While I was driving on the highway, the EPC light came on and the car began to lose power. It went into "limp" mode and lost all oil. I had it diagnosed at VW Carlock North Nashville. They told me the "exhaust camshaft cover bolts backed themselves out causing oil to get into timing belt and make belt swell causing it to lose tension and sheer timing belt, must replace timing belt, timing belt tensioner, timing belt idle pulley, exhaust camshaft cover bolts." This is barely out of warranty and the car has 46,000 miles. Why would the camshaft cover bolts simply come out? This is extremely dangerous, and the cost to repair it will exceed $3000. I am beyond frustrated.
The panoramic sunroof randomly shattered while driving. Nothing hit it, and it wasnt opened or cracked.
When switching the gear in reverse. The car's reverse transmission locks then all of the sudden makes big thump sound and sudden rush of torque/power burst while reversing. It nearly hit a pedestrian if I wasn't careful
My 2019 Volkswagen Jetta cannot be refueled — gas nozzle clicks off instantly or overflows. The check engine light came on, and VW Corporate confirmed code P00FE, indicating a failure of the EVAP system vent valve. This is a sealed emissions component integrated with the fuel tank. Dealership initially claimed there were “no codes,” but a video shows their technician confirming the EVAP code, disconnecting the EVAP system, and concluding the tank must be replaced. However, since the valve is a powered solenoid, unplugging the system wouldn't allow it to open — this invalidates their test and diagnosis. VW has denied warranty coverage even though the issue clearly falls under the 8-year/80,000-mile federal emissions warranty as defined by the EPA and VW’s own documentation. I also discovered they misrepresented an active recall (#28H7) and falsely told me I had none. VW Customer Care told me about the recall and informed the dealership. VW Customer Care informed me 7/9/25 that the recall had been repaired. Carfax yesterday and your system today show that it still has not been repaired. This is a safety hazard. I cannot refuel reliably, and the dealership is denying coverage while refusing to provide written documentation or a breakdown of findings. My car is disabled and stranded at the dealership since July 24, 2025 and they will barely communicate.
Without any warning whatsoever the entire electrical system goes completely off while driving the vehicle after 5 mins of it being on. This means that the lights including blinker and brake lights go off, air conditioning stops, and the entire dashboard goes off. The engine is still able to run. I am able to use the gas and breaks but I do not know what my speed is or any other information that is typically available via the dashboard. I have tried to do a reset when the problem occurs but that does not help the situation. The safety of myself and others is definitely at risk when this happens since the break lights and turning signal will no longer function at all. I can only use the hazard lights to indicate the hazard this presents. I’ve brought this issue up to multiple Volkswagen dealerships having paid the $200 diagnostics fee every time and they inform me that they are not recognizing the issue. I ask if this has anything to do with a recall that had happened to this car and been “fixed” in 2021 and they do not answer the question. I ask if it is possible that the recall was not fixed correctly and that is why I am having issues and they do not answer the question. I have also emailed customer support at Volkswagen worldwide and they state that my car never had any recalls done which is so incredibly false. I have the paperwork to confirm that it had a total of 6 different recalls done in 2021. I believe one of the recalls was never fixed properly and has only deteriorated worse since 2021. Volkswagen dealership of San Bernardino does not give any codes or anything that is more specific than possible alert to car battery/terminals/cables/clamps issues. Their recommendation was to change the car battery but that was already replaced in Aug 2024. They also recommended to change my oil filter but I had an oil change less than 5 days before at a different location. The pep boys diagnostic Revealed code P253200 which indicates a problem with the ignition switch

