The vehicle has had repeated issues related to the fuel system, including strong fuel odor inside the cabin, a gurgling sound coming from the fuel tank area, and recurring check engine lights shortly after a previous recall repair was completed. The most recent diagnostic from the dealer indicated a faulty fuel tank pressure sensor (G400), but I was initially told the vehicle needed a fuel pressure release valve. There has been inconsistency in the diagnostics and explanations provided to me. The fuel smell in the cabin and apparent pressure issues in the tank created a safety concern for me and my passengers, especially while driving with windows closed or using cabin heat. I am concerned about a potential fuel leak or improper tank venting. The problem has occurred multiple times, including at least five check engine lights after the recall repair. The dealer has inspected the vehicle several times, but the issue has not been fully resolved, and additional related parts (such as the tank shutoff valve) were recommended for replacement. Warning lights included repeated check engine indicators, and the fuel odor occurred each time the issue recurred. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request.

Vehicle lost power control due to engine malfunction. This was caused by a leak in the coolant head gasket. This is an issue that Volkswagen has already identified with these cars, but has neglected to recall.

This statement is to formally document my ongoing and serious concerns regarding my 2022 Volkswagen Taos, which has been in and out of the Pasadena Volkswagen, California, service department for the past three weeks due to a persistent fuel smell and related fuel system issues. Despite the recent maintenance and attempted repairs, the vehicle continues to exhibit these dangerous problems. Most alarmingly, during a recent incident, the vehicle almost completely shut off while I was driving on the freeway. This is a critical safety hazard, and the safety of my family is paramount. I cannot accept driving a vehicle that poses such a risk of breakdown in traffic. Adding to my unease with the fuel issues is the fact that this specific vehicle has also previously required repair for seized rear brake calipers. Given the numerous reported complaints about the 2022 VW Taos model and the repeated, severe issues my own vehicle has experienced—from brake failure to dangerous fuel system problems—I am profoundly concerned about its reliability and long-term safety. The continuing issues make it difficult, if not impossible, to drive this vehicle without significant anxiety. I request an urgent and definitive resolution to these safety-critical fuel problems.

I am reporting serious electrical/CPU defects and dealership workmanship issues with my 2022 Volkswagen Taos. Since purchase, the vehicle has shown repeated electronic malfunctions: dash blackouts, HVAC/remote start errors, infotainment resets, and a cooling fan that ran 24+ hours after shutoff. Warning alerts are delayed or absent (no warning before head gasket failure at 42k miles; oil-level alert appeared 8 weeks after a dealer oil change; turbo underboost fault only appeared 9 months after a missing O-ring). Independent scans (AutoZone) have shown generic fault codes (ABS communication error), while Volkswagen dealerships repeatedly reported “no faults found.” Service staff told me they only read “VW codes,” ignoring generic ones that point to safety problems. Major events tied to these failures: Nov 2024: Head gasket failure at 42k miles, no warnings triggered. Aug 2025: Turbo charge pipe disconnected at highway speeds, car went into limp mode. Independent shop documented it “must have come loose or was not properly installed.” Sep 2025: EPC again; dealer found missing O-ring on intake pipe, likely from Nov 2024 repair. These failures have repeatedly stranded me in limp mode with my child in the car. The CPU’s failure to log and alert is a systemic defect. A similar delay with steering or braking could be deadly. I have raised concerns with Fox Valley Volkswagen since 2022 and sent certified letters in Sept 2025. They denied responsibility, calling each failure “unrelated.” Volkswagen of America also pushed me back to the dealer. This is not a one-off repair issue. It is a systemic CPU/electrical defect suppressing warnings until after failure, compounded by sloppy workmanship. My car is unsafe to drive. I request investigation into VW’s diagnostic practices, CPU/sensor monitoring delays, and dealer handling of safety-critical repairs. I have Service reports but I ran out of room and they couldn't be attached with the rest of the documents below.

Stepping in the gas, the car takes about 4-5 seconds before it speeds up after each stop. When pulling out of a drive, the car sputtered and the check engine light was flashing and the Start/stop error came on. The delayed driving happens every time I drive the car. Only have about 44k miles on it. I have had multiple people almost rear end me. I have had the car for about 3 weeks now.

Sep 14, 2025

The car is telling me things are not available such as airbags, blind spot, the rear warning and the tire pressure monitoring system. As well as is has the fuel injector problem that VW has already extended the warranty on.

