While driving I noticed a slight knock, about 10 miles further down the road the dash said engine has stopped pull over. No check engine or other lights were illuminated before or after this. The truck had a terrible noise when I tried to restart it, but it would not turn back on

Transmission smells like burning plastic when towing even a small trailer under 5000 pounds. Toyota refuses there is a problem.

On light acceleration to maintain speed or flow of traffic, there is a drivetrain shudder the reverberates through the entire truck. It most noticeable when coming up grades of any kind, but can be replicated in most driving situations.

The engine periodically lags and is not responsive when pedal is pressed. When the engine catches up, the RPMs skyrocket.

After making a complete stop, there is an extended delay around 3 seconds before the truck responds to the gas pedal being pressed. When it does respond it launches forward and causes the tires to break free. This has almost caused at least 7 accidents.