Recall emmissions on the evap purge valve with hose assembly. I am having issues under this recall for the 2019 Volswagen Jetta only my VIN number is not included in the recall but I am experiencing the same code and issues. Volkswagen will not honor the recall because my VIN is not included on this overwhelming problem they have with this issue. Light has been going on and off for over a year.
The 2019 VW Jetta has a MASSIVE safety issue that is caused by the Andriod Auto feature/software within the vehicle. When driving (for about 45 minutes - 60 minutes) the Android Auto feature will shut off when a cell phone is fully plugged into the vehicle (via USB cable). Therefore, the Android Auto issue is fully unavailable for drivers. This is an absolute beyond massive safety concern because a cell phone is not 'hands-free' for a driver. This issue has been addressed online and it seems that there is no solution. Buying a new USB charging cord, software update, etc. This issue is caused by the internal system in the 2019 VW Jetta. Hope this makes sense. But please read articles found online. This issue needs to be resolved ASAP. Especially due to the fact that a cell phone is no longer hands-free, and the use of navigation (Google Maps) is no longer available. I am clearly not the only one with this issue with the vehicle. This HAS TO be investigated as this issue could cause an accident in the future, no doubt. [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
I purchased a new 2019 VW Jetta GLI. Since the first day I bought the car four years ago, whenever I call someone or receive a call, and my iPhone is plugged in to the USB socket to connect to hands-free calling, the person on the other end hears a very big echo and voice lag. 100% of the time this happens. I end up having to hang up and call just using the speaker on my phone because no one can stand the giant echo reverb they hear on their end. I have brought the car into a few different VW dealerships to have this fixed and they never fix it. I paid $500 to a local mechanic to have the entire hardware unit replaced with a new VW --manufactured unit and the problem still exists. I googled to see if other owners of a 2019 VW Jetta are having this issue and it appears to be a very, very widespread and persistent problem across the entire brand. VW has known about this problem for five years! They do not fix it ever. They need to be forced into fixing it by a government agency like you please! This is a safety and legal issue, since I am not able to use the hands-free calling feature in my car. It is illegal in my state to use a cell phone while driving unless it is a hands-free call. If you google this problem, you will find thousands of owners with this problem. Please issue a recall as it is a safety issue and a legal liability. Thank you! My starter and gear shift have been malfunctioning, the starter barely turns over and the gearshift sends out a warning to only exit the vehicle in ‘P’ position…
When accelerating from 1st gear to 2nd gear, the gear gets stuck.. Rpms spike high and the car won't go any faster until it gets unstuck. This has caused issues while in traffic, nearly getting ran over by cars behind me. I can't accelerate as normal when pulling onto a road, there's the risk that the transmission gets stuck and I can't move forward. This car is only 5 years old.
I took my car for ignition switch recall but after one month I have same issue tge car won't start
There is a yellow triangle caution light keep coming up and it stated that I should park safely and please service vehicle. I think its the shift level causing that warning ⚠️ to appear.
I keep getting a message on my dash saying ONLY EXIT VEHICLE IN “P” Position. Please Service Vehicle.
I know there is a Shift Lever Micro Switch Recall for the Volkswagen Jetta up to the year 2018. My car is the 2019 model and I am getting the error message for this issue. Can the recall be expanded to include the 2019 model? For now, I am setting my parking brake to keep my car from possibly rolling when I park.
The car is making a weird sound when I break. It sounds like liquid is moving around and another sound. The central caution off in my car and the airbags too
VEHICLE SHUTS DOWN WHILE DRIVING. ALL ELECTRICAL TURNS OFF, DASHBOARD GOES DARK CODE READS STARTER SYSTEM FAULTY, IGNITION SWITCHED OFF, PLEASE SERVICE VEHICLE
There has been a recall out on my vehicle for the past 6 months. Previous to this recall being announced by Volkswagen I had issues with my vehicle starting, the dealership determined it was the ignition switch and replaced it out of my pocket. Since this recall being out I have noticed the same issue starting to come back. I have been in person to my local dealership and spoken to many managers as well as waited HOURS trying to contact VW Corporate. I have exhausted all ends and ultimately VW has put me into a position where my vehicle is no a reliable car to drive on day to day life having responsibilities. They have stated that I can have the current issue fixed (the recall) but it will be replaced with the same part and come out of my pocket as well as saying that I will run into this issue again until VW Corporate has come out with a solution and so far it has taken 6 months. I have waited patiently, as we all know, as time goes on the issue is progressing. My local dealership keeps trying to get me to trade in my vehicle but I should not have to take more money out of my pocket when this is a RECALL to begin with.
Manufacture hasn’t come up with repairs my car turns off complete while driving. I haven’t been able to drive it because I’m scared of being or cause an accident please help
I had been having issues with car turning off while I was driving, at times leaving me stuck at a red light or stop sign. I’d get a warning on my car that said “Please check the starter system”. At times, my car wouldn’t start at all. This issue had been happening since around March 2023 and it’s the end of July 2023, my car stopped turning on completely. I have not been able to use my car. A recall was issued for the problems I had been having in September 2023. I haven’t been able to use my car in almost 6 months
The recall was in August 2023. I was told the part was not in yet. I recently tried again. Still no part in and it’s going on November 2023. I have gotten the run around, my calls go unanswered, no one available to talk to. No one knows what’s going on with this recall from the dealer service supervisor to VW recall to VW customer service.
Unknown, there has been no remedy for this recall for more than a month
On hot days, has happened multiple times. At parking lot, car did not turn on first two attempts, finally when on, then electrical shuts off. Starter system faulty message service vehicle. Stuck key in and out, several attempts: Got car to turn on. Moved it to shade as electrical shut off. Once cooled turn back on. Other instance, while driving on highway the dasboard, gauges, electronics info system shut off. AC and Engine remained on. No turn signals availability. Happened during day time; I assume brake lights not working either. Pulled over, called dealer, said it's safety feature Temp Sensor when its hot outside car will shut off. Issue for months now. Prior to this P Position message yellow triangle exclamation point. Shifter moved bach and forth along with turning key ignition several time ( cooler weather period). May or may not be related. Service engine soon pops up. The Car always has oil changes, antifreeze, and filters up to date. Car has new battery. Alternator is working properly. No indication its the starter. Still having issue. I had car towed to VW dealership as I read about recall. Misunderstanding, they will not work on it as recall is not active. Key Ignition Switch: no solution status. I had car towed because the associate at VW stated it would be worked on and recall set for October 2023 to be honored. The solution is not to have car remain in shade, or wait for recall to be active. VW must be awareof issue: temp senor, ignition key switch/system and possible shifter. Not safe to at all. Cars can hit you during this event with no brakes, sometimes shuuting off or be left stranded.
Car engine stalling while driving and failure of the EPS/EPC light comes on When attempted to start the car warning start stop system malfunctioning unable to start at times