Jun 26, 2025

A/c drain clogged resulting in a backup of water to start leaking into the vehicle and steadily dripping onto the airbag module. The dealer did replicate the issue and are repairing. The airbag light illuminated and then the seatbelt light and chime began a couple of days later. Poorly placed safety device module.

Car dies/stalls while in drive when adaptive is engaged. Entertainment / navigation system has quit working despite multiple times I’ve reset. Acceleration is dangerous at times and accelerates too quickly. Also seems to be sluggish due to fuel injector issues requiring me to press gas pedal harder to maintain speed. Windows don’t always respond to button and seem to stall. Check engine light keeps coming on despite being cleared . I only have 28,000 miles.

The contact owns a 2022 Volkswagen Taos. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to exceed above 10 MPH, with the check engine and the EPC warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a certified mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the engine had seized and needed to be replaced. The mechanic linked the failure to failure to NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 23V214000 (Fuel System, Gasoline), 21V651000 (Fuel System, Gasoline), and Technical Service Bulletin 1523/01. The mechanic referred the contact to the dealer. The dealer was contacted and confirmed that the VIN was not included in the recalls. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The manufacturer confirmed that the VIN was not covered under recall and that the vehicle had exceeded the mileage for coverage. The failure mileage was 67,168.

The radio system constantly blanks out and will not come back on for hours even after trying to turn it off and back on. There are major issues that point to the recalls that are known for the 2022 VE Taos however, there are no recalls for my specific vehicle. The vehicle check engine light is constantly on and there is constantly an issue with the fuel system. The Taos has issues with acceleration and shifting into other gears. The Taos now has a ticking sound and is at the mile range of (50,000- 60,000) which others who have complained about engine failures. This has been a current and ongoing problem with this vehicle and has cause a headache.

Aug 16, 2024

I have 44,000 miles on my 2022 VW Taos. The EPC warning light came on. Took it to VW dealership. It needed a “software update”, which was still covered under warranty

First it wouldn’t start, then all these issues All of these including the TPS Adaptive Cruise Control Automatic Emergency Braking Blind Spot Warning Forward Collision Warning Lane Departure Warning Lane Keeping Assistance Parking Collision Warning Rear Cross Traffic Warning and the windows would sometimes roll down and not back up or would not roll down at all.

In the two years I have had this car it has gone into limp home mode stating “start/stop error” while I am drivig the vehicle. I have taken it to my dealership and they will not do anything to fix the problem. The vehicle has also cut off twice while I am driving it with no warning lights which has caused other Volkswagen models to be recalled

Jun 11, 2024

In April 2024, the VW Taos leaked coolant due to a faulty gasket. Upon being fixed, an EPC light came on and leaked oil. This caused us to have it towed to the dealership for repairs to the oil cap lining. After the car was returned, the light was cleared and no longer leaked oil. In May 2024, the EPC light reappeared and cause a significant reduction when accelerating at 50 mph. When the light came on the vehicle had errors stating that the max rpms are exceeded and the car reduced power. We took the car to VW State College who was unable to find an issue with the car and cleared the light. We were able to drive the vehicle at slow speeds back to Moon Township for diagnostic and testing. The vehicle has remained with VW since late may and as of 6/11/2024, Volkswagen is unable to determine the cause of the EPC light. The second time the EPC light came on, the car stalled out at an intersection causing significant injury risk to the occupants. VW Moon Township has performed the investigations and VW State College was unable to diagnose the EPC light cause. The EPC light did not appear prior to the initial coolant leak.

Within weeks of leading car, EPC light flashing, check engine light, limp mode from 55 to about 30. I bought it to dealer said fixed. A few months later again, brought it to another dealer fixed it, said don’t use eco mode and high tier gas. It was fine for a few months did it again two days ago. I shut the engine off and turned it on was fine. VW HQ said no new car. They will keep trying to fix it. Dealer won’t change it. Dealer wants me to bring it in again….They will try something else. I explained to dealer and VWHQ this is very dangerous. Previous incident 11/2023, previous incident shortly after leasing the car. Each time told it was fixed and not.

Mar 11, 2024

ABS, Tire Pressure monitor system, front/rear/side assist warning lights lit up while driving solid yellow indicating there was an error. Also a start stop error light on. Stayed lit for one minute and then they all went away. This is now happening every day for the past three days. Today the steering light turn on as well and had difficulty with steering the wheel for about 30 seconds. These incidents occurred after turning the car on after it had been parked for 5 hours. Then while driving at 30-40 mph.

