. I PICKED MY TRUCK UP THREE DAYS LATER THINKING THE PROBLEM WAS FIXED THEN TWO DAYS AFTER THAT, MY TRUCK FELT LOOSE AND WAS MAKING A POPPING SOUND WHEN I PUT IT INTO REVERSE. IT FELT LIKE THE DRIVE LINE WAS OUT AGAIN. I TOOK IT TO BE LOOKED AT AGAIN. I WAS TOLD MY DRIVELINE U BOLT SNAPPED AND WAS CAUSED BY THE BROKEN LEAF SPRING. TOYOTA WOULDN'T FIX THE DAMAGES BECAUSE THE SHOP THEY RECOMMENDED DIDN'T USE TOYOTA PARTS. MY TRUCK HAD 250000 MILES ON IT. THE DAMAGES TO MY TRUCK WERE ADD DO EXTREME THAT I HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO GIVE IT BACK TO THE BANK. THE VIBRATIONS CAUSED TRANNY DAMAGE AND THE AXLES AND DIFFERENTIAL THE FRAME HAD DAMAGE BECAUSE THE LEAF SPRING WAS SHOVED UP INTO IT.(I WASN'T TOLD UNTIL AFTER) NO I'VE GOT NOTHING..... WHILE STOPPED TO TAKE A TICKET BEFORE ENTERING A GARAGE, WITH THE CAR IN NEUTRAL AND MY RIGHT FOOT ON THE BRAKE, THE ENGINE TWICE ACCELERATED TO OVER 6,000 RPMS. THE ACCELERATION LASTED ABOUT 3 OR 4 SECONDS BEFORE THE ENGINE RETURNED TO NORMAL IDLE. MY FOOT WAS NOT ON THE GAS PEDAL, BUT RATHER ON THE BRAKE. MY TACOMA HAS A STANDARD TRANSMISSION. LAST WEEK, THE SAME THING HAPPENED AS I APPROACHED A STOP SIGN - CAR IN NEUTRAL, FOOT ON THE BRAKE, NOT ON THE ACCELERATOR, AND THE ENGINE ZOOMED TO 6K RPMS. I CONTACTED THE DEALER WHERE I BOUGHT THE TRUCK NEW IN 2007 AND WHO HAS SERVICED THE VEHICLE EVERY 5K MILES SINCE PURCHASE AND I HAVE A SERVICE APPOINTMENT FOR THIS FRIDAY. ALL THE INFORMATION I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO READ ABOUT TOYOTA AND THIS PROBLEM IS FROM A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO AND REFERENCES TOYOTA'S COVER UP OF THE ISSUE, ETC. THE CONSUMER STATED HE CHECKED UNDER THE VEHICLE, BUT DIDN'T SEE ANY VISUAL LEAKS. AS HE PROCEEDED TO SLIDE FROM UNDER THE TRUCK, THE FRONT TIRE ROLLED OVER HIS HEAD AND CHEST. THE TRUCK ROLLED ACROSS THE STREET AND HIT A STREET SIGN. THE CONSUMER STATED HE AND A FRIEND RE-CREATED THE INCIDENT. THE CONSUMER STATED WHEN THE FRIEND TOUCHED A LINKAGE, HE SAW THE SHIFTER MOVE TOWARD THE BACK OF THE TRUCK, STAYING IN THE SLOT FOR PARK. THE TRUCK THEN ROLLED WHILE MAKING A CLICKING NOISE. THE CONSUMER APPLIED THE BRAKE AND THE TRUCK STOPPED, HE PUSHED THE SHIFTER FORWARD AND THE TRUCK RE-ENGAGED INTO PARK. THE CONSUMER STATED HE COULD ONLY RE-CREATE THE PROBLEM, WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED ON AN INCLINE. THE TRUCK HAD APPROXIMATELY 62,000 MILES WHEN WE DROVE IT TO FLORIDA CHRISTMAS DAY. ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 30TH, WE RAN SOME ERRANDS THAT COVERED ABOUT 15 MILES OF CITY DRIVING. UPON RETURNING TO OUR HOTEL, AS WE BACKED IN TO A PARKING SPACE, THE TRUCK ACCELERATED WILDLY. THE TIRES SCREAMED AS WE BACKED UP ONTO A PARKING BERM (PICTURES INCLUDED) AND CONTINUED TO SQUEAL WHILE MY FOOT WAS STANDING ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. I PUT THE TRUCK IN DRIVE, THE TRUCK CAME OFF OF THE BERM, BUT THE TIRES WERE STILL SQUEALING ALL THE WHILE I'M STILL STANDING ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. I PUT IT IN PARK RIGHT AWAY AND SHUT IT OFF. LOOKING DOWN AT THE PEDALS, THERE WAS NOTHING UNUSUAL TO NOTE. NO MATS HAD MOVED AND THE PEDALS WERE AS THEY SHOULD BE. IF IT WERE NOT FOR THE BERM, THERE IS NO TELLING OF WHAT THE CONSEQUENCES WOULD HAVE BEEN. I RECALL