While driving, ignition shuts off. Vehicle relays “ignition off” message. Has only happened on 85+ degree days while car is in the sun. No mechanic has been able to diagnose and fix the issue
My 2019 Volkwagen Jetta Sunroof shattered, while I was driving on the highway. It sounded like a shotgun sound, when it happened. I've only owned this car for 2 years. Also, I only drive 60 miles per hour, never any higher. Thank you, [XXX] Downers Grove, IL INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
Door lock actuator is breaking and it’s a hit or miss on locking the door.
When vehicle would be in heat of over 80 degrees, car would start, I would start driving, then an alert saying “Check Starter System” would occur and all electrics would shut off. Couldn’t use turn signals or anything. Happened a few times and my car would sometimes even shut off completely if it occurred as I was stopped/at a red light. Took it to a mechanic that said it was the ignition switch/relay that was overheating and causing the problem. So original ignition switch on the car was the problem while under warm weather.
“Please check starter system “ error popped up and the dashboard died , AC died but the car kept running saying please drive to safety
Driving at 30 mph in 100 degree heat, a/c shut off, and a "check the starter system" warning appeared on my display. The temperature gauge flattened to cold as well.
The ignition switch for my 2019 Jetta randomly went out, while driving the vehicle in the middle of summer, this caused the AC and radio to go out, as well as the spedometer and other tracking system on the dashboard to display as if the car was not on when the engine was still running. I have read online in several places that this is a common issue for the 2019 Jettas and at this point the ignition switch failure should be treated as a recall. Volkswagon service initially diagnosed as faulty battery which did not resolve the issue and the same thing happened 7 days and $300 later. I was able to find the issue with a quick google search.
Car shut off but still running while driving. Check the starter system came on. Did it twice. Not sure because of heat but dash board and a/c shuts off but car still running.
When it's really hot outside my car while just shut off while driving. Then I get a "Please check the starter system" message. The radio,ac, and eveything electrical turns off as well. This is the second time it has happened in a month.
Engine started and running but no lights on dashboard ac and signals not working even windows not rolling Message displayed as check starter system
When the car sits in direct sunlight and the interior temperature raises above 100F, the car will start and all is well for a minute or so and then the ignition fails. Dash says check starter system and all gauges, clusters, infotainment system, interior and exterior lights turn off. The car thinks that it is off electronically but it still runs, shifts, and drives. Attached photo was taken after I left home, traveling on highway at ~55mph.
Driving my car in 85+ degree weather and an alert came on that said “check starter system,” “find a safe place to park,” “ignition shutting off.” My car shut off on the highway. A quick google search found that hundreds of people with 2019 jettas were having this exact same problem. This issue has now happened twice with my car, both when temperatures exceeded 85 degrees.
The windshield cracked while car was sitting in my driveway. At 8:30am it was fine. At 3pm there was a very large crack. No mark from rock, pebble or object of any kind is present. Car is available for inspection. Safety put at risk should the crack cause a weakened windshield to fall out of frame. No inspections have been performed yet.
Vehicle parked under the sun, temperature reaching 85 degree, hotter inside the cabin. Vehicle started with no issues but "Check starter system" warning comes up and all the electrical component shut off its power, including all the gauge in the dashboard and radio. Headlight is not working as well after few min. Car drives (manual transmission) with no issues. When the car is placed under the shade/cools down, shows no problems. Some of owners reported the faulty ignition switch, part number 5Q1-905-865-A. Google search of "2019 Jetta check starter system" results in multiple complaints. The part in question is in national back order, suggesting the issue is more wide spread.
As I was driving on the highway 101 in Bay Area California, suddenly the sunroof glass exploded and the fragments were deposited on the under cover. No weather related issues at the time. Did not feel any debris hitting the car either. Seems like a manufacturing defect. Vehicle still under warranty.
Moonroof exploded leavin shards of glass all over, no rocks hit car no bumps no explanation, I was just driving on a flat surface around 30 MPH, I heard a loud explosion and glass was everywhere including my arms and face. I nearly caused an accident with the sudden explosion.
Unknown. I took my car in for recall repairs and they repaired all but the one listed on this site which seems kind of important
Like MANY people have experienced, I was driving on the highway when the sunroof glass suddenly exploded. It was terrifying and the startled reaction could easily have caused a serious highway speed crash. There was no obvious reason for the failure of the glass but having shattered glass fall in my lap was scary.
The heating/air conditioner has failed twice within one year preventing defrost during incliment weather especially rain and frost.
I stopped at a red light and when it turned green the car wouldn't move and the RPM's were hung. I was almost rear ended and stuck in an intersection due to this failure. After getting the car to go about 5 MPH without being able to switch gears I was able to pull over to a safer location. I had the car towed to my dealer but they deemed it was a wear and tear issue and blamed bad driving style and cost $3,130 to replace the clutch and flywheel. There were no signs of wear on the clutch and no vehicle indications from the control panel. In addition, the car was brought in for a tire rotation and complementary VW multi-point inspection with no issues cited just a week before this failure.
I have a 2019 Jetta R line Series, last year in the winter time the casing for the driver side mirror melted. I went 2 times to Volkswagen, and to other body and paint shops and no one has seen anything like this before? Finally I had to file a claim for Vandalism. I had to pay $750 to the body shop and it was repaired. All Summer, Spring, and Fall, it was fine. Well It happened again on the same side and almost exactly 1 year later from the first one. Took it Volkswagen after speaking Customer Service as an elevated evaluation. I was there for 2 hours, the conclusion again is that "It's an OUTSIDE INFLUENCE" I have done a lot of research and found that other makes and models have had this happen as well. All the other car makers gave the stock answer "OUTSIDE INFLUENCE"! How does this happen twice to the same car. I am on Disability, and hardly drive. Right now I only have 8 thousand miles on the car. I go to the supermarket park in handicap and come home and park in handicap. There is something wrong with this car and I'm afraid that something may catch on fire. The only other thing I can think of is that it has something to do with the main heater and defroster for the whole car. It got very cold here and I had to use both the heated and defroster. Now it has almost completely melted. -- [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
While driving our 2019 Volkswagen Jetta R-Line on East on I-40 we heard a loud explosion (like a gunshot) and glass rained down on the interior of our car from the sunroof. We pulled off the interstate at Exit 242, to call the Arkansas State Troopers. They arrived, checked the interior of the car for any object that could possibly have caused the damage and found nothing. They filed an incident report on our behalf D-08121-422 or D-08/21-422. Report will be ready in eight days.
Once I parked my 2019 VW Jetta, the dashboard had "YELLOW" triangle image. The error message displayed states: ONLY EXIT VEHICLE IN "P" POSITION. PLEASE SERVICE VEHICLE. I purchased this vehicle from Avis Rentals and Sales in 9/2020. I haven't had an issues with the vehicle and it didn't come with a service warranty. I entered my VIN and it states no recalls; however, I've checked and at some point there was a recall but it looks like my VIN was not entered.
AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE IT SIMPLY STALLS FROM THE BEGINNING. I HAVE TO CONTINUOUSLY PRESS THE GAS PETAL TO GET IT TO GO. ONCE IT IS RUNNING AND I COME TO A COMPLETE STOP IT WILL STALL AGAIN WHEN I TRY TO GO FORWARD AND PROCESS REPEATS ITSELF. ALSO, ONCE IN MOTION SOMETIMES THE ENGINE ( SEEMS LIKE THE TRANSMISSION) SEEMS TO SLIP INTO ANOTHER GEAR. I AM PETRIFIED TO DRIVE THE CAR BECAUSE OF THE STALLING. I HAVE ALMOST BEEN HIT NUMEROUS AMOUNTS OF TIMES. SOMETIMES FROM A TAKEOFF POSITION IT SIMPLY WILL NOT GO. IT IS A HORRIFYING EXPERIENCE. I HAVE ALREADY REPORTED THE GRINDING NOISE THAT THE CAR MAKES BETWEEN 20 AND 40 MILES PER HOUR. I TOOK IT TO BE SERVICED FOR THE GRINDING NOISE AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG. THEY RODE WITH ME ON ONE OCCASION AND SAW THAT IT STALLED BUT THEY STATED IT WAS BECAUSE I DID NOT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE THAT KIND OF ENGINE. I FEEL THAT I AM GOING TO DIE OR BE SERIOUSLY INJURED IN THIS VEHICLE. I BOUGHT THIS CAR NEW AND PAID CASH. NO WORDS TO SAY HOW DEVASTATED I AM . AFTER ALL THE CONTROVERSY ABOUT THE GRINDING ENGINE, I DOUBT I COULD EVER EVEN TRADE IT IN FOR NEW ONE. THANK YOU
CARS FRONT ASSIST WOULD ALARM WHILE DRIVING ON ROAD LIKE IT WAS ABOUT TO HIT SOMETHING THEN IT STARTED SAYING FRONT ASSIST NOT AVAILABLE. SENSORS ARE MALFUNCTIONING AND VW IS NOT COVERING THE COST TO FIX AND TELLING CAR OWNERS TO TURN OFF FRONT ASSIST WHEN TURNING CAR ON. CAUSES CAR TO BRAKE OUT OF NOWHERE FOR NO REASON