Many fuel system issues along with poor brakes create an unsafe vehicle even after the dealership was given several attempts to fix.

Feb 13, 2024

DASH LIGHTS GO SO DIM AT TIMES YOU CANNOT SEE DASH. YOU HAVE TO TAKE YOUR EYES OFF THE ROAD TO SEE YOUR SPEED. THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS POST OF THIS HAPPENING ON VW TAOS FORUM WEBSITE. VW NEEDS TO FIX THIS AS IT A HAZARD TO DRIVER SAFETY. VW DOESNT KNOW HOW TO FIX IT.

Jan 21, 2024

Fuel System: The car hesitates when you push the gas, and then will suddenly go with a jolt. That is unsafe as you are turning on to road and when you push the gas-you do not move for a few seconds which could cause an accident. There are no warning lights regarding this, however, lots of the same exact complaints for this model on the internet. Engine: The coolant goes low, and the dealership says it needs a new head gasket replaced, however, was told to continue to drive the car until the part comes in which is on back order for months. Electrical: Lights come on telling me that my tire is low, when tire is not low. My oil light came on saying to reduce the oil level. Dealership just turned the light off and called it good. I worry that something is wrong, but the car does not give accurate safe information. The carplay system has to be restarted all the time due to connecting issues, and map not working. Additionally, the car had to have rear breaks replaced at only 27,000k miles.

Complete radio/gps randomly shuts off. GPS is always saying these VW are in different locations than they are.

Oct 31, 2023

I came to a stop at a red light and the engine turned over to preserve energy, once the light turned green and I attempted to gas, the car would not move. I turned off and on repeatedly to try to get the car to go but with no success, I was causing traffic for at least 5 minutes while I had no clue what else to do but wait until it wanted to turn over. Also on two separate occasions my screen would glitch and turn off, stopping my music, and terminating GPS. Both times I was able to record for my records.

The contact owns a 2022 Volkswagen Taos. The contact stated that while driving out of the driveway, the brakes made an abnormal sound. Additionally, the instrument panel became inoperable. The coolant warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the failure was due to a faulty gasket. The vehicle was repaired by the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 3,000. The VIN was not available.

The screen will freeze when driving and the navigation will freeze about 3x on a 20min drive. Also when I use reverse the camera will freeze or black out and I am not able to see where I am going reverse. I have gone to VW dealer in Huntington Beach and they said they cannot do anything about it until they issue a recall or if there is an update for the electrical system which can take a year or more. It is a new car. It should not have these issues.

Aug 1, 2023

2 instances occurred where the auto start/stop initiated in the midst of driving resulting in a stall and required the car to be restarted in order to start driving again. One time occurred while backing up and another while taking a turn both at low speeds. There was a recall on 2021 Volkswagen Taos’s for the same problem. I brought the car to the dealership to be assessed and the car remained in the service lot from 7/6/23 to 7/17/23, however the problem could not be recreated. Thus the car was returned to me without any solution. I clearly stated to them that I am picking up the car against my wishes as no solution was found and this has been extremely dangerous almost causing accidents.

Jun 23, 2023

While driving my vehicle the engine became unable to shift gears or speed up. The check engine light came up and shortly after the EPC light appeared. After coming to a stop, the vehicle died and was unable to turn on. After returning it to the dealer - they informed me it was due to a recall on the VW Taos software which appears to be consistent with the 2022 Taos recalls on AWD vehicles. My car is FWD drive but empierced the same problem and I was not notified of any potential issue. This happened while I was driving to Puerto Penasco, Mexico just south of the Arizona border for a weekend trip. Luckily, my vehicle broke down just outside of the city where we could call a tow truck and safely sit on side of road. The drive is only 4 hours from Phoenix but 90% of the way is through the desert which I feel extremely fortunate this did not happen in a remote area. Volkswagen only provides roadside assistance in the United States, so I had to pay out of pocket to get my car towed across the border and picked up to go to the dealer. My vehicle only has 11,470 miles and is 18 months old. The vehicle was serviced at 10,000 miles and I was not notified of any potential defects.

Jun 5, 2023

at 20,000 miles the low coolant light came on and I took it to the dealer and they diagnosis it as a leaking through the head gasket my vehicle has been in the shop for approximately one month and to replace the head gasket. Also the information system would not come on or needed to have a hard reset in order to work. Also reported that to the dealer they could not duplicate the problem. This head gasket problem is concerning since it took 5 months to get the part and I was driving around with the issue. Don't know the extend of damage to the car's engine.