THAT AS WE BACKED IN, MY FOOT WAS EITHER ABOUT TO STEP ON THE BRAKE PEDAL OR I HAD ALREADY BEGUN TO BRAKE. MY FOOT WAS NOT ON THE ACCELERATOR BECAUSE, WITH THE AIR CONDITIONER ON, THE ENGINE HAS SUFFICIENT RPM'S TO SLOWLY MOVE THE TRUCK WITHOUT IT. I WENT OUT A FEW HOURS LATER TO START THE TRUCK AND MOVE IT BACK AND FORTH. AT THAT TIME, EVERYTHING SEEMED FINE. I ALSO TOOK PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE BERM AND TIRES AT THAT TIME, WHICH I CAN SUPPLY. THIS WAS A VERY UNNERVING EXPERIENCE AND I'VE BEEN MINDFUL OF IT SINCE. EVEN THOUGH IT HAS BEEN A COUPLE OF WEEKS SINCE THE INCIDENT, I'M UNSURE I CAN HAVE FAITH THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN. I TOOK IT TO THE TOYOTA DEARER SHIP AND THEY KEEP IT ALMOST 2 WEEKS AND FIRST SAID IT WAS THE TIRES, AND THEN THE TRANSMISSION AND THEN THE WHEELS AND THEN MAYBE IF I SPENT THE MONEY AND PUT A NEW DRIVE LINE ON THAT MIGHT FIX THE PROBLEM BUT NOT SURE. WHILE 2) AND 3) ARE MORE OF AN ANNOYANCE LIKELY DUE TO POOR ENGINE CONTROL SOFTWARE, 1) IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN IN THAT ENGINE SPEED (AND VEHICLE SPEED) CONTINUE TO INCREASE DESPITE THE CLUTCH PEDAL BEING DEPRESSED. "GOOSING" THE ACCELERATOR DOES NOT APPEAR TO HAVE ANY EFFECT--THE ENGINE RPMS WAIT SEVERAL SECONDS BEFORE FALLING. I INFORMED HIM THAT THE ONLY MAT WAS THE MAT THAT CAME WITH THE TRUCK , I WAS INFORMED THAT I WOULD HAVE TO DROP OFF MY VEHICLE AND LEAVE IT UNTIL SOMEONE WENT OVER IT. I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT THIS WOULD TAKE ABOUT ONE DAY OR MORE, AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO FILL OUT A BUNCH OF FORM'S FIRST. RESEARCH INDICATED THERE WERE TSB'S FOR A SIMILAR PROBLEM AT A LITTLE HIGHER SPEED WHICH EXTENDED THE WARRANTY TO 5 YEARS OR 80,000 MILES. I WAS FIRST TOLD BY THE LOCAL TOYOTA DEALERSHIP THAT THE PROBLEM WAS A RUBBER INSULATOR ENGINE MOUNT IN THE TRANSMISSION. I WAS LATER TOLD WHEN THE TRUCK WAS IN FOR REPAIR THAT THE PROBLEM WAS NOT THAT. THE PROBLEM WAS NOW ONE OF THE U JOINTS WAS NOT TURNING LIKE IT SHOULD. THE REPAIR RECOMMENDATION WAS REPLACE THE DRIVE SHAFT AND 3 U JOINTS AT A COST OF ABOUT $1,000.00. I ENDED UP SPENDING $731.00 AND TOYOTA PAID THE REST. THE REPAIR BILL STATES "DRIVE SHAFT FROZE". I TURNED THE TRUCK OFF, AND RESTARTED IT. IT STARTED NORMALLY, AND I HAD NO MORE PROBLEMS WITH IT. THIS HAPPENED IN THE SUMMER OF 2009, AND HASN'T HAPPENED SINCE. I MARKED IT UP AS BEING SOME STRANGE ELETRO-MECHANICAL ANOMOLY, BUT AFTER RECEIVING TOYOTA'S RIDICULOUS 'FLOOR-MAT' EXPLANATION AND HEARING HOW WIDE-SPREAD THIS PROBLEM WAS, I WANTED TO GO ON RECORD THAT THE 2007 TOYOTA TACOMA SUFFERS FROM THE SAME UNEXPLAINED SAFETY HAZARD AS THE VEHICLES LISTED IN THE JANUARY 2010 TOYOTA RECALL. OF THE FOUR TIMES THIS HAS HAPPENED OVER THE LAST FOUR MONTHS, THE ENGINE ACTUALLY DIED DUE TO THE BRAKES STOPPING THE TRUCK WHILE THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WAS STILL TRYING TO DRIVE THE TRUCK FORWARD. TWICE THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPED INTO ITS IDLE STATE BY ITSELF DURING MY STOPPING AND ONCE I SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL SO I COULD STOP THE TRUCK. MY PROBLEM DEALS WITH A 2007, TACOMA, X-CAB, PRERUNNER, V6, THAT'S EQUIPPED WITH LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL. THE