EMERGENCY BRAKE ENGAGES WHILE DRIVING THE CAR WITH NOTHING ELSE ON THE ROAD. DOOR LOCKED ON HER AND SHE HAD TO CLIMB THOUGHT THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR. RECEIVED SEVERAL MORE MALFUNCTION ALERTS. TOOK THE CAR TO MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP (200 MILE ROUND TRIP). FIRST I WAS TOLD THE CODES WERE CAUSED BY A NON-VW DIAGNOSTICS COMPUTER. THEN, THEY SAID IT WAS A DEAD BATTERY IN THE FOB. THEN THEY SAID IT WAS BECAUSE THE CAR WAS FILTHY. IT WAS SNOWING AND I HAD JUST DRIVEN OVER 100 MILES THROUGH SNOW ON A SALTED ROAD. OF COURSE IT WAS DIRTY. BUT, IT WAS CLEAN WHEN I LEFT THE HOUSE. THEY REFUSED TO DO ANY WORK EXCEPT TO CHANGE THE BATTERY IN MY FOB. I CHANGED THE BATTERY IN MY WIFE'S FOB WHEN I GOT HOME. I ALSO CLEANED THE CAR INSIDE AND OUT. AS SOON AS MY WIFE WENT BACK TO WORK, ALL THE CODES CAME BACK ON. WHEN THE BRAKES AUTOMATICALLY COME ON WHILE DRIVING ON ICY ROADS, THIS COULD BE A MAJOR PROBLEM. ALSO READ ABOUT A POSSIBLE CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT ABOUT THE BRAKE ISSUES AND MORE.

HELLO ON AUG 21, 2020 WE PURCHASED A USED JETTA FROM NAPLETON VOLKSWAGEN OF SANFORD. AT THE TIME WE ASKED IF THERE WERE ANY OPEN RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE AND THE SALESPERSON RESPONDED NO. WE DID A VIN SEARCH ON THE VEHICLE AT YOUR WEB SITE AND WE SEE NO OPEN RECALLS. WE CALLED VOLKSWAGEN CORPORATE AND THEY CONFIRMED THAT THERE ARE NO OPEN RECALLS. THE SALES MANAGER FROM THE DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN CALLING ALMOST DAILY, STATING THAT WE NEED TO HAVE THE VEHICLE BROUGHT IN FOR SERVICE AS IT IS UNDER RECALL AND VOIKSWAGEN FINANCIAL WILL NOT PROCEED WITH THE FINANCING UNTIL THE RECALL IS FIXED. I DON'T UNDERTAND WHY THEY ARE SAYING THAT THERE IS AN UNSATISFIED RECALL MEASURE ON THE VEHICLE WHEN I CAN'T FIND SUCH RECALL. WHEN I ASKED THE SALES MANAGER FOR THE RECALL NOTICE HE REFUSES TO PROVIDE IT. I'M VERY CONCERNED THAT THAT DEALER HAD THE VEHICLE IN THEIR POSSESION, RECEIVED RECALL NOTICES, MARKED THEM AS COMPLETE AND NEVER ACTUALLY REPAIRED THAT VEHICLE. HOW I CAN I BE SURE THAT ALL RECALLS HAVE NOT BEEN REPAIRED. WHEN I AS FOR THE SERVICE HISTORY OF THE VEHICLE THE SALES MANAGER SAYS HE WILL PROVIDE BUT HAS NOT.

FIRSTLY, THERE IS SOME GRINDING NOISE THAT COMES FROM THE POWERTRAIN/ ENGINE WHEN THE CAR SPEED INCREASES FROM 24-35MPH. THIS NOISE IS VERY SCARY AS IF SOME METAL PIECES ARE BEING SCRAPED TOGETHER. WHEN I CONTACTED THE DEALER, HE INFORMED ME THAT THIS NORMAL WHICH DEFINITELY ISN'T. SECONDLY, THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR RATTLES WHEN LISTEN TO BASS HEAVY MUSIC. WHEN REPORTED TO THE DEALER THE DEALER INFORMED ME THAT IS THE WAY HOW THE CAR DOOR WAS BEING BUILT. BUT THIS ISN'T SOME REASON THAT THEY WOULD GIVE FOR A PERSON BUYING A BRAND NEW CAR. BOTH THE ISSUES WHERE HAPPENING SINCE THE FIRST WEEK AFTER I PURCHASED MY CAR.
TWICE NOW ON CITY STREETS ACCELERATING FROM STOPS TO EITHER GO STRAIGHT OR TURN LEFT THE CAR HAS KIND OF STALLED OR LOST POWER CAUSING POTENTIAL CRASHES WITH ONCOMING AND REAR VEHICLES.

I HAVE HAD MANY ISSUES WITH THE KEY FOB. IT IS OFTEN VERY DIFFICULT TO LOCK OR UNLOCK THE CAR UNLESS I AM WITHIN 5 FEET OF IT AND THE CAR DOES NOT RESPOND WELL TO THE FOB SIGNAL. ADDITIONALLY, ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS WHILE THE FOB HAS BEEN IN MY POCKET, DUE TO THE POOR DESIGN OF THE FOB, THE TRUNK HAS INADVERTENTLY OPENED UP. NOT ONLY ARE THESE ISSUES A NUISANCE, BUT THEY CAN BE DANGEROUS IF THEY HAPPEN WHILE DRIVING OR IN ANOTHER SITUATION. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE BOTH BEING STATIONARY AND WHILE DRIVING.