May 12, 2023

I have a 2022 Taos Volkswagen Sport WG. It was purchased in April 2022. In November 2022 was the first time the dash board lights started to go dark and dimming so low that I could not see my driving speed and after turning vehicle on and off it still did not get better, Therefore, I took into Dealership where I purchased vehicle. The service advisor, the service manager and the service Electrician could not figure out what was the cause. I suggested to the service Electrician to see if the Taos they have on lot were also doing the same thing. So he pulled up a new Taos and the new Taos on the car lot was also doing the same thing. I left the vehicle with the dealership to see if they could fix what was going on with the dash light but to no avail, it eventually got brighter and I have heard nothing further from them. On May 11, 2023. Again the dash lights and this time the Radio lights too went very dim, so dim I could not see my speed nor channel selection for radio. I again drove to the dealership and there it is at this point, again the Service Manager came out trying to adjust the light settings, he could not. so he asked if I can leave the vehicle behind so that they can take a better look at it. I was not offered a rental, I did ask for one but he said they have none available! I am very disappointed in VOLKSWAGEN, the only reason I switched vehicle makes was because my daughter had a Volkswagen, but currently seriously about purchasing another make.

Mar 23, 2023

1.) My navigation freezes atleast 3x in a 1 hour drive. I have to reset it every time it freezes. 2.) Rearview camera sometimes blacks out. 3.) Rear wiper blade makes a really loud noise when on. 4.) Driver side wheel makes a grinding noise when I turn right. 5.) Passenger window switch is loose. When trying to switch window up the entire connector comes out.

Mar 22, 2023

While stop at red light on 2 occasions, the car goes into the auto stop start feature. The light turns green and I depress the accelerator to start to drive and nothing happens. I frantically try to determine what's going on my, shifter is in Drive and nothing. I press ignition to start and it states car in drive. Shift car to park and car starts. This all occurred after VW did Campaign #24IR. This is dangerous since if people don't realize your not moving they can rear end you or go backwards on a hill.

Mar 19, 2023

My car has lagged two different times and would not accelerate causing me to get off the road and turn the car off. The two occurances were about 6-8 months apart from eachother. The engine recorded multiple misfires and the second time it happened I was able to get a video of it. The dealership said that I ran out of gas the first time, even though I had a quarter of a tank and said that it went into lower power mode. The second time it happened they didn't know what was wrong with it because they couldn't reproduce the problem. I have also had problems with the sudden collision light coming on even though there is nothing in front of me. At times the car breaks on its own if I'm using the cruise control, making sudden stops. I have told the dealership this problem as well, but they didn't know what to do because they couldn't reproduce the problem. The final problem I'm having is with the brakes. My car has about 33, 000 miles on it and I had it in for service early February for an oil change. When it was in they said I needed new tires, but said nothing about my rear brakes needing to be changed. I then took my car in to get new tires about a month later and the company said that my rear brakes were going to need to be replaced soon. After traveling just under 800 miles, my brakes started to grind and were showing that they needed to immediately be changed. My front brakes are like brand new brakes. Multiple mechanics have expressed that my brakes shouldn't have worn so quickly and that if anything it should be the front brakes, not the back. I recently called VW to ask if there was a problem with the brakes and they said no. However, after investigating more online, I found that it is a problem in other Taos vehicles.

Mar 10, 2023

The vehicle suddenly loses power without warning/notice for a few seconds when attempting to accelerate from a stop; the car will move at speeds between 1-3 mph. The condition occurs multiple times during a drive cycle, especially when cold but also when at operating temperature, and has happened in wet and dry conditions causing numerous near-miss accidents due to the lack of poor response. This is a rental vehicle from National.

Jan 8, 2023

When coming to a stop the car stalled, max rpm 3000 warning fired with check engine light. Once restarted it bucked as if it was not getting fuel then stalled again. Dealer had just installed update 48 hours prior to this happening

Dec 21, 2022

I have taken my Taos in for 1 year / work 10,000 mile inspection. I was told my breaks are worn and I should monitor them. This should not be happening when the car is one year old with less than 10,000 miles. I believe inferior brakes were designed for the car. This seems to be major complaint for many of us who purchased the car in the first year. The ECU light that has come on 3 times over the year is a problem. No known diagnosis for the problem.