PROBLEM IS THAT EVERY TIME THAT I PARKED THE VEHICLE AND GET BACK INTO IT, START THE VEHICLE, AND RELEASES THE PARKING BRAKES'THERE'S A GRABBING FEELING/NOISE IN THE REAR END OF THE TRUCK. I PURCHASED MY TRUCK FROM TOYOTA OF WALDORF ON JULY 19, 2007. ON THE WAY HOME FROM THE DEALER I NOTED A SEVERE WIND WHISTLE AT APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH AND ABOVE. AT THIS TIME THE TRUCK HAD 800 MILES ON IT. THE FOLLOWING DAY, AUGUST 16, 2007, WHILE DRIVING THE TRUCK I STOPPED FOR A RED TRAFFIC SIGNAL. WHILE STOPPED AT THE SIGNAL THE TRUCK REMAINED IN DRIVE. WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN, I ACCELERATED AND THE VEHICLE MOMENTARILY ACTED AS IF IT WAS IN NEUTRAL SLAMMING INTO GEAR AND LURCHING FORWARD. THEREAFTER, THE PROBLEM REPEATED ITSELF THE ENTIRE TRIP HOME. THE VEHICLE ALSO WAS SHIFTING ERRATICALLY. I ALSO NOTED AFTER THE INCIDENT, HAVING SET THE ODOMETER TO ZERO THE LAST TIME I FILLED THE TANK WITH GAS, THAT I WAS GETTING APPROXIMATELY 9 MILES TO THE GALLON IN MOSTLY HIGHWAY DRIVING. THE TRUCK ALSO HAS NEVER SEEMED TO TRACK THE ROAD EASILY. I REPORTED ALL OF THE ABOVE PROBLEMS TO THE DEALERS (WALDORF TOYOTA) SERVICE DEPARTMENTS REPRESENTATIVES MARY PRICHETT AND JIM CLEMENS. THEY HAD THE TRUCK TOWED TO THEIR FACILITY, WALDORF TOYOTA FOR REPAIR. I BELIEVE IT WAS AUGUST 20, 2007 THAT I NOTIFIED TOYOTA IN CALIFORNIA. NICOLE OF TOYOTA'S CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE CENTER ASSIGNED ME CASE NUMBER 200708201412. THE FOLLOWING DAY I WAS CONTACTED BY MY TOYOTA ASSIGNED CASE MANAGER KEVIN SPILLANE. AS I UNDERSTAND IT, FROM MIKE PAVIN, THE SERVICE MANAGER, WALDORF TOYOTA'S IS TRYING TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. ADDITIONALLY I WAS INFORMED AUGUST 21, 2007 BY MIKE PAVIN THAT A NEW TRANSMISSION WAS BEING INSTALLED IN THE TRUCK. THE NEW TRANSMISSION WAS INSTALLED AND TESTED AND I WAS INFORMED AUG. 24, 2007 BY THE SERVICE MANAGER THAT THEY ARE STILL GETTING THE TROUBLE CODE AND STILL HAVE NO FIX FOR THE PROBLEM. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. I BELIEVE THAT SOMEONE IS GOING TO BE KILLED UNLESS THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT MAKES TOYOTA OWN UP AND FIX THIS PROBLEM. THIS HAS CAUSED NUMEROUS NEAR ACCIDENTS WITH VEHICLES IN FRONT OF ME, MY GARAGE DOOR AND THE WORK BENCH IN MY GARAGE. VEHICLE IDLES EXTREMELY FAST (1500 RPM) WHEN COLD WHICH IS DANGEROUS ON SLIPPERY ROADS AND HAS CAUSED ME TO SLIDE THROUGH STOP SIGNS. VEHICLE IDLES ROUGH, DOESN'T MATTER IF AC IS ON OR OFF. VEHICLE HAS A HARSH STUTTER SHIFT BETWEEN 1ST AND 2ND. VEHICLE HAS A VERY NOTICEABLE VIBRATION AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 15 AND 25 MPH. THIS VIBRATION OCCURS WHEN ACCELERATING, DRIVING AT A CONSTANT SPEED OR DECELERATING. THE VIBRATION OCCURS WHETHER BRAKING OR NOT. THE VEHICLE FEELS LIKE IT IS ENGINE BRAKING WHEN LETTING UP ON THE ACCELERATOR. THIS IS MOST NOTICEABLE AT SPEEDS 40 MPH OR SLOWER. IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD ON ICY ROADS. ALL THESE PROBLEMS BEGAN AFTER THE VEHICLE HAD 500 MILES ON IT. THE DEALER WAS MADE AWARE OF THESE ISSUES AND TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER SAID THEY COULD NOT DETECT ANY OF THE PROBLEMS. ALSO, THE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT TIRES ARE TERRIBLE IN SNOW. *JB