WHEN PUTTING MY CAR IN REVERSE AND BACKING OUT OF A SPOT BRAKES MAKE A HIGH PITCH RINGING. ALSO, WHEN PARKED MUFFLER/ TAIL PIPE ON THE LEFT SIDE, IT GURGLES AS IF WATER IS BOILING IN IT. CAR IS LESS THAN A YEAR OLD.
Mileage: 10,000
WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 70MPH ON THE HIGHWAY, CAR IN MOTION, GOING STRAIGHT, NOT TURNING, I HEAR A LOUD POP. THE SOUND WAS SIMILAR TO A GUN SHOT. IN FACT, IT WAS SO LOUD IT STARTLED ME, CAUSING ME TO SWERVE TO THE LEFT, ALMOST HITTING THE CAR IN THE LANE TO THE LEFT OF ME. I FRANTICALLY LOOKED AROUND THE OUSTSIDE OF MY CAR, AND NOTICED THE SOUND OF WIND ABOVE MY HEAD WAS LOUD AND THEN SAW BROKEN GLASS ALL OVER THE PASSENGER SEAT. THE SUNROOF HAD BROKE, AND I KNOW FOR SURE IT WAS NO ROCK OR OUTSIDE CAUSE. IT WAS STILL DAYTIME, AND I NEVER SAW ANYTHING FLY AT ME. THERE WAS NOT AN OVERPASS OR BRIDGE TO DRIVE UNDER FOR ABOUT 8 MILES. SO, I KNOW NOTHING HAD DROPPED ONTO AND THREW THE WINDOW. CURIOUS ABOUT THIS, I LOOK UP ONLINE 'DEFECTIVE BROKEN SUNROOF VW JETTA 19' AND FIND MULTIPLE STORIES OF PEOPLE HAVING SIMILAR EXPERIENCES. I GUESS THIS IS HAPPENING MORE OFTEN WITH A LOT OF MAKES AND MODELS OF CARS, BECAUSE THE SUNROOF IS A COMMON FEATURE PUT IN CARS NOWADAYS AND THEY ARE LARGER IN SIZE. ALSO, I FOUND OUT VW IS IN COURT NOW FOR OLDER MODELS OF THEIR CARS HAVING DEFECTIVE SUNROOF, AND THEY KNOW THEY WERE POORLY DESIGNED BUT STILL PUT THEM IN AND SOLD THEM WITH NO DISCLOSURE TO THW CUSTOMER OF THE POOR QUALITY SUNROOF. THIS HAPPENED 12/29/19, AND AS OF NOW THE DEALERSHIP WONT FIX IT. VW WONT FIX AND CLAIM THAT THEIR ENGINEERS ARE SAYING THE WINDOW BROKE FROM THE OUTSIDE, LIKE FROM A ROCK. THESE ENGINEERS ARE CONCLUDING THIS BY LOOKING AT PICTURES. THEY ARE NOT INVESTIGATING MY CAR IN PERSON BUT BY PICTURES SENT TO THEM. IF ONE LOOKS AT THE SUNROOF OF MY CAR IN PERSON YOU CAN SEE THAT THE GLASS HAS BROKEN UP AND OUT WARD TOWARDS THE SKY NOT DOWNWARD TOWARDS THE SEATS, WHICH IS WHAT A ROCK WOULD DO. THEY WANT ME TO CALL MY INSURANCE AND HAVE THEM DEAL WITH IT. THIS IS FRUSTRATING AND NOT RIGHT OF VW. I ALMOST WRECKED, SO THIS SURELY COULD CAUSE A DEATH OR SOMEONE GETTING HURT

GRINDING NOISE FROM TRANSMISSION WHEN TRAVELLING AT 30-40 MPH. SOUND IS LOUDEST IN ECO MODE. HAVING THE SAME ISSUE THAT MANY OTHERS HAVE STATED ONLINE WITH THE 2019 JETTA, AND IT SOUNDS LIKE VW IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM BUT SAY IT'S NORMAL SINCE ALL OF THE 2019 JETTAS ARE DOING THIS.
THE VEHICLE IS A 6-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION. THE VEHICLE WILL STALL OUT WHEN COMING TO A STOP. NOT USER ERROR, SINCE THE STALLING HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS IN NEUTRAL - COASTING TO A STOP. STALL OUT IS VERY SOFT - AKIN TO JUST SHUTTING OFF THE ENGINE. THIS HAPPENS NEARLY EVERY STOP AFTER RUNNING THE CAR FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES. THIS PHENOMENON IS REPEATABLE AND EXTREMELY UNSAFE.

I HAVE THE 2019 JETTA SEL PREMIUM THAT INCLUDES THE BEATS AUDIO SYSTEM UPGRADE. THE SPEAKERS RATTLE AND SOUND BLOWN STARTING AT JUST BELOW 50% VOLUME. I AM AT THE DEALER AND THEY ARE INSPECTING THE ISSUE. THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS OF THIS ON PUBLIC FORUMS. IT SEEMS AS IF THE STEREO HEAD UNIT IS TOO POWERFUL FOR THE SPEAKERS OR IS IMPROPERLY ALLOCATING POWER TO THE SPEAKERS INSTEAD OF THE SUBWOOFER. IT IS DEFINITELY NOT RIGHT WHATEVER THE ISSUE IS. I HAVE A 2019 VW JETTA GLI AND THE CAR STALLED WHILE I WENT COMING TO A STOP OR PREPARING TO TURN, EVEN WITH THE CLUTCH PRESSED AND THE CAR IN NEUTRAL IT HAPPENS LIKE 5 TIMES PER DAY

WHEN GRABBING THINGS FROM INSIDE THE VEHICLE THROUGH AN OPEN WINDOW, PUSHING YOUR BODY AGAINST THE DOOR WITH KEYS IN A POCKET MAY COST THE VEHICLE TO THINK THAT YOU ARE PUSHING ON THE DOOR LOCK BUTTON AND HENCE CLOSING THE WINDOWS WHEN YOU ARE RETRIEVING THINGS INSIDE AND THE WINDOWS TAKE TOO LONG OF A TIME TO SENSE THAT SOMETHING IS BLOCKING THE WINDOWS AND HURT WHOEVER IS RETRIEVING ITEMS.