Nov 8, 2022

I purchased my VW TAOS on Nov 26, 2021, and since then I have experienced faulty issues 4 times. 2022 Jul twice, Sep once, and Nov once. When merged to the main road the car refuses to accelerate and gives strange sounds in transmission/engine area. The first 2 times I had the issue with loss of power and significant lag in acceleration I could see the "start/stop error" message in the dashboard, and I had to pull over to the side of the road. I drove in the parking lot nearby for few minutes and continued driving when the engine seemed OK, but the automatic engine start/stop system failed to work on traffic lights when car fully stopped. I notified my local dealership about this issue and got an appointment for inspection in August. When examined they recommended changing my fuel to premium and explained that the fault was caused by the quality of gas I put. I followed their instruction and only been pumping Unleaded-91 Premium grade fuel for the last 2 months, but I had a more serious issue in mid-September. In the middle of traffic at 40mph speed a sudden loss of power occurred followed by a check engine light flashing. Again, I had to make an emergency stop from the second lane to pull over into the shoulder. When I notified this to my dealership, they recommended to get the car checked during my first oil change that was supposed to happen a month later because when I consulted with the operator, they said I should observe if the problem is going to reoccur. On 7th of Nov 2022, I got my oil changed for the first time at the dealership and drove my car for a while and it seemed fine. However, by the evening when I tried to drive it back home the same issue with worse noise in the engine area took place and car failed to accelerate in the middle of the traffic where I had to act quickly to pull over to the side of the road causing risky situation to other drivers on the road and myself. I am now convinced that this issue is never going to be fixed.

Oct 24, 2022

Vehicle has gone limp, almost like a stall, no matter how much the gas pedal is pressed. It happens for a few seconds and then it picks back up like normal. Check engine light and EPC light come on. Has happened pulling out of parking spot, at a traffic light, and in traffic. The first time it happened I took it to the local VW dealership where they told me I had water in my gas. Hard to believe as I go to a well known gas station and my other car gets the same gas and has never had this issue. I paid to get the car back, and drove it until the tank was empty. I've been adding higher octane gas like they recommended and it just happened again recently.

Oct 2, 2022 Crash

Vehicle was involved in a front end collision with left front impact. Damage spread across front of vehicle. Air bags did not deploy. Vehicle has been having electrical issues recently. Head unit will do “hard reset” while driving disabling all safety features. Car also will alert fob not present after vehicle has been started and is in motion. Other times fob will unlock doors but will get alert message that fob is not found in vehicle. Alerted dealership and manufacture but never received a response other than the dealership saying “no codes have been stored” and that they were unable to help me from there.

Aug 29, 2022

I bought the car new on May 31, 2022. It had 266 miles on the odometer. With approx 200 miles driven it shut down while driving at 35 MPH. The dealer, East Coast VW, had it towed. After 10 days they said it was a faulty fuel sending unit and I was out of fuel, even though the fuel gauge read 3/8 of a tank. So again it happened. Saturday 8-27-2022. With 450 miles I've driven. Fuel gauge read 5/8 of a tank. This time it happened at 60 MPH in traffic.

Aug 13, 2022

I had a check engine light, epc warning, lane assist deactivated and stop start disabled all at once while on a drive in a remote area without cell service. The car had a dangerous loss of power. I brought it to the dealer and they told me there is no fix as its a common software issue that apparently faulty detects bad gas. All they could do was reset the code and say it may happen again, and recommend higher octane fuel. VW corporate was no help & I opened a buyback case. I don’t trust this car and dont think its safe to drive. This is the second time brought in for a stop start stall issue. Under 4k miles.

Jul 28, 2022

I was driving on the highway traveling approximately 65- 70 miles an hour when my TAOS began losing speed. I attempted to accelerate when I realized my speed had dropped to 56mph. I was unable to accelerate and a message popped on my dashboard showing about maximum RPM cannot exceed 4000. My engine shut off and moments later before the check engine light, hazard signal, and EPC lights flashed and turned on. I was forced to pull over off to the left shoulder. I was not able to restart my vehicle. Each time I tried it would power on, attempt to ignite and die down back to assessors mode with the engine, hazard, and EPc lights remaining on. Had my vehicle towed to VW dealership and am awaiting diagnostic and repair. Truly scary experience when my vehicle shut off on a highway with speed limits at 70mph!