I'M REPORTING A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS SITUATION WITH THE 2019 JETTA. WE TRADED IN OUR 2016 JETTA WHICH HAD A COMPLETE INFOTAINMENT VOICE ACTIVATED SYSTEM. I'D SAY "PLAY JETHRO TULL" AND THE VOICE ACTIVATION WOULD PLAY JETHRO TULL SONGS. MY EYES REMAINING ON THE ROAD. OUR 2019 JETTA DOES NOT HAVE VOICE ACTIVATION FOR MUSIC, JUST FOR THE HANDS FREE PHONE. SO, I MUST TAKE MY EYES OFF THE ROAD AND SCROLL THROUGH THE DOZENS OF FOLDERS ON THE INFOTAINMENT SCREEN TO ACCESS THE FOLDER WHICH HAS THE SONG I WANT TO HEAR. I CAN SCROLL THROUGH THE FOLDER FROM THE STEERING WHEEL TO GET TO THE SONG. THE 32 GIGABYTE FLASH DRIVE HAS SEVERAL THOUSAND SONGS AND DOZENS OF FOLDERS. SO IT'S A BIG DISTRACTION TO SCROLL THROUGH THE FOLDERS WITH MY EYES ON THE INFOTAINMENT SCREEN INSTEAD OF THE ROAD. WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD VW TAKE THE VOICE RECOGNITION FOR MUSIC AWAY, AND CREATE SUCH A DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITION?

WHEN VEHICLE REACHES 30-40MPH, THERE IS A LOUD RATTLE SOUND ON THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. SOUNDS AS IF PIPES ARE LOOSE UNDER THE HOOD OR UNDER THE CAR. THE RATTLE SOUND HAPPENS DURING ACCELERATION RANDOMLY AT ANY SPEED. THE SOUND IS REDUCED WHEN IN SPORT MODE AND DOES NOT MAKE RATTLE FROM 0 TO 30-40MPH, BUT DOES MAKE THE RATTLE SOUND DURING ACCELERATION. DURING MY RESEARCH I'VE NOTICED THERE ARE A TON OF MY SAME MODEL VEHICLE THAT ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER TWO WEEKS AFTER MY PURCHASE TO HAVE IF CHECKED OUT, THE MECHANIC BRUSHED ME OFF AND SAID IT WAS NORMAL. MY BRAND NEW CAR SHOULD NOT SHOULD LIKE PIPES ARE LOOSE AND RATTLE DURING ACCELERATION. ITS REALLY EMBARRASSING AND I HOPE THIS DOES NOT CAUSE A SAFETY ISSUE IN THE FUTURE.

2019 JETTA SE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION I HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES SINCE I PURCHASED MY JETTA IN JANUARY 2019 IT SEEMS LIKE MY CAR HAS A SERIOUS LAG. I WAS DRIVING AND WENT TO MAKE A LEFT TURN AND AS I WAS ACCELERATING OUT OF THE TURN THE CAR WOULDN'T GO FOR A LITTLE WHILE THEN IT SHOT OFF.. I NOTICED THAT IT DOES IT WHEN I SLOW DOWN ALSO IT HAVE VERY SLOW RESPONSE TIME WITH THE ACCELERATION. IT DOESN'T IT EVERY SO OFTEN. MAYBE ABOUT ONCE OR TWICE A WEEK ALSO WHEN THE 'AUTO ENGINE TURN OFF' IS ENGAGED THE CAR LAGS AND SOMETIMBES DOESN'T WANT TO GO.. SOMETIME I HAVE TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON. OR SHIFT IT OUT AND BACK INTO GEARS AT RED LIGHTS OR DRIVE THROUGH I TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP SAVANNAH VOLKSWAGEN AND THEY SAY THEY CAN'T FIND A ISSUE OR A FIX. I HONESTLY DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING THE CAR.. ESPECIALLY WITH MY KIDS

AROUND 35 MPH, I HEAR A GRINDING NOISE (NOT EXACTLY SURE WHERE IT'S COMING FROM). I DID CALL THE DEALERSHIP BUT WAS TOLD THIS IS NORMAL. SEEMS LIKE I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE.
Mileage: 100
THE SAME DAY I DROVE THE VEHICLE OFF THE DEALER'S LOT, IT SHUT-OFF ON ME THREE TIMES; ONCE ON THE NEW JERSEY TURNPIKE AND TWICE AT A STOP LIGHT. THE FIRST TIME AT THE STOP LIGHT, I WAS WAITING FOR THE LIGHT TO TURN GREEN. THE SECOND WAS COMING TO A STOP. FURTHER, I WAS UNAWARE THE VEHICLE HAD SHUT-OFF UNTIL I TOOK MY FOOT OF THE BRAKE AND PLACED IT ON THE ACCELERATOR. IT SHUT-OFF A FOURTH TIME THE FOLLOWING WEEKEND WHILE IN THE MIDDLE OF A FOUR WAY INTERSECTION. EACH TIME, THE INFO CENTER IN THE DASHBOARD STATED, "PLACE THE GEAR SHIFT IN PARK AND MANUALLY START THE VEHICLE."

JETTA 2019 MAKES A GRINDING NOISE WHEN PUTTING THE GEAR ON REVERSE(MANUAL CAR). EVEN IF STATIONERY FOR MORE THAN 3 SECONDS IT MAKES A GRINDING NOISE. THERE IS SOMETHING DEFECTIVE ON THE CAR THAT THE DEALERSHIP IS HIDING FROM ME. I DONT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THE CAR KNOWING ITS DEFECTIVE

2019 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA GLI 35TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION 6 SPEED MT ODOMETER: 408MI BUILT 12/2018 IN MEXICO VEHICLE INTERMITTENTLY STALLS WHEN COMING TO A STOP WITH NO CEL. THE DEALERSHIP WAS UNABLE TO RECREATE OR DIAGNOSE THE MALFUNCTION BECAUSE IT'S OCCURRENCE IS INTERMITTENT AND THERE ARE NO CODES LEFT IN THE ECM OR TCM.
Mileage: 408
WHILE EITHER STATIONARY OR IN MOTION, AND NO MATTER WHERE THE VEHICLE IS, THERE IS A PRONOUNCED RATTLING THAT COMES FROM THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE DOOR, AND OCCASIONALLY FROM THE DRIVER'S SIDE AS WELL, WHEN THE RADIO IS TURNED UP TO AN ENJOYABLE VOLUME. THIS IS A POTENTIAL SAFETY HAZARD AS IT'S A RATHER IRRITATING PHENOMENON THAT DISTRACTS THE DRIVER WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE. I SUSPECT THIS RATTLING IS DUE TO A LACK OF SOUND DEADENING OR OTHER FORM OF NOISE INSULATION INSIDE THE DOORS. THIS NOTION IS FURTHER SUPPORTED BY CONSIDERABLE ROAD NOISE CAUSED BY THE APPARENT LACK OF SOUND INSULATION IN THE FLOORS AS WELL.
Mileage: 25
ALL ISSUES WRITTEN HERE HAVE BEEN HAPPENING SINCE DAY OF PURCHASE, AS OF JUNE 2018. VW CURRENTLY DENIES ISSUES AND CLAIMS REPORTS ARE OF NORMAL OPERATION OF VEHICLE. I LOVE THIS CAR I JUST WANT VW TO PROVIDE A FIX. VEHICLE HAS A CONTINUOUS GRINDING NOISE COMING FROM BEHIND ENGINE AREA WHEN VEHICLE IS IN MOTION ACCELERATING FROM 27- 30MPH AFTER THAT IT SUBSIDES. SOUNDS OF GRINDING DEPENDS WHAT DRIVE MODE YOUR ARE IN. ECO HAS THE LOUDEST NOISE. MANY OTHER REPORTS SUSPECT TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. VEHICLE WHILE STATIONARY HAS A STRANGE NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT LEFT ENGINE AREA THAT SOUNDS LIKE A ROTATION HUMMING GRIND NOISE, USUALLY OCCURS AFTER VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AND THEN STOPPING AT A RED LIGHT. VEHICLE WHILE IN MOTION BLIND SPOT MONITOR ON DRIVER SIDE MIRROR LIGHTS UP DURING BAD WEATHER EVEN WHEN NO VEHICLE IS PRESENT IN BLIND SPOT. ALSO, CAN HAPPEN WHEN THERE IS NO BAD WEATHER. VEHICLE WHILE IN REVERSE DURING RAIN IF EQUIPED WITH DRIVE ASSIST WILL AUTOMATICALLY BREAK STOP FOR YOU WHILE NO VEHICLE IS PRESENT. WINSHEILD WIPER BLADES LEAVE STREAKING MARKS INTO WINDSHIELD THAT DOESNT GO AWAY. PAINT ALSO EASILY CHIPS WHEN PEBBLES FROM HIGHWAYS HITS THE HOOD OF THE CAR. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO VW NORTH HILLS 1COCHRAN PITTSBURGH PA THEY STATED THEY DO NOT KNOW ABOUT THE GRINDING NOISE, AND IT WAS MOST LIKELY THE TURBO CHARGE ENGINE. THEY ALSO INVESTIGATED THE BLIND SPOT MONITOR STATING SENSOR IS DIRTY JUST NEEDS CLEANED. THAT'S ALSO FALSE BECUASE AFTER VW NORTH HILLS 1COCHRAN CLEANED IT ON A CLEAR SUNNY DAY AS I LEFT THE DEALERSHIP THE BLIND SPOT MONITOR CAME ON INTERMITTENTLY. THIS VEHICLE AT TIME OF REPORT HAS 23000 MILES ON IT HAS IT DRIVES A LOT OF HIGHWAY. RISK OF VEHICLE ACCIDENT WHILE ACCELERATING USUALLY BETWEEN 30-80MPH WITH KNOWN ISSUES ARE HIGH. PLEASE INVESTIGATE.

TRANSMISSION ISSUE LOW SPEED LOSS TORQUE CONVERTER ISSUE
AT COMPLETE STOPS (6 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION) OCCASIONALLY THE ENGINE STOPS. IT HAS HAPPENED COUNTLESS TIMES WHILE IN TRAFFIC. ENGINE TURNS OFF BUT EVERYTHING ELECTRONIC IS STILL OPERATING. WAS AT A STOP LIGHT AND LIGHT TURNED GREEN. ENGINE TURNED OFF AND HAD TO START THE VEHICLE UP IN HEAVY TRAFFIC.
WHILE IN NEUTRAL, THE ENGINE SHUDDERED A LITTLE AND THEN CUT OFF. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES. MOST RECENTLY I WAS STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION WHILE I HAD TO RESTART MY CAR.

2019 JETTAS WITH A PRODUCTION DATE BEFORE JANUARY 2019 HAVE TRUNK LIDS THAT NEED TO BE PUSHED ALL THE WAY BACK OR YOU RISK HAVING THE TRUNK LID FALL ON YOUR HEAD CAUSING POSSIBLE INJURY.
ON VERY COLD DAYS (BELOW 10 DEGREES F), THE CAR DOES NOT PRODUCE HEAT. MY WIFE DROVE IT 20+ MINUTES WITHOUT THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE EVER MOVING. THIS PROBLEM POSES A SAFETY THREAT BECAUSE OF INABILITY TO DEFROST THE FRONT WINDSHIELD, AND THREAT OF HYPOTHERMIA. THE DEALER ACKNOWLEDGED THE ISSUE AS A COMMON PROBLEM BUT DID NOT DO ANYTHING TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM BECAUSE THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM ON SIGNIFICANTLY WARNER DAYS.
Mileage: 5,075
TOOK MY CAR IN FOR AN OIL CHANGE AND THE DEALERSHIP NOTICE MY TRANSMISSION WAS LEAKING. ALSO HAVE BEEN MAKING A GRINDING NOISE SINCE I BOUGHT IT.
Mileage: 10,000
ALL SENSORS INCLUDING AIRBAG AND ABS REPORTED ERRORS. VW REPRESENTATIVE OVER THE PHONE SAID IT DOES NOT SOUND SAFE TO DRIVE. DEALERSHIP CLAIMED NO ISSUES FOUND WITH THE VEHICLE. RATTLING SOUND WHICH IS PERSISTENT AFTER VW INSTALLED A SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTING GEARS. WHILE THE ENGINE RUNNING AND CHANGED FROM PARK TO REVERSE, THE CAR ROLLED FORWARD AND TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT RESPOND TO ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE. VEHICLE ROLLED INTO A POLE WHICH STOPPED IT FROM MOVING FORWARD WHILE IN REVERSE. ALL PHOTO AND VIDEO DOCUMENTED. VOLKSWAGEN CLAIMS THIS PROOF DOES NOT MATTER BECAUSE 'THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. THERE IS ALSO A RESIDUE FROM MANUFACTURING ON THE WINDSHIELD WHICH THEY HAVE ATTEMPTED MULTIPLE TIMES TO REMOVE, AND THE ISSUE IS STILL PERSISTENT. THEY REFUSE TO REPLACE THE WINDSHIELD OR ADMIT THE PROBLEM IS FROM MANUFACTURING. MULTIPLE TRIPS TO HAVE THE VEHICLE SERVICED AND CONTINUED TO BE TOLD 'NOTHING IS WRONG' AND MY DOCUMENTED PROOF 'DOES NOT MATTER'.
Mileage: 10,000
THE PERSON ON THE OTHER END OF A PHONE CALL MADE VIA CARS BLUETOOTH AND CARPLAY, WILL HEAR AN ECHO OF THEMSELVES. THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE RADIO, BUT THE ISSUE REMAINS.
THIS CAR HAS VENT ISSUES AND COWL SEAL ISSUE. THE SEAL IS NOT TIGHT AND THE INSIDE THE WINDSHIELD AND WINDOW FREEZES
MY BRAND NEW VEHICLE HAS BEEN STALLING. ENGINE STRUGGLES TO TURN ON AFTER ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IS DOWN. VEHICLE STATES THAT THE AIR TEMPERATURE CONTROL SENSOR IS MALFUNCTIONING AND VEHICLE COMPLETELY STALLS W/O POWER. ENGINE FAILS. ELECTRICAL FAILS.