I have a 2022 SEL 4motion. I purchased it in December. 7 months later I’m having issues with it. The extreme lag to this car is so unsafe. This is my 5th VW, and I’ve never had issues like this before. I can’t stress how many times I pray I don’t get hit when trying to accelerate the car. It’s mind blowing how slow the pickup is and super unsafe. I’ve had the EPC Light come on 3 weeks ago and now today I’ve had the check engine light on. The infotainment system is so unreliable. Sometimes the screen blacks out completely. The charging area becomes so hot that I have to take my phone off of it and put it elsewhere. When the EPC light came on I was driving on the highway and freaked out when the light came on and the vehicle started slowing down and wouldn’t accelerate as I kept trying to hit the gas pedal. Luckily my son wasn’t in the car. Volkswagen needs to straighten these serious issues out immediately. I will be on the hunt for another car. I don’t feel safe with this vehicle.

Jun 7, 2022

Engine electrical issue with knock sensor, dealer replaced only to find out they now need to install an engine electrical harness complete. Engine warning light comes on and states max engine rpm's limited to 4000, while doing so engine power is cut resulting in major loss of acceleration, while engine light is on safety system does not work. Infotainment system sometimes does not load for several minuets as well as the rear view camera not functioning while loading.

Apr 8, 2022

I have had start/stop error a few times but the other day I turned my car on and it said car on and chimed that a door was open even tho no light was on indicating which door. So I got out and re closed all of them. I get back in my parking brake is on now and won’t come off. So I shut the car off give it a few minutes and turn it back on. I was able to get the parking brake off to back out of my parking spot as I’m pulling out of the parking lot I was in my parking brake comes on in the middle of the intersection. I had to turn my car off to get the parking brake to go off.

The contact owns a 2022 Volkswagen Taos. The contact stated when she exited the highway at approximately 25 MPH, the vehicle completely stalled in the middle of the road. There were no warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact repeatedly pressed the Auto START/STOP button; however, the vehicle failed to start. The contact then used her keys to manually start the vehicle and drove safely home. The vehicle was taken the dealer however, the cause of the failure was not yet determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 11,000.

The rearview camera on our new Volkswagon TAOS does not work. We leased the TAOS on 12/27/21 and the rearview camera malfunctioned for a short time and then completely stopped working soon after. We took it to dealership twice and called Volkswagon several times but were told they do not have the part to fix it. We have two toddlers at home and neighbor children regularly play at our home. We are very concerned about safety of the vehicle, but it is our only vehicle. We are aware of Part 573 Safety Recall Report 20V-716 concerning a similar defect being non-compliant with FMVSS 111 on “Rear Visibility.” We emphasize that the rearview camera on our new vehicle does not work at all, despite FMVSS 111.

Periodically the MIB infotainment screen blacks out; this in turn places a warning error in the driver center console screen. While this occurs, nothing else can be accessed or displayed in the center console screen. This creates a potentially dangerous situation as it can lead to confusion on a variety of things (example: Is cruise control still engaged?). It can also deprive the driver of key safety information (example: If one or more tires experiences a loss of pressure, the driver will not be warned). Furthermore, if the driver is reliant on Navigation and is driving under stressful and adverse weather conditions, this could create panic and result in a collision. VW has no fix for the issue currently and is releasing the vehicle back to me, even though I have stated my safety concerns.

MIB infotainment system blanks out, simultaneously sending error code to driver center console rendering it useless. Key functions are therefore inoperable or inaccessible, including (but not limited to) TPMS monitoring / alert warning, rear view camera display, and potentially a host of other safety and advanced driver assist functions.

Modular Infotainment Platform (Radio, Navigation, etc.) called MIB goes blank when driving sometimes. This can be dangerous if it occurs when traffic is heavy and driver is dependent on the navigation system. Also simultaneously the driver center console display only shows the following error message: “Error Dynamic Road Sign Display”.

The contact stated that shortly after accelerating from a stop light, the vehicle suddenly stalled and the lane assist disabled, tire pressure sensor warning light, and the brake warning lights were illuminated. The contact was able to coast into a nearby gas station where she turned off and restarted the vehicle and the vehicle regained proper function. The contact had taken the vehicle to the dealer however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not under recall. The approximate failure mileage was 50 miles.

Purchased car on July 22 - only 360 miles on it. Engine cutoff when I stopped in my neighborhood. Additionally, the sound system stopped working - no radio volume for AM/FM/Sirius and phone. Phone calls come in but can’t answer them.