1. 1800 MILES-TRANSMISSION FLUID LEAK, THE SERVICE PEOPLE TOLD ME IT WAS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH 2019 JETTAS, REPAIR TOOK 2 MONTHS 2. HEATER DOESN'T BLOW OUT WARM AIR WHEN TRAVELING UNDER 40 MPH, EVEN AFTER 18 MILES OF DRIVING 3. GRINDING/CROAKING NOISE LIKE A FROG AT 28-30 MPH AND AGAIN AT 40 MPH 4. BRAKES SQUEAK 5. TRUNK FALLS ON MY HEAD UNLESS I PUSH IT ALL THE WAY UP PER OWNERS MANUAL ADDENDUM
Mileage: 1,800
SINCE DAY ONE OF OWNERSHIP, THE FRONT SPEAKERS ON MY 2019 JETTA R-LINE HAVE SOUNDED ABNORMAL/DEFECTIVE. THERE IS A HUGE THREAD ON REDDIT REGARDING THIS ISSUE AND IS APPARENT UPON ALL TRIM LEVELS. THIS RATTLING SOUND IS EXPONENTIALLY MORE NOTICEABLE ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE. YOU CAN NOTICE THIS DEFECT DURING ANY GENRE OF MUSIC IF THE CORRECT FREQUENCIES ARE APPARENT IN THE SONG YOU'RE LISTENING TOO, THE RATTLE GETS LOUDER IF YOUR VOLUME IS OVER 50%. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THEM DOCUMENT THIS WIDESPREAD CONCERN. BOTH THE SERVICE ADVISOR AND LEAD FOREMAN SAT IN MY CAR WITH ME AND IT WAS EASY TO REPLICATE THE ISSUE USING THE BALANCE/FADER. THE TECHNICIAN AGREED THAT THIS IS INDEED A DESIGN FLAW AND ORDERING REPLACEMENT COMPONENTS WILL ONLY RESULT IN THE SAME THING. AT THE END OF MY APPOINTMENT THE SERVICE ADVISOR DEEMED THE CONCERN AS A "NORMAL CHARACTERISTIC" OF THE VEHICLE. IT LITERALLY SOUNDS LIKE BLOWN SPEAKERS OR AS IF THEY ARE COVERED IN LIQUID! I'VE ONLY CALLED VW CUSTOMER CARE ONCE ABOUT THIS AND THEY REFUSED TO PUT ME IN TOUCH WITH MY REGIONAL VW REPRESENTATIVE. I'M PLANNING TO CALL THEM AGAIN, THIS IS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING AS IT'S PROGRESSIVELY GETTING WORSE.
TRUNK HAS RANDOMLY OPENED NUMEROUS TIMES EVEN AFTER IT HAS BEEN FULLY CLOSED. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE I'M DRIVING OR WHILE THE CAR IS PARKED, AND THE TRUNK JUST BECOMES LOOSE AND SLIGHTLY AJAR. IMMEDIATELY AFTER, I WILL CLOSE THE TRUNK, WHICH SECURES IT, BUT THEN AT SOME POINT IT BECOMES LOOSE AND OPEN AGAIN.
Mileage: 2,500
FORWARD COLLISION ASSIST SYSTEM UNABAILABLE
TRUNK LID DOES NOT STAY OPEN UNLESS IT IS PUSHED UP ALL THE WAY, MULTIPLE PASSENGERS WHEN USING THE TRUNK IN DIFFERENT OCCASIONS WERE HIT BY THE TRUNK LID. WHEN TRAVELING LOW SPEED ON CRUISE CONTROL VEHICLE SPEED WILL BE LOWERED WHEN GETTING CLOSE TO ANOTHER VEHICLE IN ITS LANE BUT IF THE IMMEDIATE CAR SWITCH LANE AT THE SAME TIME ANOTHER VEHICLE GET INTO YOUR LANE, THE FORWARD COLLISION SYSTEM HAS A DELAY IN DETECTING IS THERE VEHICLE THERE OR MAY NOT IDENTIFY THE VEHICLE JOINING YOUR LANE AS A VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY AND MAY SUDDENLY INCREASE SPEED AS NO VEHICLE WAS DETECTED AND RESULT IN A REAR-END COLLISION.
Mileage: 9,000
REAR TRUNK LID DOES NOT REMAIN OPEN RESULTING IN THE LID CRASHING DOWN ON MY HEAD WHEN I'M PUTTING STUFF IN THE TRUNK OR TAKING STUFF OUT OF THE TRUNK.
